I can't recommend K9 Logic Dog Training enough to people. My partner and I came to them to address separation anxiety in our 1.5 year old French Bulldog. We had tried what felt like everything and his separation anxiety was so bad that it got to the point that my partner and I basically gave up our social lives, had to coordinate with one another one of us would be going to the market or if it would be a trip where we both can go but someone sits in the car with our dog. We met the team at K9 Logic Dog Training and they assessed our dog and determined what kind of training program would be best for him to address his separation anxiety and the other skills we wanted to work on. Within a week we noticed progress. We finally were able to leave the house for an hour and go to the market together. Week by week the time has gradually gotten longer where we have been able to leave him alone for longer periods of time to reclaim our social life back. But when Toby had reached around 4 years old I was convinced he was "too old " to be trained and that I would have to live with his on leash aggression forever. ABUSIVE!!!! BEWARE!!! It has been over a year and a half since I took my dog here for the 3week board and train program. I cannot stress enough just how TRAUMATIC this experience was for our family. Upon picking my dog up she was absolutely SKELETAL, scared, insecure, aggressive and almost unrecognizable. The shock collar approach was extreme and definitely what I would call ABUSIVE. When we picked her up we were told not to call to her or make any welcoming noises. We stayed quiet. We watched in disbelief as the trainer shocked her repeatedly with increasing intensity as she yelped and yelped. He did not let up until she went to the bed. It took FOREVER with so many shocks. I was with my minor children as well who still talk about it often. She had learned absolutely NOTHING that was transferrable. They knew I was in a crisis situation myself with very little financial resources and I honestly feel like they took advantage of me. It was $5,000 !!! I have been rehabbing my dog ever since. I should have sued them honestly but just didn't have the bandwidth. I felt a huge responsibility to inform any dog owner NOT to use this company. They should know if the training is appropriate for each dog. It was NOT appropriate for my dog. They just want your money. LOL I've taken Harley, my 42lb block of muscle who's super sweet and full of energy, to other trainers in the past with some progress but after putting Harley in a 3 wk board and train to work on basic obedience and resource guarding with Chris and the K9 Logic crew, I've noticed a completely different pup. She's way better with recall and other commands but still needs some work on her resource guarding. During the evaluation, Chris demonstrated "yes" & "good" commands which she picked up quite quickly. After seeing how responsive she was I knew this was the right fit. I got weekly updates and videos showing her progress, and notes on how the crew loved her. When I picked her up, they set me up with a prong & e-collar and trained me on how to use the tools for a good 1.5hr. In the follow-up a week later, we went over how the week went. Chris really does take the time to answer all the questions. It's been a few months now and it's been pretty great being able to walk her off-leash on our hikes. Just adopted a 1yr old puppy from a shelter who was anxious and started to show signs of separation anxiety. Chris is the absolute best at what he does, and I'll be forever grateful for what he's done for my Pepper. It's been 2 weeks since we picked up Pepper after a 2-week board and train with K9 Logic & the skills/obedience are sticking! Before Chris got his hands on Pepper she would jump up when anyone came in and grab food from people... we had to crate her when we had company because she lacked manners. We hadn't been able to cut Pepper's nails or groom her, nor any professional- she'd need several anxiety meds just to calm her down because she would freak out and growl. With the help of muzzle training and patience, Chris was able to cut her nails, bathe her, brush her out, and now we can too which is a huge relief! My kids can sing and dance and play while Pepper sits nicely in her designated "place," which before K9 Logic, she would get excited and want to join in which in turn knocked my small kids down. Also noteworthy is that we used to have to gate off my kid's play area because Pepper would chew up toys- I'm thrilled to report that the gate still has not needed to come back up because Pepper understands boundaries! We've had guests over since Pepper came back, and to my surprise she sits in place until she's given the command that she can break for pets/love- and the best part- she doesn't jump on people! She walks amazingly on leash, listens to commands, and is calm tempered when we see other dogs... all important things to me considering that Pepper is an XL mutt (Great Pyrenees, Great Dane, Rottweiler, Mastiff mix). My sweet puppy is now my sweet, well mannered puppy. When I asked for updates, they were very prompt with responsiveness and sent me a link to a few long videos showing Pepper and talking about her progress and what they were working on. My fiancé and I can't recommend K9 enough! We have a Blue Heeler puppy (Indigo) - and if you know anything about cattle dogs, they are HIGHLY energetic and require consistent physical and mental stimulation. We tried the DIY version of training from YouTube but it only covered the basics. Indigo still was quite vocal and expressive, would pull on the leash during walks, jump to greet us and counter surf when we ate on the table. Our goal was to manage all of that and also work our way to off-leash with him. We researched local training facilities, found K9 Logic and were instantly sold on the Private Training packages. We submitted the contact form and within a week we were scheduled a 1hr consultation with Chris. In that meeting alone, he already taught us valuable tools and techniques to improve our communication. We had been using a Stim Collar with Indigo, but he showed us the proper and most beneficial ways to utilize it. After this meeting, we decided to go with the 8-week private course (1hr/week). In our first session Indigo came home a brand new pup! He learned loose leash walking in an hour - ONE HOUR! Our minds were blown and as new puppy parents, we were so