At the last minute I had to find a pet sitter and found Fancy Tails thru social media. After talking with Tracy I realized she is a true pet lover:) because my Bruno is a Service Dog I knew she would take good care of him, and he'd be safe and happy. After I spoke with Tracy I told my friend that I was going to the event with and he said "I know Tracy, she is highly recommended and has a stellar reputation with taking care of our furry friends. While I was at my event she sent lots of pictures while he was on his walk and hanging happy with his new puppy friends, it gave me peace of mind. She even offered to pet taxi him back to me when I returned home. 5 stars to Tracy & Fancy Tails read more

Tracy watched Princess Buttercup while I was having surgery. As the name says, she is a Princess and requires such treatment. My dog is super picky who she chooses to like and be nice to, and Tracy took her in with open arms to help me out during my time of need. She's local which I love and had so many great reviews online. This is also her only and full time job which was also very important to me when searching for the right pet sitter. I used a Vet Tech once, but I preferred Tracy over the VT because she has all the time in the world to spend cuddling with Buttercup (and she has vet tech skills)! I will be using her again. Grateful to have found Fancy Tails. read more

Tracy watched our pets while we were in Europe for a month, and she was fantastic! She sent lots of updates (which I really appreciated) and even took care of our plants. They looked better when we got home than when we left. When we returned, she had all the mail and packages neatly organized on the counter, and she even moved the cars for street sweeping and brought in the outdoor cushions when it rained. We're so happy we found her and will definitely ask her to pet sit again for our next trip. read more

I called Fancy Tails and Tracy was beyond helpful, informative, and offered to even loan me a crate for my cat and moving. I will definetly be sharing her info with others. Tracy is the only one who took the time to work with my nervous reactive GG (60 lbs rescue) and has had great success in training her and walking her regularly without incident. My dog is now 10. Tracy has been taking care of him since he was 6 months old. Walking and boarding. I now live in Long Beach and drive 20 miles to leave him with Tracy. I often go places where she cannot contact me for periods of time. My little guy is my world and I feel safe when I am out of range knowing he is with Tracy. I was leaving the country one time and my dog had a sick tummy and Tracy still took him for me. He had some sick time and she was so gracious about it. There is a reason she has so many 5 star reviews. Tracy is a fantastic communicator and always puts the dog first. For me she is worth the drive. Tracy has kept my rescue mini Schnauzer on three different occasions this past year. The 1st time we were on an international cruise and my dog stayed with Tracy at her house. My dog is a rescue with special needs and generalized anxiety. Tracy took her to my house everyday to play and hangout to help with the anxiety. When we came home, Delilah was calm and happy. The 2nd time was last minute over Spring break and Tracy made every effort to accommodate Delilah. Again she came home a happy dog! We recently had Tracy stay in our home while we were overseas for two weeks. Since Delilah is older and has special needs, I was nervous and sad to leave her for that long. Tracy put me at ease and sent me updates and pictures everyday so I could see my fur baby was eating, relaxed at home and meeting new furry friends on her walks. Our house was immaculate when we returned home with all mail/packages inside stacked neatly! She' highly organized and good communicator. I'm so grateful we found her to help while traveling. There were times before I met Tracy that I wouldn't travel because I didn't feel comfortable leaving Delilah....not the case anymore! read more

Peace of mind and a happy dog ! Thank you Fancy Tails !! We were nervous about leaving Cookie with a stranger when we needed to go out of town. Well we are not nervous any longer. Tracy, the owner of Fancy Tails, put an end to that. She took our Cookie into her home and made her feel a part of the family. She sent photos and videos daily and was quick to respond to any questions we had about Cookie. We were apprehensive about her getting along with Tracy's little Chihuahua. Again, no problem. All in all it was a great experience and we are so happy that we found Tracy and Fancy Tails. We won't be using anyone else !! read more

