I have been bringing my 2 small dogs here monthly for over two years. I have had nothing but the best service and quick/easy booking. They have never canceled or rescheduled on me and continue to provide the best service. I book with Sharon Xue Yun Zhu every month and she always goes above and beyond for my doggies.

1 Star - Safety & Accountability Matter I brought my two dogs, Cooper and Marley, to Colonies Pet Grooming expecting a routine grooming. Instead, Cooper ended up needing urgent veterinary care shortly after his appointment. Following the grooming, Cooper developed severe irritation in his eyes that required immediate medical treatment. The vet treated him for chemical irritation and inflammation. I was left with over $300 in veterinary bills as a direct result of what was used during his service. When I contacted the business, they issued a refund for the grooming (which I appreciate). However, they refused to take responsibility for the veterinary costs, even after I provided photos of Cooper's condition and a copy of the vet bill at their request. Communication was handled through staff rather than the owner directly, and despite multiple calls, I was never contacted by the owner personally. What concerned me further was the environment. When I returned to the facility, the smell of strong chemicals (ammonia/bleach-like) was overwhelming--raising serious concerns about what products are being used on dogs' faces and eyes. This is not about money alone. It is about: * Lack of transparency regarding grooming products * No screening for potential sensitivities * And a refusal to fully take responsibility when a dog was harmed Dogs are family. Just like people, they can have reactions to certain products. When a pet is injured as a result of a service, ethical business practice means doing more than simply refunding the original charge. I am sharing this so other pet owners can make an informed decision. If you choose to use this business, I strongly recommend asking exactly what products are being used and what their policy is if a pet requires medical care after a service.

I have included my reciept and the photos of my dog to show the negligence of this location. First I'll preface this by saying the grooming is fine, but and this is a big but. They change pricing after the groom. I was paying 120.00 dollars for a couple of years, today dropped my dog off to get his regular groom expecting to pay the same.... Went to p/u and presto they said 180.00 dollars without my 10.00 dollar tip. Mind you there is no posting of prices on any board, no mention of any sort of price change at drop off then they just demand that you pay the 60 dollar difference. No way to do business. Needless to say I will find another groomer and will not return. Unfortunately wasn't able to make a choice whether I was willing to pay the 60 dollar difference or go to another place before I turned my dog over to them. So with that beware you know what their price is before you have the grooming done. read more

Every groomer (we've tried 3-4 different groomers at this point) is professional, excessively kind, and gives my dog the exact haircut we want. My dog doesn't love the groomer but always behaves well there. She comes out smelling so good, and we love the service here. Yesterday, the receptionist and groomer (Cassandra) even accommodated me needing a last minute appointment and 15 minute late arrival. They are the best! Thank you! read more

This is the best groomers that I have found. We tried 2 mobile groomers and 3 other groomers. Their prices are reasonable and have been very easy to get an appointment. The groomers have always done a good job with the cuts and my dog does not seem to hate this place as he has with groomers in the past. read more

I love the service here! They were quick to make me a same-day appointment. The groomer came out and met my dog, told me the rate, and got to work. The rates are pretty standard. $95 for a shave down for my Aussie-doodle. Sounds high but he was pretty matted and it took a good 2-3 hours. He looked adorable with his little bandana after he was done. read more

Just took my baby to this grooming place, and I'm so impressed! The staff was super friendly and treated my baby with so much care.Her haircut came out perfect--She looks absolutely adorable! They even gave her a cute Halloween bandana, which totally made my day. I'm really happy with the whole experience and would 100% recommend them to anyone. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

5 Stars - Above and Beyond in Every Way…read more After almost two years of not being able to take my cat to a groomer, I was honestly starting to lose hope. I searched everywhere and no one would take her -- she's extremely difficult to work with, and most places wouldn't even consider it. I was finally referred to Upland Pet Grooming, and let me just say... this was hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made. Rebecca, the owner, was incredible from the very first call. She was friendly, patient, and genuinely understanding. She let me fully explain my situation and my cat's behavior without cutting me off or rushing me. She actually listened, explained my options clearly, and made me feel comfortable and confident leaving my cat in her care. The results? They delivered 150% better than I ever anticipated. On top of that, there was a mix-up on my end with pickup time -- completely my mistake -- and instead of making it an issue, they went above and beyond and personally dropped my cat off at my house at 6:30 PM. Who does that nowadays? I am beyond grateful for Rebecca and her team. If you have a difficult pet, have been turned away elsewhere, or just want a groomer who truly cares -- this is the place. The only thing…read moreI can say is I want them to trim her butt hair more, which is something they can adjust next time. The place is small, nice and clean. You can see dogs being trimmed behind the glass and the staff is pretty flexible with appointments, which I appreciated. I used to go to PetSmart but their pricing is so high, I wanted to try something locally owned. I'm glad I tried this place out! I'll be bringing Nala back.

I chose this groomer based on their stellar ratings and a personal recommendation. However, upon picking up my pup, I was shocked, dismayed and nauseous. I couldn't even recognize him when they brought him out. Despite our detailed discussion about our preferences, they completely disregarded them and shaved him entirely. Furthermore, the groomer suggested I return on quieter days like Monday or Tuesday, indicating they needed more time. It's frustrating they didn't communicate this beforehand. Even if the task seemed unmanageable, a heads-up would have been appreciated. I would have still paid for the attempt. read more

First time at the colonies groomers,MJ was super nice she took the time to talk to me and to get to know my girls Yorkshire,I didn't fill rush at anytime like most grooming salon do she help me decide the best cut that soothe them, I really fell very comfortable to leave my girls with her, my babies are frighten and nervous well not with MJ she has a very calm energy which i think is very important when working with our babies before I leave she make sure i was happy with the cut.I will definitely be back and recommended this place to all my friends, Thanks MJ read more

We love this place!!! The ladies are always attentive to my dog. My dog comes out looking like a million bucks!!! She loves getting groomed here!! Everyone knows their stuff. The place is always clean. They will take care of all your grooming needs. We recently got my dog a paw spa/treatment. Everyone in our house loved how her paws felt after the paw spa/treatment. I brought our two huskies in for their first time grooming and had such a great experience! The groomer, Chris, did a fantastic job. They got a bath, deshedding, and teeth cleaning. Always a beautiful job on our Akita girl, Katana. Chris and his mom just do a fabulous job deshedding, and grooming Katana. It can't be easy with a double coat.
