    The Dogmaster at work!
    Reid E Jensen J.

This was the fourth time we had Marie work with our dog and us. This time she helped us with a 7yr old GreatDane Lab mix rescued from the animal shelter. I am always amazed at how Marie has a bond with the dogs and how quickly she can get them to respond to her commands/actions. Marie will give you homework that you are to do with your dog to reinforce the commands you learned during your lesson. It's important to remember that you must do the homework and work with your dog. If you want an obedient dog, it will take work. What makes Marie stand out from others is how she trains you, the pet owner, to work with your dog in your home environment. Thank You again, Marie! We appreciate the talent and skills that you have taught Cooper and us!!

Marie is simply awesome. She has a remarkable ability to get the best out of animals. Admittedly, at first, I was quite curious if she could get my stubborn Rhodesian Ridgeback to obey commands. Within 10 minutes of our first lesson she had him on point and following her every word. Bennie took to her immediately. She exercised lots of patience and taught us as well how to be a better leader. She has a very simple but detailed process. You too will have to put in time and effort, but it was all worth it. Marie is definitely the one to call if you need help in training your dog. Highly recommended!

Tyson got a little certificate and toy after completing Marie's puppy program! He loves every minute of it :3

Let me first say that we LOVE Marie! Not gonna lie I was very intimidated initially. She's kind of like the Gordon Ramsay of dogs. She came in and pointed out everything I was doing wrong: EVERYTHING. I felt like a bad dog mom. BUT all my bad behavior had solutions she taught me very easily. Every time she trained with Tyson my jaw was on the ground. She's a miracle worker! Everything has improved. She taught me and Tyson how to always be safe and have control of a situation. His separation anxiety has subsided significantly. Don't expect her to teach them to play dead. She's going to teach you how to control your dog and the proper way communicate with them. Marie trains humans to train dogs :3

Yes!!! I am giving this great awesome lady a 5 Star+ review. Hubby found her at Yelp... so, thank you fellow yelpers for your good reviews. Marie is an awesome trainer... the first day Shiro met her, he listened and focused on her The DogMaster". Shiro is our 4th dog and adopted him from the pound. He's nine months and that's why we decided this time to have a trainer come to our home and give us a good training on how to work with a 9 month puppy that has more energy, and since he came from a shelter and lived there for more than 11 days not knowing the condition from where he really was when they found him on the streets of Los Angeles. On the first day of t with Marie, Shiro responded already knowing simple commands like sit and down. When he was in the pound, a volunteer trainer would work with some of the dogs in the pound and Shiro was one of them. Having Marie come for the 4 weeks of training to work with Shiro and us was the best decision we made. Not only Shiro getting trained but us as he's owner truly needing it even though we had dogs before... some new and fresh perspective that we had learned from Marie. So if you have a new family fur... definitely getting a trainer to come to you at your own home is the best because you are all in your own element... the family and it's surroundings! Thank you to Marie who taught Shiro... he's a dog to listen to the commands of his masters as he watches over the family to protect and love, and we ... as Shiro's owner to love and care for him because he is our family dog. Looking for a DogMaster trainer... call Marie!

The only thing I regret is not meeting Marie earlier. Thanks to Marie, it's never too late to teach an old dog (7 yrs) new tricks. Mimosa has transformed to a new dog. We're all surprised to see the improvement and progress of Mimosa made within only few weeks. I definitely recommend Marie The DogMaster for everyone. We miss Marie already.

Marie is very professional and her training is very straight forward so we can practice ourselves after the training. Me and Hajima ( my one year old puppy that I adopted 3 months ago) enjoy working with Marie during the training and he is really improved a lot on walking and no more leash pulling. The command that Marie taught me make Hajima knows I'm the leader and this lead him to be more attached to me in a respectful way. I highly recommend Marie if you want to find the right trainer.

Looking through websites and reviews of multiple trainers in the area, I was sold by Marie and her training techniques. Not only is she great with training techniques, but she has an educational background with training dogs. We recently adopted a one year old husky with limited training as he was chained in the backyard for most of his first year. Within four trainings, Marie went through all of the basic commands and more. She also showed us hand motions that correlate with the command. Our dog still retains (most) of the training and it's been very fun for us to see him grow and learn. She didn't only teach our dog, but trained us too! She's truly the dogmaster and i highly recommend her to be your first step to training your dog.

Marie was a great trainer for Peppa and did everything we asked for and more! This was our first dog and we were absolutely clueless. With her guidance, we were able to see changes almost right away. Obviously, you must work with your dog to perfect what she teaches but she's honestly a miracle worker. Peppa loved Marie very much and so did we! She is very accommodating and she is booked for a reason, so don't wait on it and contact her immediately! The whole experience was so easy and stress free for us and made a huge difference with Peppa's behavior. She even brought her a goodbye present!! Appreciate you very much Marie!

Yay! We completed The Puppy Obedience Course!

