The fact that it's at home makes it seem like no big deal and they all come out relaxed and adorable. Her cuts look precious and photoworthy on the day; and they also grow out into a well-crafted mid-long coat. We are able to stretch our budget a bit because of her skilled cuts, which I also appreciate. The dogs love her and show her no fear or anxiety and a full service includes everything. When they show up they are kind and nice with our little love bug but we have now had three appointments that were missed , no response by Julia by text, phone，or anything else. I'm very frustrated. The first few times were great then no show or response to my texts or calls. Then good again and then again no show，no response, and then they give you a time and are late and try to flip it and say they showed up and we weren't home. Outstanding! We've had a really hard time finding anybody to trim our crazy cats' nails because they will not stop trying to attack during the attempt. We were so disappointed with Julia's care if our dogs. She was so professional at our meet and greet and we had her come for an evening visit and showed her our dogs evening walking route. We fully disclosed that we had a ring camera so that we know when someone comes in and out our front door. We left for two days/ one night and left her with a checklist of care which included a morning and evening walk. We made it clear that we would pay any extra charges for the care we requested. She didn't take them for a single walk but checked the box that she did plus texted us that the walk was planned. When we got home and immediately took our dogs out they both had two massive poops right away- poor guys! We also requested a drop in afternoon visit which she said would be 30-45 minutes and she was in and out in 19 minutes. I rarely post negative reviews - I'm a very positive attitude person and usually let bad service slide but since animals who can't communicate are the victims of her misrepresentation I decided to let you know. read more

I used Pawfect Love over Thanksgiving and Christmas. The service is very reasonably priced and Julia is willing to do holidays on short notice. I appreciated the daily emails and everything seemed to be done according to my instructions. However, the payment was too sketchy for me to continue. Julia asked me to email my CC info to her (big red flag). I finally got a hold of her on the phone to give her the CC info but then that credit card had to be cancelled. When I used them again, I decided to just buy a Visa gift card and email that info to not have to go through the telephone tag again. I didn't feel like my payment was securely handled and will not be going back because of this. If the payment was more secure, this would be five stars and I would continue to use them for my future travels. read more

I have thought about writing this review for quite some time and it was about one year ago that I used Pawfect love pet care to take care of my two cats. I've finally decided to tell my story because I would hate for anybody's pets to be neglected. My story goes like this: I used this service twice. The first time no issues. I was away for 4-5 days and I came home to two loving cats that seemed healthy and happy. Water bowl was full and the two food bowls empty and clean on the counter. The second trip I was away for two weeks in Europe. I came home to find one of my cats, Rex, much bigger in size. My boyfriend and I could not believe our eyes. There was no water bowl to seen. Only one bowl half full with dry food and the second bowl empty except for crumbs remaining from the dry food. I was shocked! Where was their water!!!!!! As soon as I put water down for them they drank like crazy!!! SERIOUSLY, CHLOE DID NOT STOP DRINKING THAT WHOLE NIGHT. Poor thing, I felt terrible. Dehydration is a serious issue and this is one reason I feed my cats wet food as well as the dry food. First of all I have to say that Rex loves to eat! And my other cat Chloe takes her time so we have to monitor their feeding as Rex will steal Chloe's food. Both cats get wet and dry food two times a day with fresh water. It takes about 20 mins for Chloe to finish her food and they do ALWAYS finish. We do not over feed our cats. I hired this company to spend two 30 min visits per day with Chloe & Rex. I went over everything with Julia and how their feeding HAS TO BE monitored. So how is it that I come home to find food remaing?? And NO WATER??? Pawfect Love Pet Care decided to do things their way by filling up ttheir two feeding bowls with a substantial amount of dry food. Perhaps this was done so they could reduce the amount of vists my cats received. I feel as though my cats were cheated. I would NEVER EVER do business with these people again. They CLEARLY Do Not Care about people's pets. Certainly not Chloe & Rex. Oh yeah, that last visited I requested somebody water the one plant I owned. Guess What??? That plant was dead when I got home. It's terrible to pay for a service and people just not give a damn. They are in the wrong business. read more

