The San Dimas location is well-maintained. The small animals and fish that they have in store appear to be very healthy. They have a wide variety of pet food wet, and dry. They have many items for birds, hamsters, fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs. They have a groomer inside which I have not used so I am unable to recommend. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have almost always been able to supply my dogs with what they need at this location.

Confirmed my grooming appt day of and day before but still cancelled on me 2 hours before my appt. Unprofessional.

Unprofessional staff, and it makes me sad because I really enjoy taking my dog to Petco. I called to schedule a grooming appt for my dog on Monday. I have to call because that's the only way I'm able to book a VIP service so that my dog doesn't have to be in the kennel for long hours. The only available appt they had was for Friday at 2:15pm so I went ahead and booked. On the thursday before I was sent a confirmation text saying "we're excited to see you and Penelope tmrw at 2:15pm" and then today (Friday) I received a similar text at 9:32am saying "looking forward to seeing you today". I then get a call at 11:58pm from a lead saying that my groomer Alicia does not feel comfortable grooming my pet because of the notes that she read. My dog is kennel shy (which is why I book the vip treatment) and she has a hard time with men (bit a male Petco employee that was trying to pet her during her groom and did not read her notes). The lead then told me that I should return to montebello to get my dog groomed, when I told her we moved that's why I made the appointment here she just kept stating that I should take her back to montebello. My issue is that I was notified of this cancellation literally 2 hours before my appointment. Even after I received several confirmation texts prior to that. Very unprofessional. Alicia should have read the notes on my dog earlier in the week. She also shouldn't have sent 2 confirmation texts especially not the day of. I left a voicemail to the other lead since the current lead I spoke with told me to take my dog back to montebello even after explaining to her that we moved. I'm hoping just receive a reply and some form of reconciliation. Update: Jose and Barbara were super helpful and understanding!

When we started looking for a training program for Ruby last year, she was very dependent, anxious around other dogs, and struggled with listening to commands. Through a friend, we heard about Pack Pawsitive and were impressed with what was being taught here. When we were first introduced to the trainer Harmony, she was very kind and attentive and we knew she would make a difference in Ruby's learning experience. We loved reading through Ruby's report card at the end of each day and seeing what new things she learned! One of the best parts of Pack Pawsitive's programs is the digital resource library where we can refer to handouts and videos that throughly explained how we can continue to train Ruby at home. The in-person training sessions were also especially helpful, and Harmony was very insightful towards our questions and concerns. Seeing Ruby's growth week to week has been extremely rewarding and couldn't have been done without Harmony and the trainers at Pack Pawsitive. Ruby has become much more confident and focused, and has improved so much with socializing with other dogs. She learned new cues like recall, place, leave it, leash manners, and door manners which has made a great difference in our daily routines. With Ruby's newfound skills, we feel much more comfortable introducing her to new environments. Thank you to the team at Pack Pawsitive for providing a safe, caring, and of course positive learning environment for our pup! We're looking forward to solidifying Ruby's learning experience through the Enrichment daycare program.

I can not express how much of an amazing trainer Ian is!…read more I have a dog, Deku, who had behavioral issues. Deku has been through a previous board and train, but I feel like that board and train mainly tackled his obedience, not his behavior issues. I let Ian know about all of this prior to boarding Deku and he made sure to explain his process with me. He also made me write down goals for Deku so that he can focus on them and make sure he tackled through them. I boarded Deku with Ian for 3 weeks and Ian made sure to send over progress pictures/videos every single day! I appreciated the content of Deku because that is basically my baby lol. There was a mid session where Ian taught me how to properly use the ecollar and showcasing what Deku has been up to the time he was with Ian. Deku was pretty much a different dog by the mid session, so it excited me to have him back after the 3rd week. The day I got Deku back, Ian showed me all of the progress and work Deku did and he was completely different. Deku stopped reacting towards people/other dogs and he was very obedient with following all commands! It's been almost a week now and Ian has checked in on Deku while he's been at home for the week and I also have follow-up sessions included in my service! I have been so happy with Deku is at! Before, I would be too scared to bring Deku out in public due to his reactivity/behavior, but I truly believe he is a completely different dog now, for the better! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Ian to EVERYONE. He is the real deal. I do feel like Ian knows how to connect with these dogs and emphasizes about how important relationships + communicating with your dog. Ian id the BEST!
