Greg and his team have been working with our Doberman rescue, Fang for a year now. We have done several training sessions with Greg and we board Fang regularly as well. Greg is very knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing! Fang loves to train with him and enjoys boarding and socializing with other dogs. Greg has really made Fang into a well trained dog and taught us how to train him!

I have a 34lbs Frenchie who's extremely strong for his size. He would pull on walks and become very reactive when he saw other dogs. I couldn't tell if he was overly hyper or becoming aggressive. It was embarrassing to take him on walks and difficult due to the pulling and reactivity. I've tried prong collars, looking up YouTube videos on training but none would work. I do have to admit I was not very consistent as well. I found Gregg here on yelp and noticed he's close by. I went in for an evaluation. The price was fair, he explained everything in detail. I was a little hesitant about the static collar but he had me try it on my hand feel the vibration and first level settings. I noticed a big difference in my dog after the first 2 sessions. The last session was a dog park and it was actually his first time there so I was nervous but excited he will finally be social. During sessions Greg takes him for the first hour or 2 then you'll join so he can explain you need to do on your end. Gregg was always easy to reach by text. A few things to note, my dog is super sweet but he did not like training. He's not used to being left with anyone else and basically not having his way. So I did have to get used to a little bit of guilt leaving him. Also, you have to be consistent on your end. After training I took Kilo to the park almost on a daily basis and practiced what Gregg taught us then when I was confident enough I took him to the dog park consistently where he did great. He is now able to be off leash and follow commands however I still keep the static collar on him just in case.

I went to Affordable Dog Training to help me with an adopted one year old Belgian Malinois who learned bad behaviors with other dogs, men, trucks or anything that moved not to her liking. Prior to reaching out to affordable dog training, I had used another trainer who helped tremendously with her manners but the reactivity issue was not working to my liking after 5 weeks, lots of money and proposed contract extensions. The vet had called my dog a red dog and required the waiting room to be vacated and my pup to be muzzled. I was frustrated and contemplating returning the dog to the rescue before finding Gregg. Gregg helped the pup to improve tremendously at a fraction of the cost and time. While I appreciate all training efforts, and the pup is a work in progress, I am relieved the pup's reactivity issue is not giving me a heart attack any time she is in public. I highly recommend Gregg for reactive dogs.

Gregg has completely transformed our German shepherd whom for the past 8 years has never been able to interact with other dogs. Within the last two weeks we are able to freely walk around our neighborhood without an incidents, and live under the same roof with two other dogs. The improvement we've witnessed is amazing! Highly recommend!!

I had been looking for a trainer for my rambunctious 2 year old Boston Terrier for quite some time when I came across affordable dog training on yelp. Although there were a couple of bad reviews i decided to give them a call. After a little bit of back and fourth we arranged an initial consultation with Gregg which, right off the bat seemed like he knew what he was talking about. BUT.... Let me tell you his training far exceeded my expectation of what was possible in just a few sessions. My dog was reactive on the leash and pretty out of control around other dogs. We'd have to cross the street on walks and couldn't take him on hikes or for brunch.. it was not ideal and I thought it would take months of training... After 3 sessions with Gregg my dog is good on the leash, we can take him out for social occasions AND I can recall him at the dog park. I never in my wildest dreams thought that would be possible. Gregg really knows his stuff! I'd highly recommend and would give more stars if I could!!!!!

We brought our 3yo 80lb dog-reactive, leash puller, bulldog/sheepdog mix. First off, sometimes he is wary around strangers. He immediately responded well to Greg and the others. Greg taught our dog and me so many techniques! After the first session he was much better, but after the second and third it is like night and day. We have to reinforce the techniques we learned, otherwise he'll certainly regress a bit, but that is just how it works with all dogs. Check out the pic of our dog (big white one) sitting calmly around little ones that he used to lose his mind with.

Gregg quickly saw what needed to be done with our little guy, and we saw huge improvement in only three sessions.

She is also devoted and loving and funny. We did not know what to do when your puppy's chewing, pulling and charging might mean a trip to the doctor! But Alice and the exceptional trainers at K9 Logic sure did. They did not hesitate to take her on with love and firm discipline, teaching both her and us. With their training and support, Aralez was transformed in eight weeks into a dog that truly wanted to behave and interact with us so that she got the best results back. Learning how to use the E collar was the best thing ever now we can walk her past dogs and she doesn't charge, she knows how to Place and calm herself when she gets excited and she's really very responsive to just about everything we need her to do to keep her safe and us safe in an environment that she deserves to be in. Thank you, Alice for giving me hope when I really didn't know if it would be possible to keep her. We love our Aralez and really appreciate you!

We had tried what felt like everything and his separation anxiety was so bad that it got to the point that my partner and I basically gave up our social lives, had to coordinate with one another one of us would be going to the market or if it would be a trip where we both can go but someone sits in the car with our dog. We met the team at K9 Logic Dog Training and they assessed our dog and determined what kind of training program would be best for him to address his separation anxiety and the other skills we wanted to work on. Within a week we noticed progress. We finally were able to leave the house for an hour and go to the market together. Week by week the time has gradually gotten longer where we have been able to leave him alone for longer periods of time to reclaim our social life back. I was skeptical at first, but after that first week I became a believer. We are so happy with the results that for the purpose of just giving him structure and routine we signed him up for more classes and he LOVES being at school. We've also participated in the weekend group training sessions and they are so helpful to not only give our dog routine, but it's a great way to reinforce structure and keep him sharp with everything he learned at school. Signing up for training with K9 Logic Dog Training was the best decision we could made for our dog to set him up for success.

