David was very thorough in his training with my American bully/husky mix, Nana and I. I used to have an annoying dog that pulled and acted very hyper when out in public, she would lunge at other dogs and match other dogs hyper energy when out in public and David helped me navigate her behavior and creating a well behaved, confident dog. I can now comfortably take Nana out without worrying about her wandering off too far, or not coming back when called

David is a great K9 trainer: professional, very experienced, and shows me how to improve with my dog. I called David because my 6 month dog and I needed more direction as this dog is different from my last dog. I met a guy with his young aggressive German Shepherd in a park as he was practicing commands with his dog. He said his dog had aggressive tendencies and after 2 weeks with South Bay K9 David, his dog has reversed through the training program. That was proof for me to sign up! We are on the 8 week training program, on/off leash, etc., and to refine the obience & behavioral training, recall and specific in-home training. After a 1 hour private class with David, my dog is controlled on walks with the techniques he used. We changed my commands and it was very easy to get the perfect results! His beautiful and perfectly trained K9 dog Star is there as well and can demonstrate commands. I highly recommend South Bay K9 for you and your K9. Give David a call at South Bay K9 today. You get results!

5 STARS FOR OUR AMAZING TRAINER JOSH…read more 1 STAR FOR CORPORATE LEAVING US WITH ABRUPT ANNOUNCEMENT OF CANCELLED TRAINING SESSIONS. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Josh as Daisy's trainer, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Josh was not just a dog trainer to us--he became someone we trusted, someone who understood our family, and someone who genuinely cared about Daisy and her success. From our very first session, Josh took the time to truly understand Daisy. He learned her personality, her behaviors, her challenges, and our family's concerns. He never judged us or made us feel like Daisy was a "bad dog." Instead, he was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He made us feel like we were finally on the right path. Having Josh come to our home made such a huge difference. He was able to work with Daisy in the environment where she actually lives and help us learn how to handle situations as a family. He didn't just train Daisy he trained and educated us as her family too. He always listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and made sure we understood what we could do at home to continue helping her. After only FOUR sessions with Josh, we saw an incredible difference in Daisy. She learned so much in such a short amount of time. Most importantly, she was finally able to coexist with our 3-year-old child and 7-year-old child in a way that we had struggled to achieve before. Now our children love Daisy, they play with her, and we are able to see them building a bond with her. Watching that transformation has meant so much to our family. Josh cared about Daisy like she was more than just another dog he was assigned to train. He genuinely celebrated her progress, understood when she was struggling, and always treated her with patience and kindness. You could tell that he truly cared about both Daisy and our family. We felt comfortable with him, we trusted him, and Daisy trusted him--and that trust is incredibly important when working with a rescue dog. Unfortunately, after our fourth session, we were informed that the company had decided to cut their Dog training program and that Josh would no longer be able to continue training Daisy. We were honestly extremely upset and disappointed. I feel that the company should have allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions of Daisy's training with Josh. We had finally found someone who was willing to understand Daisy, work with her, and help our family. It took a lot for us to get to this point, and stopping her training halfway through felt incredibly discouraging, leaving us out of the dark and what we were going to do next. By that point, we had built a relationship with Josh, and Daisy had built a relationship with him as well. Starting over with someone new after finally finding someone we trusted was very difficult for us. We wish the company had taken that relationship and Daisy's specific circumstances into consideration before making the decision to stop her training with Josh. The most frustrating part is that we were finally seeing the results we had been hoping and working so hard for. Daisy was learning. Our children were becoming comfortable with her. Our family was learning how to better communicate with and understand her. And Josh had become an important part of that progress. Although Daisy's training with Josh has unfortunately stopped, we are incredibly grateful for everything he accomplished with her in just four sessions. He gave Daisy a chance to succeed, and he gave our family confidence that we could help her become the happy, well-adjusted dog we knew she could be. Josh is truly an amazing trainer and an incredible person. His patience, compassion, knowledge, and genuine care for the animals and families he works with are very special. We just wish Doggieland had allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions with Josh. After everything our family and Daisy had been through, we finally found someone who understood her and helped her thrive. Four sessions made such a tremendous difference in our family's life, and we can only imagine how much more progress Daisy could have made if she had been able to finish the full program with Josh. Thank you, Josh, for everything you have done for Daisy and for our family. We will always be grateful that you were the person who helped us see just how much potential our Daisy had.