Julia is too good to be true! First of all, she's one of the only people who Sylvester was (almost) comfortable with from the first time she walked in the door. He gets a little nervous, but her calm, quiet demeanor earned his approval right away. And of course Sylvester's outgoing, nutty sister Bozo thinks Julia is super awesome. I recently needed a pet sitter to come check on my 2 cats while I was out of town for a few days. I had previously used a different company a couple years ago and at the time thought they were great, but after now having using Pawfect Love Pet Care I can honestly say they are the absolute best! As any pet owner knows, it can be pretty nerve-wrecking trusting someone you don't really know to take care of your pets, and also to give them access to your home while you are away. Julia and Rebekah made me feel completely comfortable and at ease from their very first visit. They both came weeks in advance of my trip to see my apartment, meet both of my cats and ask all sorts of questions (some of which I wouldn't have even thought to mention myself!) about each cat, what would take place during each visit and anything I specifically wanted done. They provided me with paperwork to fill out which also contained insurance information for the company, and Julia then made a 2nd visit to my apartment prior to my trip to pick up my keys and answer any additional questions. She is also great with follow-up communication and email, getting back to me quickly with any questions I had. Once Rebekah came for the first visit, she brought a magnetic QR code which she scans at her arrival and at the time she leaves; each automatically sending me an email notification that she was there, along with a note letting me know how the visit went and giving me any updates. Payment was also very easy online, and their rates are very reasonable, especially considering I live in Harlem (many other pet care companies I've looked into won't provide in home visits past the UWS). Just wanted to update my last post. I've now been using Julia from Pawfect for about a year and I can't say how great it has been! I never hesitate to leave town now; we recently took a two-week trip and Julia stayed the whole time, and I felt so secure that my pup was in great hands the whole time. I used Julia for years and was happy with the first few visits and then she just seemed to get really lazy. In the beginning she had a system that would clock in and out when she arrived and left since she is suppose to stay 25 minutes and play with the cats. She would send me photos of my cats everyday with an update and I felt like she was generally very good. Fast forward a couple years and she no longer has the clock in clock out system. She does not send consistent updates and 50% of the time I had to reach out to her for an update. One time she even said "not much to report". Seriously? I'm literally paying you to take care of my animals and provide me an update and you have nothing to report? I have a nest cam installed very obviously so I can see and talk to my animals when I'm away. I was gone for 3 weeks the last time I used her services and went back through the days and there was not a single day she stayed the 25 minutes promised and worse yet she never played with my cats, not even 1 time. I also returned to a litter box that looked like it had not been changed in days and litter all over the bathroom floor When I brought this up to Julia and told her I would not be paying for the last week (which I thought was already generous since I have her on film not fulfilling her contract) she charged my card anyway and I had to report it to my credit card company. Her website says satisfaction guaranteed which is obviously a lie. There are so many companies doing this in the city, go with someone who actually enjoys animals and will deliver what they claim. read more

Was very hesistant to write this review because for about 4 months they did an absolutely great job! My dog Wanda is a big energetic lab and she needed walks in the daytime because I was working 12 hour shifts (for about 3 months) and frequent overnight dog sitting. My temp job ended so she didn't need daytime walks anymore because I was home all the time. Again at first they were great, daily email updates, photos, happy puppy, etc. After I didn't consistently use them however, the service went downhill significantly. The email updates went from daily, to infrequent and then the last weekend trip away, NO email updates!! The last time I used them (and it was the VERY last time) my husband and I were away and our super re-did our floors. I told Julia via email that downstairs would be sanctioned off saturday day and evening and wanda would need to be in the room upstairs, but the floors could be walked on starting in the morning on sunday. We got home close to midnight on sunday and she was still locked in the room when she should have been free to roam starting sunday morning!! Obviously I was furious and called Julia, no answer. I emailed her and asked why Wanda locked in the room and said that I was very shocked and upset. Julia said "We didn't want to take a chance at ruining the floors" and "sorry for the miscommunication." I asked if that was the case how was she fed and watered? (the dog food was in the area that was taped off for the floors. Julia said that she had told Rebekah to tip toe over the floors... What? They didn't want to take any chances on ruining the floors (even though I said Sunday was fine) and yet the dog sitter walked across them? That really seems like common sense to me but the point is, if someone had sent me a sentence long email, I could have clarified any confusion. But no one did. They left my dog locked in a room all day except for her walks instead of communicating with me. They sent me NO email updates at all. I was clearly upset in my email and got no "Oh no I'm sorry" or anything back at all. The next day, Wanda had virtually no poop at all, hardly any...all of this spells out...DID THEY EVEN FEED MY DOG?? I don't know and because of how downhill the service went after I stopped using them as regularly, I no longer trust them at all! It's so sad how bad they turned out to be when they started off absolutely amazing. If you need a consistently used dog walker they're great, but if not, I would go somewhere else. read more