My very alpha dog needed a lot of training and Dawit turned him into a more calm alpha dog who knows his place at home and in public. I'm so very thankful and cannot be more happy with how much of a good boy my dog is. As a first time dog carer, I've learned so much from Dawit and would definitely recommend his training to anyone.

We became prisoners in our own home. We either had to take him everywhere with us or have one of us stay behind. It became a huge burden, and we found ourselves scheduling our entire lives around our dog. We decided to work with Dawit, and little by little, things started to improve. When we got Cooper back from training, he was like a completely different dog. He no longer pulled on the leash, was not reactive when he saw other dogs, his recall was amazing, and many of our typical worries disappeared. However, the separation anxiety still persisted. This is where Dawit truly deserves recognition. He never gave up on us or on Cooper. Our training journey probably lasted longer than most because of how severe Cooper's anxiety was, but Dawit went far beyond the typical follow-ups. Over the course of several months, the training sessions, check-ins, texts/videos, communication, and home visits finally paid off. There were times when I genuinely thought we'd never be able to return to a normal life, but our consistency combined with Dawit's continued support and new techniques made all the difference. Cooper can now stay home alone in his crate without issues. That being said, training only works if you put in the effort. We followed through with everything Dawit recommended, even when it was difficult or when we didn't see immediate results. It's easy to fall back into old habits or give up when progress feels slow, but perseverance truly pays off. Side note: Dawit is just an all-around great person who genuinely cares about what he does. Our dog absolutely adores him. We also love the boarding services he offers -- especially because Cooper comes home exercised and happy. Another huge plus is that Cooper is now off-leash certified, and we fully trust him to make good decisions. Yes, it can be costly, but it's an investment and honestly, I don't know another dog as well‑behaved as ours. I'm incredibly proud of the work it took to get here.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has honestly been one of the most…read moredisappointing customer service experiences I've had in a long time. To start on a positive note: the instructors at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are wonderful. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with my puppy. I truly have nothing negative to say about the training staff themselves. Unfortunately, management completely changed my perception of this business. When I first reached out about enrolling my puppy at just 3 months old, Diego was extremely responsive, accessible, and accommodating. At the time, it felt like he genuinely cared about helping me get started early and setting my puppy up for success. Looking back now, it feels more like the priority was simply making the sale. I purchased a 20-class package and completed about 10 sessions before I was involved in an accident that medically took me out for several months. Once I recovered enough to return, I was excited to continue training and finish the remaining sessions I had already paid for -- only to suddenly be told that my classes had "expired." Here's the issue: nowhere during the sales process do I remember this being clearly explained, nor is it something that stood out on their website when I enrolled. Had someone transparently told me, "These classes must be completed within X amount of time or you lose them," I would have understood the terms upfront. Instead, I was left feeling blindsided after dealing with a serious medical situation that was completely outside my control. What made this experience especially frustrating was how differently I was treated once I needed help instead of making a purchase. Diego suggested I contact the Culver City location because they are corporate-owned and might be able to approve an exception. Their staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and accommodating. They even told me they personally did not understand why Sherman Oaks would not work with me given the circumstances surrounding my accident. Unfortunately, because Sherman Oaks is independently owned, Culver City could not override their decision. At that point, it became increasingly clear that Diego simply did not want to accommodate me. Communication suddenly became difficult. Calls to the office repeatedly went straight to voicemail for days. Messages went unanswered. The number Diego originally provided me to text him through stopped working entirely. Eventually, I called from my office phone instead of my personal number -- and magically the call finally rang through and Diego answered immediately. That moment honestly confirmed what I had already suspected: it truly felt like my number had been blocked to avoid speaking with me. That is beyond unprofessional. When I finally spoke to him, he initially pretended not to know who I was before quickly changing course and stating that "they" would not approve an exception. When I politely asked who "they" referred to, he avoided giving a direct answer. I asked for justification as to why a customer recovering from an accident could not simply finish sessions that were already paid for, especially when another Zoom Room location agreed the request was reasonable. His response was essentially: "Then go there instead." I have been nothing but polite throughout this entire process. I have supported this business from day one. Every class visit included additional purchases for my dog. Yet the moment I needed basic understanding and compassion, I was treated like an inconvenience. Eventually Diego admitted that he had made previous exceptions for me related to cancellations that were also outside my control. Somehow, instead of those accommodations demonstrating reasonable customer service, he used them as justification for why he would no longer help me. That mentality says everything. A good manager understands that life happens. Accidents happen. Medical emergencies happen. Especially in a business centered around pets, people, and community, you would hope kindness and empathy would matter more than rigid policies selectively enforced after payment has already been collected. This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Zoom Room Sherman Oaks. Again, the trainers are fantastic -- but management can absolutely ruin an otherwise great business. He told me that I could speak with Jillian (which I imagine is another manager), but he ended with, "but she won't be approving you either." I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner of this location because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish. Until then, I would strongly encourage potential customers to think carefully before investing large amounts of money here. Based on my experience, the customer care disappears the moment flexibility, compassion, or accountability are needed.