Let me tell you... we had a very pawsitive experience with Marie. She is very thorough in discussing your family and your dog's needs before starting to train the entire family (yes, the furry member too ). She is very knowledgeable (hence... DogMaster), loving, kind, and firm. She stresses the importance of having a mutual respect, love, and trust between you and your pet. Our puppy completed the "Puppy Basic Obedience Course", and I am proud to say that we all learned how to effectively communicate and understand. I am pleased to recommend, Marie Bymaster, The DogMaster to anyone who needs an excellent trainer.

Although it is a joyous time bringing home a new pup, reality quickly settles in that you have a little land shark and constant supervision. Our new pup was biting the kids every second and I couldn't imagine him settling down enough to chill while we were in the house. All that changes with Marie's training! Marie quickly empowered and built confidence in us to train our pup, including my kids ages 8 and 11. Her approach is firm yet kind. She is an expert and can deal with any situation. You really learn about the need for consistency. It was the best investment ever to have Marie join us during the first weeks of bringing pup home. I highly recommend. Worth every second!

Our puppy Loki on her graduation day. Look at that smile!
    Alexandria C.

Our little girl Loki was taken from her litter at 4 weeks old. She was a very scared, shy and nervous dog. My boyfriend and I wanted to find a trainer that would help Loki become a more confident and playful puppy! The first session, my boyfriend and I learned a lot. Marie told us that we had to switch everything we were already doing and do the correct way. She was training us and Loki at the same time! For example, we would always coddle Loki because we thought that would help her be calmer. When in fact we're just rewarding her scared behavior. Over the course of 4 weeks, we continuously trained Loki on her commands and we watched her grow and become more confident. The best thing to watch was Loki growing more attached and confident with Marie. She's so playful! Today was her graduation and Marie was so nice to print out a certificate for Loki as well as giving her a chew toy as a graduation present! Marie has surpassed our expectations and I can't thank her enough for her help! If you're looking for an experienced dog trainer who will teach you everything you and your puppy should know look no further! Marie is definitely the DogMaster.

Mommy and daddy are so proud and thankful! @hercules.the.corgi
    hannah d.

Hire her! Our high energy Corgi puppy listened, responded, and respected Marie since the first meeting. She's friendly but very firm and Hercules immediately knew she was the pack leader (which I had to learn). After some research we decided to ask Marie for help due to her flexible schedule and high Yelp reviews. I've worked with our puppy everyday since he was 2 months old, and although he already knew most of the basic commands before meeting Marie, we still had trouble with some, and we didn't know the proper way to walk him. Marie made every trick seem so easy. Taught him new tricks and reinforced ones he knew. I guess it just comes natural to her. It's amazing to watch how she works with our puppy. Give her a call and you'll thank her for teaching you the proper relationship with your dog!

Quintus you did it!! Graduation day!!
    Michaela G.

Marie was amazing! I was worried our Frenchie Quintus was too stubborn to learn. Marie gave us easy to carry out exercises, and in four short lessons, he learned so much. It is evident Marie loves what she does, and has a love for all beings canine. When Q graduated, she gave him a graduation gift, and his squirrel has become one of his favorite toys. I love that Marie comes to your home. This really set us up for success, as all of Q's lesson were in an environment he's comfortable in, and where he'll continue to learn. I cannot recommend Marie highly enough! If you're looking to train your dog, you cannot go wrong with Marie!!!

She started to sneeze a lot yesterday and it looked like she was trying to get something out of it. Since our regular vet didn't have any appointments, I scheduled a same day visit at Grand Animal Hospital. The doctor (an Indian female, though she never introduced herself or gave her name) examined my dog very briefly which literally just a couple of seconds and said she wanted to order an X-ray and bloodwork to check her white blood cell count. I asked if she could check inside my dog's nose for a possible foreign object. She said she couldn't because it would require putting my dog under anesthesia. I then asked if an X-ray would show a foreign body, and she told me no, it would only show structural issues, which was not my main concern. However, shortly after, she contradicted herself and said the X-ray could show a foreign object. She also said the bloodwork would show inflammation, but my dog's nose was already visibly swollen inside and bleeding, so inflammation was obvious. When I tried to explain that the inside of her nose looked swollen, she interrupted me and said, "there is no swelling, everything looks normal," without even properly examining her. My dog is a Pomeranian with Alopecia X (hair loss), which is a very common condition in this breed. When the doctor saw my dog has no hair, she looked suprised. The doctor seemed unfamiliar with it and suggested my dog must be mixed, which is incorrect. I also mentioned that my dog has itchy skin on her sides, but the doctor ignored this concern and instead just said she didn't see any fleas, which makes no sense since my dog has almost no hair. At the end of the visit, she said a nurse would bring an estimate for the X-ray and bloodwork. When the estimate came out, there was an additional test for upper respiratory infection that the doctor had never mentioned. The total estimate was around $1100 for only x ray and 2 blood work. This is the most expensive hospital ever. Overall, I felt like the doctor did not listen to my concerns, did not perform a proper exam, and was more focused on ordering tests than addressing the actual issue. Because of this, my husband and I decided not to proceed with any of the recommended tests and left. Unfortunately, the visit still cost $59, which felt like a complete waste given the lack of care and knowledge. The nurse was nice and waiting time was quick.
