It has been a month since Maya graduated Omega Paws. I will not lie, I was very worried about the fact the Maya would be taken for the duration of her training and I had a lot of questions. However, Alexx took the time to answer each question in detail and listed to our concerns. During her training, we received videos and pictures with a short summary of how she did that day. On the day we met with Alexx, we practiced what she had been training. During the following week, Alexx check on how Maya was doing, which was great as we were all adjusting and trying to continue the training at home. Overall, we saw a great difference in her behavior. We have continued to work on what was taught to us. She's doing well, and with more practice she continues to improve and is doing great. I would highly recommend Omega Paws!
I was having hard trouble finding a good trainer for my puppy his a German Shepherd Husky Mix which is two different haha. But I got in connected with 4 other places and they couldn't give me good details just went with what I said Omega Paws was one that I found on my Instagram add and wow I'm so grateful I was able to find them. When Alexx gave me a call he really broke down everything in details and answered all my questions with good response. At the end, I decided to choose them to train my puppy Duke. I choose the 3week program and boarding I was also able to do payments with them which was a great choice. 3 weeks away from my baby Duke was hard. However, it was a great choice he basically had his own personal Trainer Javier and Evelyn. They did an amazing job. They kept me updated almost everyday send me videos and photos. Each day they will send a message in detail what they did all day. Even on how to do it or what not to do. When I got Duke back he was a complete different puppy. I was so surprised on his behavior he started to listen more and will slowly got the progress with me. When he got dropped of Javier went through every detail with me and answered my questions. Know he waits for his food look a good boy, respects my family without jumping on to them, walks became more easy, no more pulling or biting. For him to be a puppy at 5m was amazing. They also offer boarding and I would choice them again! They also offered boarding, i went to a trip and my puppy Duke who is know 9m needed to board. Got in contact with Alexx I was able to choice Javier which I was blessed about. He did an amazing job with my puppy. During his boarding time I still got updates on his daily base photos/videos. I did a right choice by choosing Omega Paws. Couldn't as for a better Trainer. Thank you guys so much for caring, training, and loving my puppy Duke as he was part of your family.
I worked with Javier from Omega. Javier picked Henry up and sent me daily videos and written reports with tips on how to succeed once my dog Henry came back. What I really liked was the trainer takes your dog into their home so someone is with them around the clock. The dog is not left in a kennel but becomes part of the family in the trainers home. My dog had an ear infection and Javier gave the medicine as instructed and it was clear by the time I was home. I felt very comfortable leaving the dog with Omega and I would board my dog with Javier if there ever was a need. Sadly, Henry is sulking now because he misses Javier. I would recommend Javier without hesitation.
Omega Paws is wonderful! I spoke with several dog trainers before choosing Omega Paws because Alexx put us at ease from the first phone call. As first time dog owners, Alexx has been incredible at answering our questions and providing us guidance. Our puppy, Whinston, went through their board and train program and came back with great training, including how to sit calmly even when people come by, manners at the front door, and how to walk nicely with the leash. All the trainers that interacted with Whinston were all excellent. We loved the regular videos and articles from the training on the app. As a result of the program, we have been able to take Whinston to restaurants, on city walks, and to the park with other dogs and he has been well-behaved and manageable for us. And when our pup has misbehaved, Alexx has given us strategies to work through it (because puppies will be puppies). We also plan to use Omega Paws when we travel to help Whinston brush up on his training as he grows up. Omega Paws is an impressive training program all around and our family is grateful we found them.
Ahead is us sending Leo to Omega Paws, we only taught him the bare basics: sit and down. He was constantly nipping, running out the door for every walk, jumping at feeding time, and could not sleep in his crate by himself at all. After the three week training program, Leo came back more confident, knowledgeable, and more fun to be around. They taught Leo not only the important commands, but also how to walk next to dogs of all ages and sizes, as well as how to manage his emotions in the crate when the trainers or people in general are not around. They also sent us daily updates and lesson plans that allowed us as dog owners to grow, learn, and reinforce the commands Leo was being taught in order to make it a happy, fun, and safe experience for all moving forward. We truly appreciate Alexx and Louis! They are amazing and we highly recommend them for dogs of all ages. We look forward to working with Omega Paws again!
We looked at alot of board and train companies, but finally settled on Omega Paws because of the extensive phone calls my husband and I were able to have with Alexx. He was personable, knowledgeable, and kind. I have to admit, I was a bit worried when he took her away, but it helped that our dog, Nikita liked him instantly, something we don't see often. Although we had high hopes, I couldn't imagine our rambunctious 14 month old could be anything other than her nipping, high strung self. Boy were we wrong! When Nikita came home, she was a different dog. She still has her spaz moments but overall, she is more mellow. She used to use her mouth and teeth to communicate. Now she greets us without biting. She's more cuddly. She is actually listening to us more. She is still a work in progress, but I've fallen in love with her more now that we have Nikita 2.0!
