Cats! - A tabby cat with distinctive striped fur and green eyes is lying on a purple fluffy blanket inside a vehicle. The cat is reaching out with its paw towards the camera, with its head turned upside down and one eye partially closed. The background shows a window with a view of trees and buildings outside, and a notebook with writing is visible on the vehicle's dashboard.

A room full of adoptable cats! A cat lovers dream There are rules, of course, to assure the safety of cats and customers. They have a variety of snacks and drinks, and a huge selection of cat merch! They offer fun events regularly, and have great subscription deals for people who want to visit more than once. It's definitely worth visiting, whether or not you have cats at home.

adorable floof!

My mom and i drove all the way from Washington to experience this wonderful cat lounge, and it definitely did not disappoint! They have adorable kitties that are available for adoption but you can also just come to cuddle and relax! The lounge itself feels super cozy with a fireplace, library, and plenty of kitties with different purrsonalities to spend time with. The owner is incredible and we are so happy to see such a wonderful place for kitties to await adoption!

Front - The image shows the interior of Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, with shelves holding cat-themed mugs, plush toys, and accessories. A sign reading 'Cat Lounge' is visible on the wall, along with framed artwork. Plush cat figures are arranged on a window ledge, and a window provides a view of the outside. The space includes chairs and tables, with a cozy, organized atmosphere suitable for visitors and potential adopters.

Springfield cat lounge is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and I had a blast. All the kitties are very sweet and let you pet them and they're very cuddly and sleepy. You're allowed to give them treats and play with them. They love the treats sometimes too much, but nonetheless, this place was fantastic. Come here if you're thinking about adopting a cat.

Cats

Well designed and decorated Cat Lounge taking into account the needs of many cats in a community setting. Customers are acquainted with the rules which are for safety and cleanliness which is reassuring. Such a nice place to relax and have a snack or drink while watching the cats.

Chicory the cat - A black cat is crouched on a detailed, floral-patterned rug with shades of blue, red, and beige. The cat is near a piece of furniture with a blue, textured surface, and the background includes pet bowls and water bottles, indicating an indoor pet area.

Horrible experience. The owner is so rude which is unfortunate because this should be a safe place for cats and people.

The drinks were so good there was not one drink we got that we did not love. Lots of cute decor. Tons of seating. The pool table was free to use which was nice. Gotta love a good Tiki Bar!…read more We had an hour to kill before an appointment so we Yelped unique bars in the area and found The Monkey's Paw in Springfield. The profile looked pretty cool so we decided to go there for a drink. Once inside, it was pretty dark which is typical for a Tiki Bar. The decor was very good and there was a lot of it around. My fave was the mermaid skeleton above our seats. The drinks options were plentiful and they even had jello shots for a bargain price (we had a few of these for good measure!). I had The Monkey's Paw classic drink and another in our party had The Invisible Man drink. Each was lovingly prepared by the bartender who was super cool with the prep and conversations we had with him. I loved walking around and looking at all the decor on the walls and ceiling. There's a lot to see. There's even a door that leads to a courtyard with several food trucks ready to serve you. There is a stage near the entrance for bands and a small dance floor. I would love to return one evening to check out the atmosphere and do a little boogeying! Give this place a try. It's a well done Tiki Bar and one of the better ones I've been to.

We were seated accordingly but were then moved to the back of the room where no one was because our friend laughed too loudly. When we inquired why...we were told the comedian was too sensitive. WHAT? We are incredibly easy people. Docile, easy, etc. we asked the "worker" and he stated that the comedian is literally too sensitive and will walk off the stage if you laugh too loud and that they need to build contacts to build their business. One positive, the onion rings were good. So come here for that?... Zero points for me. I will NEVER be back here. UPDATE: I was approached by workers who stated they saw my review and said we were no longer welcome.

