Since I found her in February, she's been nothing short of a life-saver and has become a huge part of my dogs' lives AND become a dear friend. When my schedule became impossible and I started finding notes from my neighbor on my door when I'd get home at the end of the day, I knew I needed to find someone. In came Genna, who loves dogs and animals to the core of her being, and who has - to my chagrin - cleaned up a myriad of crazy messes my dogs greeted her with. She walks my two large pups numerous times a week and even though I never asked her to, she lets me know when she's arriving and sends me fantastic photos of the dogs EVERY SINGLE TIME. Simply put, if you need someone who'll love and look after your dogs and probably do a better job at it than even you? Hire Genna and her employees... but please don't take my time slots. Seriously!

I have tried on three different occasions reaching out to them and I've never gotten ahold of anyone when calling or have I ever received a call back when I've contact them through the website or left a voice message. Seems pretty basic to call a potential customer back (and I would have been a repeat customer) if you are a business, but hey what do I know? Based on this, I will not be reaching out to them again as I can already tell they are unprofessional.

Therefore, my phone service stopped working. I didn't remember that this happens, so it didn't occur to me. After a few days of not hearing from the cat sitter, I thought no news was good news but wondered if I should text her instead of waiting. She called my brother and yelled at me on the phone, accusing me of ignoring her alleged messages--messages I wasn't receiving. She was condescending, accusatory, and arrogant. I was utterly flustered and had no idea what she was talking about. Right after I hung up, someone suggested I completely turn off my phone, so I did, and when I turned it back on, I suddenly received many text messages, including hers. But that doesn't excuse her behavior. There are much better ways to communicate than insulting and accusing your customers. Also, my cats had gained a lot of weight while I was gone. Holiday season or not, I prefer cat sitters who spend some time playing with my sociable cats rather than dashing in and out.

I took the morning off work to meet with them. Bottom line: Complete no-show, no phone call or anything, and I am now missing precious hours from work before my vacation. If they can't be trusted to meet with clients with times that they insist on, how can they be trusted to remember to visit my animals?

They were happy and cared for, and we got great updates and pictures while we were gone. We flew back to Portland in mid-Jan 2024 (right in the middle of the terrible ice storm) and got stuck in Portland for a few nights because of road conditions. Trish was so nice about our delay and let us extend our stay. When we finally got back to Eugene, the ice was insane, and it was unsafe to drive across town to get our cats, so Trish let us extend our stay again! And then! The ice thawed, and a tree fell through our roof, collapsing our ceiling. Trish was, again, amazing and understanding and allowed our cats to stay even longer while we worked through the disaster and patched up the ceiling. I seriously don't know what we would have done without her, and I cannot say enough good things about Trish and the Kitty Cat Hotel. The facility is clean and the rooms are fun and our cats are comfortable and always return home happy. The Kitty Cat Hotel is a phenomenal place to care for your cats, and you never have to worry -- they are well cared for and loved here! Thank you Trish, you are the best!
