I just love K-9 University for my puppy's training. We had mini successes each weekend with his first obedience course. I love how my Teddy can now sit, lie and heel on command. The trainers have a wealth of knowledge and are great with the animals and us owners! I highly recommend using K-9 University!

Our boy bear is becoming a great dog thanks to all the help from k9 university. The classes are engaging and the dogs have a great time. We look forward to continuing with more classes as bear grows up.

I have a golden retriever/husky/chow mix, who is naturally very protective. After being attacked by a pack of huskies (keep your dogs on leashes, people!), he became super reactive. Walks became impossible without constantly being on edge of encountering another dog or stranger. He's been to multiple different trainers and facilities, and nothing really worked. He's great at learning commands but nothing helped the reactivity. When I first saw K-9 University on instagram and watched their "crowd walk" video. I told myself that my dog and I would NEVER be able to do that. Fast forward a few months and a lot of dedication, and not only did he pass the crowd walk with flying colors, but has also now completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine programs. He goes everywhere with me now and people are constantly complimenting on how well behaved he is. The best part is that he is actually happier and loves meeting new people when we are out. We were even able to have a birthday party for him (naturally K9 University was invited), and he had a great time with his best human and furry friends!

Jennifer was wonderful she was encouraging and gave great advice I appreciate all her help

    Kirby!

Wonderful trainers, have done wonders for my puppy's obedience, socialization, and our confidence. Clear syllabus, with expectations of how much work and needs laid out. Jenny and Nathalie have helped our boy Kirby change from a landshark that pulled like a freight train into a well mannered and confident boy! Highly recommended!

great experience overall, my puppy milo got to have a ton of great learning moments like learning patience, commands during distraction, and how to handle being around and with other dogs of all sizes.

Jennifer was a wonderful instructor! Me and Charlie learned so much! Looking forward to the next round of classes.

We rescued a 1 y/o Carolina Dog (mix?) that was in desperate need of training. He was super sweet but walking a 60-lb dog was a nightmare. I started to dread it because he constantly pulled this way & that. I was able to train basic commands on my own but was just not able to get him to not want to rip my arm out on walks. We thought he was just not trainable. After searching online, we found K-9 University. After speaking with the trainer, Nathalie, she suggested 1-on-1 training due to the fact that our dog, Wilson, is a rescue. But after a few visits, boy what a difference!! She helped us SO MUCH! I definitely worked with him every day, on our own and by graduation, such an improvement. Our dog still doesn't know how to act around other dogs. Gets super hyped but at least, on walks, I can get him to listen and stay rather than fear he might yank me. We have since continued on to group basic obedience training. After day 1, I wanted to cry because I just thought maybe our dog just can't be around other dogs but Nathalie assured me to keep at it. And each week, it's been an improvement! I can't wait for Wilson to graduate and probably continue with other training. I highly, highly recommend Nathalie and K-9 University!! From day 1 to now, HUGE difference with our dog.

Natalie and Jenny both are great! I brought my 6 months old puppy girl to Jenny group classes and Natalie was her personal trainer during her 2 weeks board & train program. She learn a lot from them especially after the board & train program. My puppy girl knew most of the basic commands already but tends to bite and jump a lot plus she was so scared of other dogs (but super friendly to any human). She's a hyperactive girl because of her breed and she's still in her puppy stage. Now she came home much better. She still bites and jumps but Natalie found a way that i can stop her from biting and jumping in a second. She reacts and turns away her mouth immediately when I tell her to 'leave-it' and get down right away when I tell her 'off' when she tries to jump. That really helps me to train and practice with her from now on. Natalie was also a big help of she socializing with other dogs. She's still shy when she sees stranger dogs but at least she doesn't scream anymore when other dogs try to approach her and sometimes she would even try to get other dogs to chase her. I know trainers' works are no magic. To be honest they cannot transform a dog in 180 degrees in days. Teaching a dog is all about owner's months of practice with the dog or even years (depends on how stubborn the dog is). But Natalie could find the tricks based on my puppy's personality and understanding to help me to train my puppy faster. She found a way to make her be more focus on commands. That really ease my work. Mostly importantly, when I picked up my girl, my girl couldn't recognize me because I had my mask on. Then I removed my mask and she ran to me immediately but stopped suddenly when she got very closed to me and looked at Natalie instead. Kind of see what Natalie wanted her to do. After Natalie got close to me, then she became crazy all over me and crazily licked me. That made me feel that my puppy really liked and trusted Natalie. Natalie must had treated her very well to have such of trust over a trainer who my puppy only knew for 2 weeks. I feel grateful to find Natalie as her trainer although I felt a little heartbroken when my puppy looked for Natalie's approval before showing the passion to see mommy (me) again after 2 weeks. I knew she was in a good hand.

We have a shepherd pit that would get overly excited when he encountered other dogs. After doing some research, we found K-9 University. We loved how local and fairly priced it was. Zorro enrolled in the 3 week board and train program with Nathalie. While we missed our pup very much, we knew this was a great investment. Nathalie would send us weekly videos showing Zorro's progress. We have seen a great improvement and we continue to work with him everyday!

We rescued a Shih Tzu for our family and had never owned a dog. Our neighbor raved about K-9 University and Natalie. It was the best decision we ever made for our dog, Daisy. My family all learned the basic commands and Daisy became a more and more happier, well trained, and wonderful addition to the family!!! I recommend K-9 University to everyone.

Absolutely amazing organization! Marshmallow has been doing great after her board and train experience with Nathalie and now her intermediate classes. Can't wait to continue talking my dog here. The trainers are incredible with each and every dog.