I got belly rubs on demand, endless attention, playtime with new friends, and enough treats to make me question whether I should permanently relocate. Every time I walked in, the humans here knew my name and acted excited to see me -- which, as you can imagine, is exactly the level of celebrity treatment I deserve. The place was super clean, safe, and smelled surprisingly good for a building full of dogs making questionable life choices. My parents also loved getting updates and photos of me living my best life while they were away pretending to miss me. (Jasmine, Christina, Ericy, Iliana takes the best selfies of me!) By the time I got home, I was completely exhausted from all the fun, zoomies, and pampering from the staff. 10 out of 10 I would definitely board again and cannot wait until my next visit! Sincerely, Zorro

This early year they accidentally cut my dog's nail too short and caused my dog bleeding. Here are what I am very unsatisfied about. 1. They didn't notice me that my dog is injured from her toe nail when we picked her up. I found out her nail was bleeding by seeing blood on the floor in my house after my dog got home from the Pink Pucci. 2. I called to tell them about this. Asking if the groomer trim or cut her nail. They didn't give me a yes or no answer. Only said maybe. 3. I asked what can they do with this situation. They didn't know what to do and didn't offer any refund. So I asked if we can get refund and if there is a vet bill can they pay for it, then the guy in the phone said okay. So they did issue a refund of the grooming fee. During this phone call process I was being very polite. I said if you injured my dog then it's common sense you have to do something to compensate me. We love going to your place and will continue go. 4. Because I believe it was just an accident and since my dog has been used to go there, I called them again for another grooming appointment. But the front desk lady kept on telling me there is no availability for my dog to go and would call me back later after she check for availability, but they never called me back. I called them many times during their business hours and even left a voice message, still, no one call me back. From this experience I realized these are their problems 1. No any policy of any kind of injury happened during their service for customers. They seem do not have any insurance cover any in store injury compensation. 2. Lack of professional customer training. The front desk people does not know how to deal or talk to customers when any injuries happened of the dogs in their care. 3. The grooming process is not transparent. As the customer we do not know who is actually grooming our dogs. The grooming progress is all behind the glass of back side of the store where we see nothing of what they do.

We also needed something close to home but more importantly a place that was safe for our dog that he would enjoy. Let me tell you this is the place. When we first visited Waterland other owners were dropping off their dogs and we could see the dogs wagging there tails from excitement and no lagging to go in the back with staff. This was a good sign! We boarded our Kano for 18 days and upon our return pleasantly surprised to see his mood was still joyful. What Waterland did right: they sent pictures and videos daily. We could call and ask questions about him which we did. They allowed us to bring all his food, snacks, bed, favorite toys and blanket. They provided him with activities such as swimming with Nephi and agility training. Even though Kano isn't the most experienced swimmer, it's clear from the videos we receive, Nephi and the other staff encourage him! It appears Kano even had some training. He no longer jumps on people and is much more relaxed. We waited everyday for Kano's report card, videos and pictures and were very excited every time they arrived. The team at Waterland is amazing. You have to love dogs to work there! Kano is an only dog and he loves going to playcare and the staff. He also loves the activities and the team continuously cheers him on. Please see videos and pictures of our Kano having the time of his life at Waterland.

Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.

The first time I brought my cat here a few years ago, it was during the time of the pandemic, and what you had to do was let them know that you had arrived and were outside, then they would come out and get your furry friend, they would take them inside, take care of them for the amount of time that you had booked. For me, that was one week. Then, when you picked them up, you would let them know you were there, and about a half hour later they would bring them outside. Overall, that experience went pretty well. My most recent experience with their boarding facility was not bad per se, but it was a bit annoying. The pandemic crisis is long over, and so everything is person-to-person. I had booked a facilities for my two cats, just for the day, because we were having some work done on our home, and we didn't want our cats to be disturbed. I drove up, dropped them off, they took them to the interior facilities, and all was well. In the late afternoon, I went to pick them up. The first thing that happened was, is that their tech, or whatever position he held, brought both of my cats back in one pet carrier. Now, my two cats like each other, but not that much to be stuffed inside one carrier. I mean, the small carriers for cats are not that big. But apparently this young employee had no clue about what's going on, so he stuffed them both in there so tightly that they could barely even move. They were obviously very upset. I informed him that I had brought them in two separate carriers. He seemed a bit annoyed and flustered with me. Annoyed and flustered for his mistake. He took them to the back room. About twenty minutes later, re-emerged with my two cats in our separate carriers. I brought the cats home, and when I arrived and let them out of the carriers, I realize that this young employee had taken the padding out of the bottom the carriers, leaving my cats just gripping onto whatever those carriers are made out of. None of the thick furry padding was in place. What he did with that padding, I have no idea? But, it was certainly in there when I brought them into the facility, it should've been there when I brought it home. I thought about calling up the place, but they had already closed by this point. And, by the morning, I imagine that they wouldn't even know where to look, where this employee had put those pieces of furry padding. So I let it go. I really hate to write negative reviews about businesses, but when they do things like this, I think that they really need to be called out. And for you people reading this, I think you need to keep in mind that their staff members do things like this. Those were very expensive carriers. Now, I just have to donate them. Thus, that employee cost me about the same price to buy new cat carriers as I paid for their entire stay for the day at this facility. Just something to think about. Be sure to check to make sure all the elements of your pet carriers are intact when you bring your furry friend home.
