SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! We haven't taken our 3 Chihuahuas dogs to a groomers in a long time. We've been bathing our dogs ourselves but decided to try this place out after seeing at breakfast. The staff here treated our pups like one of their own. Made sure they felt comfortable with them before we left. When we got back our dogs looked amazing. Everything felt soft and clean, nails looked great and they even gave them little bandanas and jewels to show off their style. They were very caring with us and our dogs and showed a lot of knowledge for proper care. The location was also SUPER clean and everything was well maintained. Moving across the state after going to the same groomer for well over a decade years has made finding my senior pup a new groomer quite the task. Coco's slowed down a lot in recent years with weak hind legs, hearing loss, and a big sensitivity around her face, so I was really cautious about who to trust with her now. I reached out to Lea, and her response immediately gave me confidence. Instead of brushing off Coco's challenges, she explained her approach with senior dogs: 1:1 time with each pup client, breaks when needed, reassurance, and lots of patience. She even mentioned she has a 15-year-old of her own and regularly works with senior pups, which made me feel even more comfortable giving her a try. When we got there, Coco was a little nervous, but Lea didn't rush. She took her time cuddling and calming Coco, and within minutes, Coco had melted in her arms. The grooming session lasted about three hours, which is longer than Coco's used to, but I really appreciated that Lea never rushed and always prioritized Coco's comfort. Since Coco can be weak and a little snippy, Lea used supportive harnesses and a muzzle for safety, and it was all handled so thoughtfully. Coco came out looking clean and tidy, but more importantly, she seemed cared for the whole way through. Lea clearly knows how to respect a dog's limits and when they've had enough. Coco will need time to adjust, but I feel like we've finally found someone local I can trust with her. This place is amazing and super cute. We are new puppy owners and pass by Bark and Sparkle often and were excited to bring our dog in for her first grooming. I sent a text and got a quick response with a breakdown of services and costs which were incredibly reasonable. We had our first appointment today and Lea and her sister were super welcoming. They explained everything and even gave us some tips on training and consistency specific to our dog breed. They gave our pup lots of love and let her explore so she would be comfortable. After the grooming Lea talked with us about what was done, how our dog reacted, and how to upkeep her at home. We felt like we got a whole lesson on care and maintenance that was catered to our dog.