Now that I have more time I wanted to finish Bella's training. I reached out to bark busters because Bella had a lot of anxiety and would have non stop barking issues. We have a new baby in the house so all the barking was no fun! I'm telling you, no joke after the first visit with our trainer Justine, I felt as if Bella was a whole new dog! She gives such great advice on how to properly train your dog without food incentives and shock collars! I was so amazed that I started telling a lot of my friends about it! I just finished my second session with Justine today and she was giving me tips and tricks on how to walk Bella without her pulling. By the end of the session I was walking Bella and Bella wasn't walking me! Justine truly cares for me and Bella and is very thoughtful on modifying things that help me the best! It's definitely worth the investment. I couldn't be any more happy and I would definitely recommend Bark Busters, especially with Justine, to everyone and anyone! Enjoy a picture of Bella after our training session today!

Since then, we have done our best to train her (even hired a dog training company) and while she's been amazing to us, there have been some incidents. We tried to correct her behavior but we had to go beyond just correcting a behavior, we had to know the why. We needed a dog behaviorist. Enter Bark Busters and Justine! From the very first phone conversation with Justine, she told us about a dog's personality (the who) vs. a dog's behavior (the why). Was our dog just naturally an aggressive dog or was our dog showing aggression due to past trauma. After the initial phone call then came the in person assessment in our home, Justine knew our dog's personality was sweet and loving to us; however, due to her being a rescue, her past experiences led to trauma that led to aggressive behaviors towards others in certain situations. Moreover, during that first assessment, she educated us things we had no idea about or thought about with dogs as pets plus what we need to be and do as owners. Justine was and is exactly what we were looking for in understanding our dog and from there building the right relationship with our dog that will keep her and others safe. The business model and curriculum that Bark Busters and Justine have put in place is one of a kind and works from day 1. We have always wanted what is best for our dog and to give her the best life possible, especially because she is a rescue and her breed. Bark Busters and Justine continues to give us the tools in place to build the confidence and trust we have as owners in our dog and our dog has in us as owners. We are forever grateful to Justine and will recommend her and Bark Busters to anyone!

When we started looking for a training program for Ruby last year, she was very dependent, anxious around other dogs, and struggled with listening to commands. Through a friend, we heard about Pack Pawsitive and were impressed with what was being taught here. When we were first introduced to the trainer Harmony, she was very kind and attentive and we knew she would make a difference in Ruby's learning experience. We loved reading through Ruby's report card at the end of each day and seeing what new things she learned! One of the best parts of Pack Pawsitive's programs is the digital resource library where we can refer to handouts and videos that throughly explained how we can continue to train Ruby at home. The in-person training sessions were also especially helpful, and Harmony was very insightful towards our questions and concerns. Seeing Ruby's growth week to week has been extremely rewarding and couldn't have been done without Harmony and the trainers at Pack Pawsitive. Ruby has become much more confident and focused, and has improved so much with socializing with other dogs. She learned new cues like recall, place, leave it, leash manners, and door manners which has made a great difference in our daily routines. No Bull Rehab - Dude

    No Bull Rehab

    (55 reviews)

A very overdue review for No Bull Rehab…read more A little background on our dog, Bubba: we adopted him from the Inland Valley Humane Society after looking for a young adult dog who would fit well with our two small kids. Bubba, a 2-year-old shepherd bulldog mix, seemed perfect -- sweet, potty trained, and a staff favorite. We fell in love immediately. Once we brought him home, though, we realized he had some significant behavioral challenges. Bubba was highly reactive to other dogs and had severe separation anxiety. He was destructive when left alone and even injured himself trying to escape two metal crates. Managing his anxiety while also handling his reactivity became overwhelming for our family. I've had dogs my whole life, so at first I tried working through it on my own. Eventually, though, it became clear we needed professional help. We met with several trainers, but nothing felt like the right fit. Many approaches seemed like temporary fixes that didn't address the root causes of his behavior. When we were expecting our third child, I knew we needed a real solution, so I started researching behavior-focused board-and-train programs. After a lot of searching, I found No Bull Rehab through a rescue organization they worked with. From the very first interaction, Sarah was incredibly responsive, empathetic, and informative. That communication alone stood out immediately. We brought Bubba in for a consultation with Drew and Sarah, and after just one meeting, we knew they were the right people for him. Their ability to read and explain his behavior was such a relief. Drew is so calm and completely in tune with all things dog. We enrolled Bubba in their 8-week behavior modification board-and-train program focused on his reactivity and anxiety. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. We received regular updates and always felt informed and supported. At one point, Bubba injured his foot by puncturing in between his toe on a walk during training, and they took incredible care of him -- coordinating vet visits, follow-ups, and adjusting his training while he healed. We trusted them so much that we chose to leave him there during recovery rather than bring him home. What really made the difference was that Drew didn't just train Bubba -- he trained us. He showed us realistic, sustainable ways to structure our daily life so Bubba could feel safe, calm, and successful. Unlike other programs that required hours of daily training, No Bull's approach fit naturally into real family life. The change in Bubba has been incredible. He's still himself -- a little anxious and quirky -- but now we have the tools to manage him safely and confidently. We can walk him daily, leave him home alone, and enjoy life with him instead of constantly living on edge. Most importantly, he's happier, and so are we. Even after training, Sarah and Drew have continued to be responsive and supportive whenever we've had questions. We live in Orange County and still bring Bubba back to No Bull whenever we travel because they know and understand him so well. Living with a behaviorally challenging dog can feel isolating and exhausting, but No Bull Rehab truly changed our lives with Bubba. We're incredibly grateful for everything they've done for our family, and I cannot recommend them enough.
