Juan and team are the best! Just got Chubbs back and he's a completely new dog, I couldn't be happier!

What a great experience all around. After reviewing some options and other school choices, we decided to go with The Doggo based on overall feel. We were blown away by what a great decision it was. Value, communication and results were beyond all expectations. 10/10 would recommend training and any service this organization offers.

I took my fur baby to Doggo and it was hard leaving her for five weeks. But the results are incredible and I still can't believe this is my dog. Juan and his staff are amazing at what they do. she made friends with Archie rookie and Willow. I love having her back and love taking her on walks. I recommend this place hands down.

I waited a while to write this review because I genuinely hoped Juan would make things right--but unfortunately, he has not. I'm now left with an untrained dog, serious behavioral setbacks, and I am emotionally and financially exhausted. If you don't read the whole review, here's my advice: Get all expectations in writing before you drop off your dog. When you pick them up, do a full head-to-toe health check. Especially the neck! If Juan is as reputable as he claims, he should have no issue documenting what he says he'll deliver. Why I Hired Doggo I initially contacted Juan to train a new foster dog I had for six weeks, named Charlie. I told him upfront that Charlie had crate anxiety, leash reactivity to other dogs, and poor obedience in public. Juan told me these issues couldn't be handled in the 3-week program, so I paid for the 5-week board-and-train. Charlie already knew basic obedience--sit, down, heel--but couldn't do it under distraction. In the first week, Juan worked on things Charlie never struggled with, like potty training and jumping. By week two, I noticed he wasn't training Charlie in public, even though that was part of the deal. When I raised this, he called me and said, "Trust the process," claiming that public training comes after private progress. Throughout the five weeks, Juan sent nothing but positive updates: "Charlie is doing amazing." "He's very dog friendly." "He's excelling." But when I picked Charlie up, the tone changed. Juan said Charlie was "stubborn and hard" and admitted "he bit me." This was never communicated before. Once home, I saw little to no improvement. When I reached out again, Juan said I wouldn't see results for two more weeks--that's why he doesn't check in right away. But Charlie's behavior was out of control. I told Juan I was considering leaving a review, and instead of addressing my concerns, he offered to pick Charlie back up for three more weeks of "advanced" training. I agreed, hoping he would finally follow through on what he promised. What Happened Next Three weeks later, Juan returned Charlie to me at a Home Depot. During the go-home session, every time I used the e-collar, Charlie yelped loudly. Juan said: "He fakes it to get out of training. Keep using it." I followed his instructions. But after a few days of consistent yelping, I checked and found two wounds on Charlie's neck--one of them actively infected. The vet later confirmed these were caused by prolonged or improper use of the e-collar. I stopped contacting Juan until I had confirmation from the vet. Then, I asked him for a partial refund--not even the full $4,000 I paid. I asked for $1,400 (for the "advanced" training) and $300 (for the vet bill). He never responded again. I had to go through a third party to get a single response--he defended the training results but offered no accountability for the injury or lack of transparency (I added his response and my counter response). Where We Are Now Charlie has now: Bit four people since the training--something he had never done before. Seen multiple professional trainers and behaviorists who agree he's a difficult case because of anxiety and fear, not stubbornness. Been in weekly day training, private sessions, and obedience classes--all of which I pay out-of-pocket. I don't blame Juan for Charlie's anxiety, but I do hold him responsible for: Injuring my dog and dismissing it. Hiding behavioral red flags during training. Ghosting me after I asked for accountability. Selling me basic obedience while claiming to handle behavioral cases. I asked Juan for an in-person consultation before starting the program, and he refused--telling me he'd trained dogs for years and knew exactly what Charlie needed. I trusted that. I shouldn't have. Final Thoughts If you have a fearful or anxious dog--work with a certified behaviorist, not a board-and-train obedience program. I learned that the hard way. I'm not out for revenge, but I don't want others to waste their money or risk their dog being harmed like I did. Feel free to contact me directly (Email Tabletop03 at gmail)--I will share every email, vet bill, and message I have. I wish I had known better, and I hope this saves someone else from the pain I've gone through.

The Doggo is the place to go to have your pet trained. It is hard for me to trust people with anything, but I trust Juan and his team. Our puppy was hyper and barked at people she didn't know. Our now 6 month old puppy is well behaved for a puppy. Don't get me wrong we as dog parents still have a long way to go. But Juan and his team gave us the comfort that we needed once we picked up our puppy and took her home. We are able to get things done around the home, go out in public to a park, and go out to restaurants or cafes. Any time we have had a question or concern Juan was there to give us the best advice and the reassurance we needed. If we had to do it all over again, I would come back to The Doggo in a heart beat.

