It went super well really informational with my dog's problems and tailored my cockerspaniel to perfection

Would recommend! Was able to get an appointment quickly via Yelp. I've got a 12 yr old golden retriever and a bad back so I'm no longer able to bathe him. He loves bath time but his age and mine just don't work anymore as he needs a boost up and I can't do it. He was done within 2 hrs and came home smelling and looking great with his little bandanna on. Price was very reasonable and again I would recommend. read more

For the most part, I am really happy with this place. But, they are usually booked way in advance. The last time I took my 4 legged kid I was a little disappointed and shocked to see her tail cut very short. I did ask for a summer haircut usually meaning short especially around her anal glands. But, i think this time they went over board on the tail. They usually leave her tail with some hair. thankfully it is now growing back and she was not hurt or injured. . read more

My wife and I have been bringing our Shih Tzus here for well over 10 years now. We usually get the works/full groom and have always been satisfied with their work . They get booked up fast so we always calls at least a month in advance . They are all finished usually in less than three hours for our 3 dogs. The prices have gone up throughout the years but they are still comparable to other groomers we have gone to, mobile groomers charge considerably more read more

Barks and Bones has been the best groomer i've taken my dogs to. With other groomers I notice that my dogs come out anxious and irritated, but with them my dogs come out happy and excited which says a lot about how they handle my dogs. They even give out free accessories! Although because they are popular groomers and have great services you need to book way ahead as appointments fill out quick! Will definitely be coming back soon. read more

The best part of Bath 'N Buns yesterday was meeting Jennifer! A ray of sunshine! I have two Chihuahua mixes that are brother & sister, George & Molly. Their favorite part of Bath 'N Buns was Jennifer too! We were first time clients and they needed a nail trim badly. Not having time to take them to Pet Smart because I'm getting my house ready to sell, I called Jennifer. Best nail trim ever & I swear they looked liked they had been bathed too. It must have been because they were so happy being with her. - Mary Jane Prothro-Jones , Rancho Cucamonga read more

BEWARE OF DOG GROOMER WHO IS INCOMPETENT WITH DEPLORABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I have a Samoyed dog who loves to swim. It is his favorite activity. He swims everyday - it helps keep him cool and it is good exercise. However, the downside of him swimming is that even though he gets brushed everyday, he still gets matted. To supplement the daily brushing, I have been taking him to Barks & Bones for a couple of years now. The owner has always been communicative and has provided good customer service, with now the exception of his staff, in particular a lady named Alex. The customer service experience that I received from Alex was worse than what you would get at midnight from an Arby's in Compton. At my most recent visit to Barks & Bones, when I dropped off my dog, I acknowledged that he had matted fur around his collar area, which is difficult to reach and said that it was fine to shave out if necessary, but to hide/cover it like always so that it isn't noticeable. When I pick up my dog a few hours later, his butt/backside is completely shaved. First, I never authorized the groomer to shave his butt. Second, the decision to shave his butt was completely unnecessary and just plain lazy - when he gets diarrhea, we use small trimmers/clippers...they could have easily used a combination of scissors, brushing, and small delicate clippers, but instead they took a lazy, and potentially malicious route by shaving it. It shows a lack of compassion, communication, and competence. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, Alex was extremely defensive and rude. I hope that the calls are recorded so that the owner can hear the things she said to me. Instead of taking any accountability, she defended their actions. She even said at one point that he should be completely shaved, which again highlights her lack of competence as his main body/back has no matting. At one point I asked Alex if they don't know what to do and how to run the shop when the owner is not around and she responded with, "no, WE, do everything around here anyway" which is sincerely hope is not the case for the benefit of the helpless animals and customers alike. Additionally, I had/have another appointment on the calendar for a future date and at one point, unprovoked, Alex said "OK cancel", I said what are you cancelling and she said your next appointment. I told her that I never asked for my appointment to be cancelled and told her I would keep it for now as long as the owner is present...she was just cancelling the appointment out of immaturity and spite. A common miscommunication on their part is understandable, even though my poor dog's fur will never grow back the same, but you need to take ownership for your mistake, not double down on it like Alex did. She has no business operating in a customer-facing role. Since the owner has provided good customer service and communication in the past, I will open the door for him to rectify the situation and change my overall opinion and customer experience with Barks & Bones. We've been taking our dogs to Barks and Bones from a few years now! We love our dogs and wouldn't trust them to just anyone (NO WAY!) so when we found this boutique we kept going back. Barks and Bones always calls to remind us of our appointments which we schedule every two months or so. They're located close the the Ontario Mills and Victoria gardens malls which allows us to go shop or eat while we wait if we want. The staff is always friendly and nice and they seem to be dog lovers! The shop is clean and we were so happy to see that they survived the downtime during the pandemic! They give our dogs great cuts and always add cute scarfs and good smelling fragrances! The price is just right and competitive with other dog grooming businesses as well. Go to this place, they're amazing! read more

As always. My Yorkie looks amazing. I'm just a little disappointed that they felt the need to charge me for a "large dog" when my new, Doodle puppy is only 4mo old. I had planned to bring him in with our Yorkie, Max for his regularly scheduled grooming a but it looks like I'm going to have to take him somewhere else going forward. Our Doodle, Monty is only 23 lbs right now. I can't imagine I'd be paying for a large breed, grooming fee, to start, at 4 months old. Anyhow, here they are, clean & fluffy. read more

It seems that every time my dog goes in for grooming, the price increases several more dollars. The check in person is usually not the actual groomer. The only reason I still take her there is because she doesn't get kept for 3-4 hours. But now I need to find elsewhere. Today, her beautiful long ears got chopped to her flap and the girl said "it was miscommunication." I am furious. read more

It is so rare to find a place that can not only take your pup baby in on short notice, but then can make the time to give her full-service! Honestly guys, I was in Rancho on business w my fur baby, and she needed a groom, but a bath would do. With 24-hours notice and openness on my time, Kevin took my call and said they can at least least bathe her, and dependent on her attitude, they might be able to squeeze my girl in. I am SO grateful for the barks and bones team! I'll be taking my Cavapoo to them anytime I'm in town! read more

I always brought my Golden here because it was the only grooming place that she WANTED to go to! (When we went to other grooming places, she would get scared and put on her brakes. Here, she would pull me through the door because she was so excited to go inside. I think that says a lot about how well she was treated by the staff here!) Since I had such wonderful experiences with my Golden, I decided to bring my Pomeranian here. Alex was incredibly sweet and did a fabulous job with the cut. She cut my Pom exactly like the pictures I showed her. Not only does Barks & Bones have friendly and experienced staff, but their prices are just right for my budget. I've been going here for a while now, and I've noticed their work is not consistent. This will be my last time going here. I took my dogs there last week and one of my dogs didn't even have his ears clean. He developed an ear infection, and within a few days it got worse. My other two dogs haircut seems to be fine. Although one of my dogs hair is still kind of long. I would give them zero stars because of what happened to my dog with the ear infection. He was suffering so bad. read more

This place was amazing from start to finish. They even give you a courtesy call to remind you of your appointment. Upon arriving, they communicate to make sure your pup gets the exact cut you want. They are very friendly and welcoming. They called around the time they said they would to pick up my boy. They explained how the cut went and how I can help get my pup a little more comfortable during it. I know he can be super difficult with scissors around his mouth but they still did an amazing job and did exactly what I wanted. He looks so good! He smells great and his fur has never felt this soft. I made sure to make another appointment because they book up fast, which speaks volumes about how great they are. They are so patient, kind and you can tell that they really care about these dogs. Thank you Sam for the wonderful job you did and for being super kind and helpful today.