incredibly grateful. In just 8-weeks, Indigo's mastered leash manners and we've gained confidence in off-leash, he remains calm when greeting us and meeting new humans/dogs, he stays in "place" for long periods with distractions, his recall and our communication significantly improved, and more. We even did a pack hike at the end and Indigo did amazing - something we wouldn't have felt as comfortable with prior. We've taken him to public places and he is able to stay calm and attentive to us. What I appreciated most is Chris was flexible with Indigo's needs throughout the training. There were sessions where we had pre-planned to train a specific area, but he would notice Indigo needed more work with something else, so we'd pivot to work on that instead. He genuinely cares about the relationship between you and your dog. He educates you on the why and knowledge of his training which I believe is important to better help owners understand. Because of this, we're able to apply the techniques we learned to maintain and train in other areas beyond the 8-week session. We spontaneously adopted a 5 year old husky (Haku)from the shelter and soon discovered a couple of problems. He was aggressive towards our two cats and barked at any dogs he saw. This is gonna be a long one... Brought my dog here in the past when he was a puppy for an obedience board and train, but we were told that he's 2 weeks too old for the puppy program. So we were forced to do the full board and train program. Chris was very informative during the orientation and introduction appointment and showed us that he was able to do what we wanted in training our dog. We wanted to teach our dog off leash recall and healing. We decided to go with the 5 week board and train program after he said that he'll work on recall and heeling on walks. He had also promised us to send weekly update videos and keep us informed on how he's doing. We thought nothing of it as it was our first time doing something like this. We asked for an update video a few days in whether it was a 10 sec video or even a 30 sec one, but we're told that the trainers are busy and can't do anything like that. What do you mean? You record videos for your social media all the time. Just record a clip and send it to us as worried and curious owners. After harassing the front desk (who by the way was extremely rude) for updates via email and phone calls; Chris gave us a call and told us that if we were going to to keep calling asking for updates that he would have to stop the board and train because we were "asking for too much". So we shut our mouths and decided to just listen to him and trust him. We received a total of 4 update videos ranging from 20-45 seconds in the span of 5 weeks. Come pickup day for our dog we were excited to finally see him And see how much he had learned. This fucking guy taught him sit, down, stay, heel, and up in the 5 weeks he's been there. We asked for a demonstration without the e-collar and he stated that the e-collar is "insurance". You're telling me 5 weeks of vigorous training and you still can't get him to perform those basic commands without an e-collar? Okay chris whatever you say. Within the week of our dog being home we had to take him to the vet because he had lost weight, was sluggish, and contracted an infection of some kind. He was prescribed 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. Didn't come from us Chris! When we called and complained about that he offered us a free group training session and then proceeded to give me shit for bringing my dog with a harness instead of an e collar and slip lead. We could just be the outlier in this scenario and had a bad experience, but we referred a friend of ours there too who also had the same experience as us and hated every second of it. Waste of thousands of dollars and empty promises. Hated very second of it and don't know how all these other families are trusting him with their pets. TLDR; Don't bring your dog here. read more

We shopped around for dog trainers had a few meet and greets etc. and decided to go with K9 Logic (1) they have ample experience training large breeds - in particular training mastiffs (2) everyone at the center was helpful and friendly - this was mine and my partners first time using a dog trainer and not once did anyone make us feel like burden or stupid for asking questions (3) our dog (and us) enjoyed being at the center - it was clean, inviting, and a positive experience for our dog (he would get all happy every time he knew we were going to training). We decided to go with the 8-week course and Dom was our trainer. Amazing! Dom took the time to ask and understand our needs and worked with us to implement solutions that worked for us and our dog. I appreciated Dom taking the time to ensure that we understood why we were teaching Hercules the cue. Hercules is thriving - he went from no leash manners to heeling and attentively walking by our side (he still gets excited at times which is to be expected but we have corrections in place to refocus him). We have been able to calmly introduce him to dogs and humans alike, as well as, we have been able to build upon and maintain his training beyond the 8-week course. tldr: 1,000% worth the money and the time!!! This review is long overdue, but wanted to express how happy we are with our decision to train with K9 Logic! Our dog Tsuki was getting more reactive to other dogs and we knew right away we needed help with managing her. Any walk or park outing we attempted was not enjoyable at all if another dog came in sight. We signed up for 8 private sessions and got paired with Jamie for our first few sessions and then worked with Diana for the remainder of them. Both of these ladies were amazing trainers! We were given very clear demonstrations and instructions throughout all of our lessons. The sessions were always very hands on and the feedback we were given on our handling skills was invaluable. I felt like we made huge progress every week. By our last lesson, Tsuki's reactions had minimized, her obedience improved, and she was learning to socialize better with other dogs. Our training ended back in June, but we've continued to implement all of the lessons we've learned from our previous sessions and Tsuki's behavior has only been getting better. We were able to take her on a trip to Yosemite and stayed at a location where there were tons of dogs and it feels amazing to say that she was