We decided to pay premium ticket prices, and upon seating we were ushered to the far back where no one else was. We were not given an explanation other than our friend had a loud laugh. (Not heckling, just a naturally loud laugh) We felt wronged due to the fact that we were a group who wished to buy drinks, food and enjoy a comedy show; however, at the end of the night, we were told that the comedian would not appreciate our friends laugh and would walk off the stage. (Odd behavior and not fitting for a comedian.) Apparently, the comedian was very sensitive and made us recluse to the background. This was a very disappointing experience. All our friend did was laugh. No refund offered btw. He does have a deep laugh, but so what. That is the point of comedy. The fact that he was asked to sit back in the very last row, is not fair and allows me to write this as a less than a star. I would never recommend this certain spot to anybody who wants to have a good night on a weekend. I wish I could give less than a 1 star review. I'll never go to this club again. The atmosphere is dark and not very classy where you wait for the show to begin. Finally, they ushered us into a room that was more appropriate, however not much better. Seriously, Less than one star. Do anything but go to. Get a pizza. Stay home. Just avoid this place with the "ownership." We weren't offered refunds for our premium tickets when we were put to the back of the room. Worse, the owner or manager came back once our friend posted a one star review. No joke, he came over and said, "She just gave a one star review kick them out." Well, that's not the only one star review buddy. Treat your patrons better and don't single out and embarrass them. Not once did they attempt to make it right.

Starlight Lounge: Where Eugene's Secret Broadway Rejects Serenade You (And It's Weirdly Good)…read more Gave the Starlight Lounge a whirl last Sunday for their karaoke night. Expectations were set somewhere between "drunken caterwauling" and "mildly painful nostalgia." Color me... surprised! Let's cut to the chase: the *talent* here. Eugene, who knew? Several performers weren't just "good for karaoke," they were legitimately, bafflingly excellent. Like, "should probably be charging admission or at least bothering Broadway agents" levels. One individual in particular possessed the kind of voice that makes you wonder why they're belting show tunes in a dimly lit Eugene bar on a Friday and not, you know, on a stage where people pay actual money. It was impressively non-awful. Actually, scratch that. It was great. Shockingly so. Drinks? Perfectly serviceable. Major points for the extensive non-alcoholic menu. They seemed genuinely willing to de-booze pretty much anything on request, which is handy if you're the designated listener to Eugene's hidden musical theatre gems. Staff were friendly enough, didn't seem phased by the slightly goth-adjacent vibe the place cultivates. Points for atmosphere. The singer's area wins for comfort - actual couches you can sink into while contemplating the life choices that led that phenomenal voice. The DJ deserves a medal. Actively prowling the darker corners of the bar, gently coercing the shy into public performance? Effective. Almost concerningly so. They offer food (didn't try it, smelled... present), and there are the obligatory video gambling machines for those who enjoy losing money slightly more efficiently. Now, the rating. 3+ stars.*** Why not higher? Look, it's a solid experience. Friendly, talented, comfortable, good drinks (alcoholic or not). But it's the Starlight Lounge, not the Met. Manage expectations. It's a pleasantly nice hidden gem, truly. Emphasis on gem but also on hidden and possibly on the faint scent of... well, I didn't try the women's restroom this time. That particular adventure, and its potential to swiftly terminate an evening "May or may" not determine if one needs to head home cause she's unable to use a disgusting toilet) is reserved for my next visit. A critical data point, one might say. Overall- Surprisingly excellent karaoke talent (seriously), good drinks (booze-free options aplenty), comfy vibe, proactive DJ. Minus points for existential questions raised by the talent pool's location and the looming bathroom inspection. **3+ stars. Good job, guys. Keep it up! P.S: it was ass FREE less the drinks etc... SCORE! 3 out of 5 = Good Job Helping hands; improve and attract more customers. 1. Partner with Downtown Hotels: Drop off flyers/promo cards at hotel concierge desk highlighting your surprisingly Broadway-level karaoke and extensive mocktail menu - perfect for tourists looking for unique, non-club nightlife. 2. Advertise Themed Nights in "The Weekly": Run simple, recurring ads or event listings for specific karaoke nights (e.g., "Showtune Sundays," "80s Power Hour") in Eugene's free weekly paper - targets locals planning their week. 3. Leverage Social Media Snippets: Post short video clips (even just 15-30 seconds!) of your best singers (with permission!) on Instagram/Facebook; yes even facebook. Showcase the talent & vibe - proof beats description. 4. Promote Mocktails Specifically: Add a dedicated "Zero Proof Stars" section to your drink menu/online & mention it explicitly in ads. Eugene's health-conscious crowd will notice. 5. Offer a "First-Timer" Perk: Give a small discount on a well drink or mocktail to anyone the DJ recruits to sing for the first time. Lowers the barrier, rewards participation. Good luck & I have faith you will continue to make wonderful cherished memories.
