This place has everything you could ever need for a pet and surprisingly they have more things than your big pet supply stores and at the same prices too. I was kind of meandering around and someone asked me if I needed anything and we got to talking about my cat that wouldn't drink water and for the last three years I've talked to everybody about it and I've never been able to get her to drink water, she was a feral cat, most of her life. he commented that I should add some water to her dry food when I mentioned that it's so expensive for me at the moment to buy wet food as well as dry food. since I had been discussing the issue on and off for the past few years with other cat owners, I took the advice with a grain of salt because nothing had worked until now. But I got home and I tried it, and my cat ate the entire thing faster than I had ever seen my cat eat . This doubt just represents the level of care and customer service and local small town small shop service. You don't really get nowadays. I feel like an 80-year-old riding this, but I am a millennial and I just very much appreciate this Store what a hidden gem what a place to find I'm so happy that I did. They have everything! They even sell cigarettes at the front counter, which threw me off at first, but they are the cheapest cigarettes I have ever witnessed in this town. The selection of cigarettes is the same as everywhere else, but the prices are about a dollar or less give or take. last thing, have to address this someone said the one thing they didn't like. Is that the pet store sold candy and cigarettes. Thus not giving them a five out of five star review despite everything else being great. I wanted to say that to stay in business this is likely a move that needed to be made in order to compete with big pet supply stores and keep their prices competitive * ** regardless of whether candy or cigarettes offends one, the rareness and necessity for local business should outweigh any vices one may find brackish. this is a commendable business move, and I applaud it and would help other stores can follow in order to stay in business. I really try to be friendly wherever I go, have had Nurse Practitioners tell me how happy they are whenever they see me on their schedule for the day, but this was like walking into a brick wall. The gentleman behind the counter was capable of smiling, he did so with someone who was obviously a regular who came in after me, but it felt like I was beneath him to interact with. You know, when you work for an establishment, you are an ambassador for that establishment. If you want the business to grow, being nice just may create more regulars.

You know your perception of weird cat lady? She's that! Honestly if I found a cat I wanted to adopt I'd think twice before wanting to deal with her as a liaison for the rescues. She's totally off putting. Once you're in the "lounge" she'll eagle eye you by coming in and sitting at a table and watch you interact with the cats, even though there is a huge glass window and she can see everything from her front desk. I've always thought Springfield and Eugene would benefit from having a cat café especially since there's a lot animal lovers and there's a lot of places to do. but the variety of things do, is much needed for the area. I thought it would be great especially from a mental health advocate point of view too, stress free for people to enjoy. [Location, Space & staff] I really love that the space was clean and well organized. it wasn't too small of a space. staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. I also love the fact that you can adopt the cats which is great so they could find homes. I really love the location because it's not too close to Autzen but on the familiar road to! I think the location is nearly perfect, as there's plenty of space to park. I definitely think it's so worth it to visit and spend an hour with these cats. I definitely am interested in the frequent visitor pass! [Drinks & snacks] Springfield Cat Lounge offered a few local beverages which I appreciate. They also had a variety of snacks, which I really loved since it's very inclusive for different dietary needs. I particularly love the Boba tea protein bar!! Never seen anything like it! [Merch] Shirts blankets tote bags and other cat related items or souvenirs are available to buy and in plenty! Also has local art and jewelry! I found most items were reasonably priced. [Note about rules] Only one thing I was not entirely happy about was when I saw there wasn't a reinforcement of rules, in the cat lounge area. Particularly the rule of not waking up any napping cats;about halfway into my visit, A couple came in and they were just waking up all the napping cats which I didn't appreciate. Part since it's a rule that was told by staff and I felt bad for the cats as they were napping, and then somebody put their hand in front of their faces.. [Events and more activities!] They offer doing knitting and occasionally other activities for an hour some part of the weeks, as part of their weekly events. So far, it has been the same price as a regular visit admission, which I really love! Overall, definitely looking forward to being a frequent visitor and keep on supporting this wonderful amazing local business!! Note the only other cat cafe in Oregon is in Bend. The one in Portland sadly closed I beli I visited the week of April 20th 2024, not sure why my review didn't post : ( so if there's any changes please keep that in mind.