one of the most well behaved dogs there. We've been taking her out more to pet friendly places-- restaurants with outdoor patios, bars, pet stores-- and every single time she blows me away with her progress. I used to think we could never do any of these activities with her. Of course there are days/moments where it feels like we're taking a few steps back, but it's a lot easier to manage thanks to everything we learned. This review is nearly 6 years overdue. I was young, uneducated, and afraid to speak up when I had the chance. The reason why I'm writing so late, is because I stopped by Glendale and it reminded of this place lol. When I got my puppy with my girlfriend, we noticed our little guy needed some behavioral training. After researching and looking around, we went with some YouTubers recommendations, which led us to K9 logic. Our pup was about 8 months old and during our orientation, we met Chris who recommended the 8 week long individual 1 on 1 and group behavioral training. This was the best option for us because we wanted to be apart of the process since this was our first dog. After talking to Chris and figuring the best package, he also recommended an E-Collar. At first we were iffy, but he explained how it differed from a shock collar and can help with training. After we bought into it, he showed us how to use the E-Collar. And then on our pup. He showed us there was two main buttons, one for small corrections and one for emergencies. When he demonstrated on my pup with the emergency button, I felt something was wrong. My dog had the loudest yelp and became highly afraid and uncomfortable when the E-Collar was around. I'll go more depth about that in a bit. After our orientation/consultation, we tried to train with the E-Collar when we got home with little corrections, but noticed our little guy would shut down when we put the e-collar on. We were unable to make progress with training at home due to the fact he was traumatized already. Everytime it's out, our dog refuses to move (lay down with dead weight until the e collar is gone or out of sight). We didn't know what to do. So we waited until our first session to see what we were doing wrong. On our first day of training, we had the pleasure of meeting Juan (our actual trainer for the whole 8 weeks). During our first session with Juan, we brought along our E-Collar that we had purchased from Chris. We explained to Juan what was happening at home with our pup when the E-Collar was around, and he had saw the levels for the correcting button at 25 and emergency button at nearly max. He asked us why was it so high? We replied, Chris had sold it to us that way and taught us how to use it with those settings. We also explained that he demonstrated the collar on our pup. Juan looked shocked and said, those settings were way too high to begin with. He had to reset our remote to the lowest setting and worked up the levels to see where my dog would react to the levels. We found the sweet spot with Juan at around level 5-6 for basic corrections and emergency button at around 12-14 but it was already too late, my dog was traumatized. To this day, my dog is still afraid of the remote/collar when he sees it. (We still have the collar in our dog drawer, but never use it). Also to note, not sure if it matters. Chris never checked up on us during our sessions or after our program ended. After 2 sessions with Juan, my pup was still shutting down with the E-Collar (waste of $$$). Juan actually suggested a prong collar for corrections instead which we still use currently. Something that wouldn't shut down my pup when training. The sessions went great with Juan, we were able correct behavioral issues during our sessions. Our dog excelled so much with Juan, he had ran out of ideas on what else to correct. So for the last two sessions, it was more fun, he ended up teaching us how to train our pup to do tricks like, roll, fetch, and safe. He continued to teach us on how to better train at home. After our program ended, Juan insisted to stay in contact for any future questions we had and for updates! Juan and our dog got along with each other so well. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. TLDR; came here from recommendations. Chris sold us a 8 week long training package. Traumatized our dog with the e-collar. Met the best trainer, Juan. read more

Chris is a good master coach. He is full of ignition and willing to teach. He brings a lot to the table. You can tell he enjoys teaching because the passion behind it. Chris is very skilled and knowledgeable with all training tools. He speaks the dog's language, so communication with the dog comes easy. It is like harmony. I was very satisfied with Chris. I would recommend him to anyone. I said it once, and I will say it again. Chris is a very good master coach! Go to him with ignition and open mind. K9 Logic (and Chris) are incredible. From traditional obedience training, board and train, to more intense command work, they can do it all and bring the results we love seeing. We brought our labradoodle, Ozzy, to K9 for training. Although all the trainers are great, we had Chris. Chris proves that his job was to get our dog to achieve the goals we had in mind for him. We signed up for the puppy social classes and 8 private training sessions in hopes to get Ozzy to be fully leashless, ready for the outdoors, and to build and strengthen his skills (e.g. recall and healing skills). Although we didn't think possible, Chris managed to get Ozzy there halfway through our privates. This left the remaining trainings where we were able to focus on refinement as well as working on behavioral needs. He was able to come up with methods to deal with and work on for Ozzy, specifically for our needs, our home, our level of effort, and the tools that we had. After 8 weeks, we can't believe the growth we have seen in Ozzy since before K9 to the wonderful companion he is now. All that said, please know that although these trainers are amazing, we learned that it is up to us as the owners to follow through at home and in our everyday life with Ozzy. Be sure to be specific when explaining your goals and amount of time you can dedicate to your dog. This is a collaborative effort between you and the trainer. If that doesn't work for you, I suggest the board and train that Ozzy's brother was enrolled in at K9 Logic. Which also works really well if you do not have the time to put into training.