Tracy walks my dog Milo here and there as needed. Milo is a large breed dog so it takes someone who knows what they are doing to handle him as he pulls sometimes. I met her while out on a walk with my dog and she stopped us to give me pointers on loose leash walking and explained she's a dog trainer as well as a dog walker. My dog immediately liked her. *Tracy's response tells you everything you need to know about her and her business. She contacted us for weeks to remove this review. We own a dog, not a dog business.* Original post: We cannot recommend Fancy Tails. We found Tracy on Yelp and decided to hire her to take our 25 lbs Cocker Spaniel Poodle mix overnight over the Thanksgiving holiday. We nearly cut our trip short due to the experience. Tracy came by our home to meet our dog. Seemed to go well enough that she took on the job. Our dog is not perfect, he can be temperamental with strangers and we shared that with her. He is the joy of our family and especially our kids. She joked that the two other female dogs she was boarding would put him in his place. She asked us for a key to our home and that she would pick up/dropoff and also bring him home once in awhile. I did think it was strange that we did not see where she would be boarding him overnight. Just told us she's in Redondo. Day of our trip, my husband called her from the road to let her know he had left as was instructed by her. She told him do not call, only text unless it's an emergency. When she arrived, she sent us video of our dog barking at her. Without us in the home, he clearly was upset and being protective. She said she couldn't take him while he's being aggressive. Of course we understood. She fed him, then left. This went on for a few days. Our dog eventually warmed up enough to her where she created an Instagram reel of him at our home (we had not given her permission to do so). I finally asked her what her plans were, if it would be possible to take him on a walk. At this point, he had not gone out for a walk in 3 days. We walk and run him twice/day. He was being left alone other than her brief visits twice/day. She told me 'it would be too dangerous' and that she can't be liable if he runs loose. He runs with me daily and she's a 'professional' dog trainer and walker. Dog trainers we've worked with are able to get his attention and obedience immediately. At this point, my husband said he would leave the day before Thanksgiving to get him. We put the word out to our wonderful neighbors and one of them took him in. They facetimed us as they went into our house, our dog was ecstatic. I will say Tracy did refund us for the balance since we paid upfront. But also made sure to give us one last jab by telling us that 'she did us a favor' by taking the job. Clearly this was not a fit. read more

We couldn't be happier with Fancy Tails/Tracy's service. After moving from downtown, we were in desperate need of a trustworthy and friendly service for my little girl. Tracy checked all of the boxes and has been amazing from day one. Although we did not end up using Tracy's services as we decided to bring our recently adopted dog back to the shelter, she called to check in on us after hearing the news. Tracy is so great. Our cats can be... uh... challenging. And they do not like it when we go away. But Tracy always makes sure they're as comfortable as possible. Too fancy for working dogs; promises follow up but doesn't. Sadly over all not impressed.

Tracy was a true god send today. I was traveling out of the country and needed someone to take my cat to the vet and board her for the day. Tracy quickly jumped to the task in just an hours notice, picked up my cat from my house, sent videos and photos every step of the way to show me my kitty was safe 'n sound, at the vet for her appointment on time, comforted kitty through her exam & shots, even showed me my apartment door was locked on her way out. I actually shed a tear I was so happy for her help and so relieved knowing my cat baby was in good hands. - quick response (text communication - even better!) - fair rates - easy payment method - sends photos/videos - requires little instruction but asked all of the right questions (even filled out the vet forms on my behalf!) Thanks again, Fancy Tails! Pan the Bengal cat has a new godparent! I'll definitely use your services again for house calls, but hopefully with advance notice next time! read more

Tracy was a great help caring for my dogs while I was gone. I appreciate how reliable she is and how accountable she is. So happy we found Tracy from Fancy Tails. She was recommended from someone walking his dog in the neighborhood that we met walking our new puppy. I checked her reviews and we gave her a try on a weekend trip and a few long day trips. She is detailed and thorough on instructions. Our puppy and 2 cats were well taken care of. We just used Fancy Tails for 10 days while we went to Hawaii. We were nervous to leave our puppy that long but we're quickly put at ease. We got great communication and pictures of our pets. It was so nice to see what they were doing and how happy they were. She took great care of our house too! Would highly recommend the services of Fancy Tails! read more

I'm so happy I found Tracy. Like most of you, I consider my animals family. Tracy treats both my cats and dog as well as I do. Here are the plusses: - Prompt responses to requests - Great availability, including holidays - Professional care: You will receive text updates when she's on the way to your home, updates each time your pet is fed, goes out, etc., and general welfare information - Photo updates: You will receive photos and videos of your animals at each check in - Group walks: For dog walks, your pooch may join a group of other pups for a play date. My guy is usually very happy for the company! I almost don't want to share this review as I'd like to keep Fancy Tails for myself. I wanted to include both emails (apart from spoken phone conversations that I cannot verifiably prove where she verbally assured me she would show up) where she reiterated TWICE separately that she would meet me in the evening at 7 pm, NOT 10 am the following day as she continuously claims. I would also like to note that I had to be alerted to her (yet again, unprofessional and insulting) response to my review. I ascertain that this means she has blocked me. I will make it clear that the plethora of "5 star reviews sadly do not coincide with my own experience with her company & I will be sure to express my experience with her on Yelp" - this is what I told her verbatim. read more