Omega paws combines expert training with loving and specialized programs. It's hard to trauma dog on your own with the level of rigor required. But for their safety and happiness and your sanity , it's really important. Alexx communicates regularly and with a thoughtful eye to the dog and their lifestyle. Some trainers just plop down a few collars get the dog place and consider the job done. That's not the experience with Omega and the team. I

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and give a huge shout-out to Javier & Evelyn. They trained my two fur babies with incredible patience and professionalism. They are so kind they celebrated Kane's birthday! From day one, it was clear that they were dedicated not only to training my dogs but also to ensuring that I, as an owner, felt confident and informed throughout the process. They went above and beyond, providing thorough training and daily updates, which meant the world to me--especially on days when I missed my boys a little extra. After getting nowhere with another trainer and being on the brink of giving up, my Australian Shepherd Maverick entered the two week board and train training program with Omega Paws. Each evening, after spending the day working and training Maverick, Alexx would send me pictures and/or video updates, along with explanations of the things they were working on, and also what I needed to know to continue working with Maverick after he returned home. And each night I would watch the videos and cry happy tears. I couldn't believe that was my dog! Maverick responded so well with Alexx. And after two weeks, he was ready to come home. I couldn't believe it! And I was so afraid that I was going to mess something up and that my dog would never behave for me the way he had for Alexx. But I was wrong! From the day Maverick came home I could tell he was a different dog already. I paid close attention to the things that Alexx trained ME to know. And every day I continue to work with Maverick the way that we were taught. I was never fearful of the tools that Alexx employed while training Maverick. I knew that proper use of a prong collar would not hurt Maverick. And to the contrary, Maverick responded much better to that, than to having a slip lead noose around his neck. With a slip lead Maverick with pull himself so hard he could've done damage to his esophagus. But with the prong collar, he no longer pulled on his leash. I also was never afraid of using the E collar. From day one, Alexx showed me proper use of the E collar. And he even demonstrated it to me, having me hold it in my hand to feel the vibration. I know that the E collar does not harm Maverick in any way, it's simply a gentle reminder for him to make good decisions. And it works. Since Maverick came back home, I actually rarely need to even press the button to make the E collar vibrate. However, if Maverick needs a reminder, it is a tool that has proven to be extremely useful. Maverick no longer pulls when on leash. He walks next to me and heels very well. And when we encounter other dogs and he begins to bristle, as if he were going to react, all I have to do is remind him to heel. If I see that he is starting to forget, I hit the button for the E collar control. For Maverick I have it set at 15, which is pretty low, and usually one tap is all it takes to get him back on track! Sometimes all I have to do is touch the controller and he responds without me even pushing the button! It's like it's ingrained in him already. And it works! Maverick came home, such a better dog! And since then he and I have been able to bond in a way that we weren't able to in the months prior to him going to Omega Paws. Maverick now has a better understanding of what he needs to do, and he follows directions much better. He understands when I tell him to go to his place, and he stays there. He also understands when he is supposed to be in his crate, and he goes in without a fight. I love our walks because on leash he is amazing! And he has not reacted in the same manner towards another dog since returning from Omega Paws, so I no longer have that fear of being injured when he's on leash. He is much better mannered. And I have no doubt that within the year I will be able to get him certified to become a working Therapy Dog with me! And barely a year old he's still a puppy, and he's not perfect. But he is so much better than he was, and our relationship is so much better as well! And believe me when I say that my dog is much calmer, and he does not need a treadmill! He just needed to learn boundaries, and we needed to bond! That's something that we weren't able to do with the previous training. We had such a good experience with Omega Paws, that once Maverick had come home and we saw the difference in him, we decided to have Alexx and his team train our two small dogs as well. They are both Chihuahua mixes, and or were foster fails. One is 10 years old and the other is eight years old, so they are pretty set in their ways! But we wanted to give them basically the same foundation that Maverick had so that they all had the same understanding. And while they are not quite as good as Maverick, they are definitely much improved. They definitely understand boundaries much better, and they behave better on leash! I cannot say enough about Alexx and Luis, and all of Omega Paws. I was literally on the verge of giving up, and contemplating surrendering my dog because I knew that I could not go on the way that we were. And that's a terrible feeling to have when you love a dog! Omega Paws gave me back my dog, and also self-confidence. I am so grateful to them for all they've done for my family. And I can't wait to see what my future holds with Maverick by my side! omegapaws.org... is a "5 paw stars" rating for residential dog training "bar none!" alexx & louis - "d' dynamic duo" were the true engineers of bou's positive behavioral change. our 8-month-old & 65lb labrador had a stubborn streak & goofy demeanor. their mobile approach delivered a very solid foundation of patience, general obedience & discipline. my kids all looked forward to seeing his outrageous "pawtographs, - just like the cover of vanityfur. watching bou's aka "k-drama" mini episodes from his 1st day of school to going window shopping people @ citadel outlets, montclair mall, home depot, central park dog park & schabarum regional park was action packed & non-scripted. the most memorable short clip setting @ puente hills mall was getting him on an escalator. it was a "paw biting" thriller at its best - bou's "escalaphobia" moment." though he was heedful in spite of the comedic hiccups at the end of each "teleseria :-)" bou always made us roar with laughter. what a goofy lab! bou experienced & saw more places combined than the g. fam experienced while vacationing in tx. rest assured, bou was always guaranteed a secure & comfortable loving home to rest after a full days training in different social settings with his furry paw friends. he got round the clock excercise, mental stimulation & nutritional meals/treats (yumeee) kudos to the omega "paw avengers" a very dedicated support team - ya'll are "pawfessional" individuals who are "pawssionate" about the psychology of caring for our loving canines:-) ya'll fully immersed yourselves in coaching bou to stay focus. bou is motivated & his social skills has been refined. at home...nothings more impactful than having bou sit before a treat is given / meal is served. he will stay in place while mom is prepping his meal, phew! walking with dad & kids around the neighborhood has been placid - our tamed "t-rex" is unleashed! alexx, on behalf of the goostrey fam we are truly grateful for laying the groundwork for bou's puppy development. you provided my son & i an exceptional service in bou's e-collar training & gave us the confidence to reinforce the basic cues to do at home & at play as we master lure training 101 we feel your enthusiasm, wholeheartedness & purpose in dog training. we are inspired to engage in bou's daily activities at a whole other level. may our puppy "bou" journey inspire our personal stories for the dogs that you will train to infinity & beyond. hugs:-) bou & goostrey fam '24 read more