I could not write a better review for Juan, he's an amazing person who truly cares for his people and is extremely quick to respond to any needs. We enrolled Kai in the 5 week board and train and we couldn't be happier with the results. He was pulling extremely hard during his walks prior and would constantly sniff everything. After the training with Juan and his team, I could not believe that there is absolutely NO tension on the leash when walking our boy during our walks. The go home session also taught us to be a better role model and dog parents for Kai which is extremely important when continuing the progression with his obedience! Once again, an amazing experience and would 100% recommend it to anyone who would want to take the journey towards being a more confident dog parent!

We took our 6 month old very high energy heeler possibly malinois mix to doggo and I have to say I am very happy with how she turned out. We are able to manage her much better on walks which was practically impossible beforehand. The communication with the trainers was amazing and they were super responsive. I will definitely continue to use them to reinforce training and even boarding and daycare!

Juan and his staff turned my Belgian Malinois from a beast to a trained family pet...He's super intelligent but I was struggling with his training until I turned him over to them...Two months later...my dog Zeus is an amazing obedient dog...he's super chill and follows my commands on queue...I am very pleased with the training and highly recommend them...Just check out their stories on IG...I'm a happy customer.

Omg so amazed by what Juan has turned my dog into, we did the 8 week program and we just got her back he trained us too. Before she wouldn't listen, she would lunged at other dogs, growl at them and try to attack them. And now she's calm walks with us doesn't attack other animals. We took her to my mother in laws house which she has Kat's and kittens and she didn't even look at them and kept focus on me. They gave us weekly updates, I high key recommend this place.

    Graduation day!

Found Juan and the Doggo through yelp only to find out I had played softball with him way back! Real stand up guy who knows what he is doing. I waited a couple weeks to write this review and I will say that our GSD mix Penelope has completely changed for the better. She is a rescue from a shelter and my wife and I had no clue what to expect. We soon found out she was reactive to everything and didn't listen to a word we said. Granted we only had her for a few weeks but we knew we had to do something about it quick or else she would be set in her ways. We had her with the Doggo for the 8 week program and upon return she was a totally different dog! She actually had obedience. She actually listened. She was actually manageable. We can now take her in public without her absolutely freaking out, have her in place command and just relax when needed, have her sleep in her crate with no problems, stays at doors without bolting through them. Even tested the waters with some off leash obedience at the park and she is doing things I only dreamed of doing with her. And her continuous training will only make her better. That is one thing to be sure of is to continue the training! Set those boundaries as soon as you get your fur baby back home. Would highly recommend Juan and his team. Thank you all for everything!

As he settled in my home, he became increasingly aggressive towards other people -- friends, family, and strangers alike, whether in the home or outside of the home. Sully was even aggressive towards my husband, and it felt like I was at a loss. I needed to do something before he actually ended up hurting someone. After explaining what was happening with Sully with the organization I was fostering from, they said they would need to put him down for the safety of the community. I couldn't let that happen, so I decided to keep him and find professional help. This is where John came in. After doing research online, I came across his Yelp page, where there were raving reviews of him helping aggressive dogs, so I took a chance. On his first day meeting John, Sully growled, hissed, and lunged at John. Sully tried to bite both him and me. John spent about an hour with me explaining what was going to happen and some training basics, and honestly, it was hard for me to focus because I was so nervous of Sully hurting someone in the moment. John was very patient, and showed me 5x how to hold a leash properly because I just couldn't focus from nervousness. I've never seen Sully so aggressive, and John explained it's because it was the first time someone was checking him and keeping him in his place. Sully stayed with John for a little over two weeks, and in that time, they went on ADVENTURES. I mentioned to John that Sully was afraid of water, aggressive with strangers, and other very specific things, and John made sure to tackle all of them. He sent me pictures and videos of his adventures throughout their time together. They went on a ferry, hiked to a waterfall, and so so much more. When there was a concern or something to celebrate, John was sure to communicate with us what was going on. In addition, due to personal circumstances, we needed to have Sully stay with John a few more days, and John was so understanding and accommodated us. I finally have my sweet boy back, and I see so much of a difference. He is calmer, more responsive, and he's running through my sprinklers now. LOL. It still takes him a bit to warm up to other people, but he's not as on guard or on edge as he was before. I'm excited to continue his progress at home, and I'm sure we will see John and Sara for future stays! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of his adventures with John and Sara. :)