I travel a lot for work and frequently need somebody to care for my cat, Fluff, while I'm away. I found Tracy online when I moved to the South Bay area a few months ago, and I'm so glad I did! Tracy is fantastic!!!! She was referred to me by a friend that spotted her Fancy Tails car at Trader Joes in Redondo. He used her multiple times and had nothing but great things to say. After coming by to meet Niko and myself, she took care of my geriatric cat (18 years old) while I was away in Florida for 5 days. Litter, feeding, grooming, loving, etc. Lots of photos were sent via text message every day she was at my house. That way, you know she was REALLY there. Tracy also brought my mail and packages in the house for me. I will definitely call her again when I go out of town. Thanks Tracy!!! read more

Tracy is awesome! She has been taking care of our two cats, Puffer and Penny Lane since they were tiny little kittens. So far that has been about two years. Time flies :) Tracy is super reliable. We've used her services about a dozen times and EVERY TIME she is there - Tracy provides our cats with food, takes care of the litter box, plays with our little fur babies, gives love and cuddles, brings in our mail, waters the plants, takes out the trash, moves the trash bins, and says hi to the neighbors. The added benefit is that our house looks "lived in" while we're gone. She is attentive and trustworthy and our cats love her. The daily email, text, and photo updates are my favorite part. I look forward to getting pictures of my little lovies while I'm away from home. I know Puffer and Penny Lane are in good hands. read more

Tracy is awesome! We have an 11 year old Yorkie who is very sweet, but also very picky. When we go on holiday, we historically have left him at a larger group boarding camp, but this time we went with a boutique experience. So happy we did. Boomer received lots of personal attention and care. Lots of walks, play dates, treats and other special perks. So I've heard about Fancy Tails for some time from various clients of mine and all raving good reviews. I've never had a need to use her services until my parents had an emergency. They called me in a panic because they needed to have the dogs taken care of for a day and I called Tracy of Fancy Tails. Last minute. Like late the evening before last minute. She was so gracious and sent me photos of them playing throughout the day and even brought them back washed and pretty and so happy. The big kicker here is that my parents were impressed. We started using Tracy with Fancy Tails right after moving to California a year ago and luckily found Tracy as a referral from our neighbor. We have two small dogs and she spends the night with them when we're out of town for long trips or comes by for visits (meals and walks) for day trips. Our house is always spotless when we return home, which we appreciate. Pups always seem happy and our plants are perky too. She brings in mail and packages and neatly stacks for us. She also sends lots of photo updates to keep us in the loop which gives us a lot of peace of mind when traveling, especially since most of our travel is abroad, it helps us feel close to home even though far away. One of our dogs is older now and Tracy noticed his arthritis during one of her overnight stays, and she recommended pet steps, medication and supplements to help with joint movement and mobility. Grateful to have her in our community. She is really a dog whisperer and such an animal lover and it absolutely shines through. We would would not only recommend her to anyone, we do not even book a trip without checking her schedule first, like before we check airlines, honestly she is that good! Thank you Tracy of Fancy Tails for treating our dogs like your very own! read more

Fancy Tails is an exceptional company, and I trust my precious kitties with their services. Simba and Toulouse are pretty easy kitties, but they are quite attached to their momma. Tracy (sp?) treats them like they are her own, and I couldn't ask for anything more. She actually gets to know the pets and develops relationships with them. That's something I really appreciate in a sitter. I really like that Fancy Tails sends pictures of their visits: pictures of the pets, pictures of the services they provide (cleaning litter, feeding them, etc.). This is a really important piece of service, because it shows full transparency. It also helps those who really miss their pets while away. I love getting my daily texts and pictures of my kitties! She also brings in your mail and lets you know if anything is going on at the house. One time, someone was parked in my garage, and she sent a picture of the car. It was a friend, but that kind of information is helpful! Seeing someone else love and appreciate your pet's personality is intoxicating, really. Fancy Tails does just that, texting updates and mentioning all the cute little things your pet does. They are very, very attentive. She also posts on social media using your pet's pictures. Who doesn't want a famous pet?! Fancy Tails is doing it right. You will not make a mistake hiring them for their services. read more
