We made sure to put him through proper training before even considering grooming, and once we felt confident in his progress, we started looking for a groomer in the area. It was definitely challenging. Many places were hesitant to take him because of his background. When I reached out to All About Paws Pet Spa and explained his situation, they didn't hesitate at all. From the start, they were incredibly understanding and patient with Finn. Even on days when he can be a bit difficult, they continue to work with him with such care and professionalism. Honestly, I was so excited for this place. I am new to the area and was looking for a new groomer and read such great reviews but when I went to contact one of the numbers on the website, I was told that since my dog is older I shouldn't be changing groomers without even asking me why I was until after and telling me that since my dog is older, I'd have to wait in the parking lot if I do get them because if any temperament is shown that I will have to get my dog. Unfortunately I am updating my review with bad news. I honestly did not want to do this so I've procrastinated on writing it but I've found a new groomer with potential. I work in the veterinary field so I have specific request regarding my dogs haircuts but the last few times I've brought my 10yr old Maltipoo and 5yr old Shih Tzu for grooming, they were not groomed to my liking. I've texted the main groomer with pictures before and I've even written a list of what they need but they just don't care I guess. I was even able to set up an appointment through our Yelp communication with the business. Due to surgery, my pup had not been to the groomers in a couple of months, so he was in dire need of some pampering. I have been wanting to check out All About Paws for a couple of years now, but never got around to it, partly because this is about $5 higher than a place where I normally take my little guy. However, I've been enamoured with the idea of bringing him here one day, and I finally did for his birthday groom. I am glad that I did! My Cocoa has been nervous about grooming ever since he had a traumatic grooming experience a couple of years ago (so really, do your research before leaving your dog places!). Since he's nervous, I worry that he might be shaken up when I pick him up from grooming. But this was not the case at All About Paws! When I picked him up, he was standing calmly next to another dog that was also waiting to he picked up. He looked adorable in his short teddy bear cut (his usual). I was told he did very well, and he usually does, despite his nervousnes, but I am still relieved to see him unconcerned because it tells me he got treated well. Needless to say, I will be returning. Customer service: The lady that took in my dog was very attentive and helped me out right away when I enter. Same from before too. Amount of Time: From drop off to pick up, it was about 2 hours. Last time it was 5 hours. Grooming details: The grooming prior was really good. Made my little maltipoo fur look fluffy and clean. But this time, maybe they had a different groomer? I could see the individual jagged cuts on his chest but the rest of the body looks good. Last time, we also got our dog's tail colored in blue. That was fun! Stay away and beware!!!! These NEGLIGENT GROOMERS KILLED MY 5 YEAR OLD FRENCH BULLDOG. Penne was very healthy and comes from a reputable breeder and Champion line. Her vet who specializes in the breed, explained that she essentially drowned/sufficated because of poor and negligent attention during her visit. I dropped her off to be cleaned and found myself at Urgent Care within 20 minutes of picking her up. Her tongue was blue, she couldn't breathe and she arrived with a 104 tempature. This groomer claims to be knowledgeable in all breeds and K9 CPR Certified, although they refused any type of good care of my dog. They put her under a dryer, dehydrated her and she overheated/exassperated herself because of it. Every single time we have spoken to the owners, they were ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS, and have shown my family no sympathy. Now they have pushed us along to their insurance company relieving THEMSELVES OF ANY FAULT AT ALL. THEY MURDERED MY DOG, MY BEST FRIEND, OUR FAMILY MEMEBER, PURE NEGLIGENCE.. Their website is false advertisement, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL CARE! As a matter of fact their were 7-9 dogs loose at the same time. Not only are they negligent and careless they are dispicable and disgusting human beings. Their major lack of consideration has been apparent from the day she was admitted to urgent care. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE THAT REALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR COMPANION/FAMILY MEMBER!!!!!!! Not to worry, this is not even close to being over! We brought our 7 year old Pit for grooming and we were able to pick him up within the hour. I've been coming here for several years and never had any issues. Usually when I set an appointment, it's made within a few days of me contacting them. The owner doesn't take calls but will wait for you to leave a message, then she will text to set up an appointment, and she is short tempered and gives you that arrogant attitude as if she is the patron and you owe her something. This last appointment I set with her was set a week ago, which was unusually farther than the usual 2-3 day window that appointments are set. I guess she is too busy to care if she insults her customers with her unfriendly demeanor, as if she is the customer and I'm the business owner. I am a father of 2, and I work nights, and the morning of the appointment I had a recital for my daughter, and even though I received a reminder the day before, it was a busy morning, I had very little sleep the night before, and the grooming appointment slipped my mind. So I get a text about 12:39pm, 39 min past my appointment time, telling me that I can still make the appointment if I am able to show up in the next 20 min, but I responded too late and was told my only option was reschedule and that I had to pay a $35 missed appointment fee, which I felt was a bit unfair since I've never missed an appointment before. Even though it was the first time I missed an appointment, I got responses with an attitude as if i regularly miss appointments. The owner wouldn't budge on the fee or give me any kind of slack or waive it since it's never happened before, she insisted that it wouldn't be fair to other customers (regardless of how long they've been a customer apparently). The owner was willing to lose years of future business and disregard any customer loyalty over a $35 fee! This is what happens when you're a dog mom and not a real mom and can't relate to parents who have human children and have to deal with unexpected events that come up in the middle of the night or have to attend their child's recital. If you want business with an attitude from an owner who doesn't have any social etiquette or business sense and who is only about the dollar or who doesn't value long time customers, this is the place for you! As for me, I will never be coming back here and will seek out a place with friendlier service, good riddance! read more

I just took my beloved Mochi to All About Paws Pet Spa today to be groomed by Erin, and we are both so pleased with the experience! Mochi is a mixed breed with a coat that's a little difficult to describe, but they had us come on in and checked her out right before her appointment. They made it easy to book an appointment (did it via Yelp, as a first-time customer) and happened to get us in quickly since they had a mid-week cancellation. Erin recommended a particular bath and cut for Mochi based on her coat once we arrived. Everyone at All About Paws was super welcoming and friendly, and I could tell they treated Mochi like one of their own pets. She was a little nervous when I dropped her off, but Mochi had the pep back in her step when I picked her up -- not stressed or nervous in the least! Of course, she came out looking fresh and clean, with a cute little flower attached to her collar, neatly trimmed eyebrows (her terrier brows were getting unruly!), and a nice, soft, and even coat. The price here is great and definitely reasonable, too. After this experience, I'm confident that Mochi is in very capable, understanding, and friendly hands here, and we're definitely coming back for her next groom! read more

Maybe those 2 bad reviews were on a slammed day with short staffing which all businesses have sometimes.