Julia was amazing with my elderly cats (11 and 14), one of whom is sick with Kidney Disease, during the summer heat! Seriously, Amazing! I had to be away for a week, and was terrified to leave my two cats in the care of someone I didn't know, particularly because one requires twice daily medication and is not terribly cooperative, and I've had bad experiences in the past. But when I met Julia, I was quickly reassured by her gentle, loving manner, her concern for details, and thorough inquiry into the cats' needs. Julia was incredible: unlike a lot of services that give you a college student or high school kid to look in on your cat as a part time gig, Julia is an accomplished cat care professional with a passion for animals. Not only did she come twice a day to feed, water, play with, medicate, and clean up after these little rascals, she also sent me email photos and detailed information about how much they ate, what moods they were in, whether they were using the bathroom, drinking water, and so on. It was so calming to be fully informaed about what was happening with my frailest cat, and seeing the photos of them put me at ease and allowed me to relax while away. When I returned, for the first time ever, my cats really didn't seem to miss me or resent that I had been away. Rather they blandly acknowledged that I had arrived and carried on with their business----a great sign that they had been well-cared for while I was away. I cannot recommend her highly enough! I trusted Julia. She quit for Manhattan. She contacted me AFTER I asked if she could do my June/July vacay. (I was home for 3 days already.) Her e-mail was blah, blah, blah this is difficult for me, She would take care of my babies in January if I couldn't find anyone. She "heard" about (and then sent a link to a site that she knows nothing about).. The site was a pay for membership, hope to help you find a sitter. My biggest issue with Julia is, she committed through April. As she said in her qutting e-mail, I am a dream client. I guess I am not rich enough for her. (I was paying for 15 mins of work that you pay for 30 mins.) I paid the same $23 (plus tax = $25) that you do. When Julia first arrived, last year, to start her business. She was not forthcoming. Apparently she wanted to walk dogs for $23 a visit. (I paid the same for a 15 min visit.) Keep in mind, as per her quote to me in an e-mail and verbally, "This is the easiest job I have ever had," I thought I had a trusted sitter forever. Had I known... As a Mama to 5 cats, she never had to play with them (2 of them fear people). All she had to do was come, clean the litter box (a huge litter box), give fresh water, refill the dry food. She never had to play or keep company. (She was out in 15 mins) BTW, after this posting she sent me another e-mail stating that she would have come in April but she can't now. (I would never have her now! She just wants me to take the reviews down. I can't, she earned the reviews.) Had I known I was just helping her get her business started and she would not honor her commitments, I would never have hired her.) To me, Julia is not a professional. She comes a dime a dozen. Pawfect Love Pet Care taught me over several months how to administer subcutaneous fluids to my cat, shortly after he was first diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. I had had a lady come before from another company, but I was so impressed with Pawfect's owner, Julia. Julia was much more knowledgeable than the lady from the other company, and Julia was also extremely calm, professional and unruffled around my kitty. He's not even a particularly aggressive cat, but he doesn't like subQs; at first he would try to run every time we administered them. The first subQ lady must not have had a great deal of experience compared to Julia. Every time my cat tried to run from her she seemed overwhelmed; after that happened twice, she said, "I don't think this is going to be possible." !!! What was I supposed to do, just let my cat die! Scheduling didn't work out with her anyway, so I called Julia. Never once did Julia say it would be impossible to administer the fluids, and she seemed to expect my cat's frightened behavior. Whenever it didn't work, she would very calmly and cheerfully say, "It's ok. It will happen. Let's try..." We tried various things, and Julia's calm energy helped calm me down.
