Came here for a great selection on hay--got their oat and orchard for my bun. Hay looks super fresh and in big plastic bags. I ended up leaving with a few additional items--40lb rabbit pellets and chopped Timothy litter because the staff was so friendly and willing to help. Also have a horse stables with horses for rent & lessons, I think. LA equestrian center is located adjacent to it. Great place to buy horse pellets if you don't want to drive far into farm country. It's a little more on the pricier side compared to other feed stores but the quality is legit. There is a small parking lot next to the horse stables to the right of the store. Service could be a better in the welcome department. We were not acknowledged upon entrance and someone else got service before us even though we were first. After reading other negative reviews it seems to be a trend among people they are not familiar with which is a shame. Hoping it's just a disgruntled staff member and not the actual standard of the owner. read more

I recently got a chinchilla and want him to eat quality hay and pellets since their diet is rather simple and limited to what they can eat. I was going to go to a local farm or something of that sort to get him his timothy hay but came across this place on Yelp and WOW. This little corner of Glendale made me feel like I was up north in Paso Robles! Local neighbors were riding their horses nearby and the entire atmosphere is a vibe you want to be a part of! Please support this establishment if you have any animal that grazes on grass or hay because it is truly a business I want to see more of. TriKee Tack has set the standard for what quality food for animals is and I look forward to stopping by often to pick up my little puff balls food! I met the owner she is truly amazing very caring very knowledgeable and keeps the place very clean and very well organized. The staff is pretty knowledgeable somebody recommended treats for the bunny that he would love which I purchased along with a Himalayan salt. And of course the hay. They only help their own kind here. As soon as I walked in, the brunette cashier talking to a customer looked over at me with a resting B-face, got up, and walked away. Not even a "hi". Takes a long time in the back, comes back to the register, sits right in front of me (while I'm still waiting at the register), and does not even acknowledge me. Just acts like im not there. Eventually, I ask if she's going to help me, and with the biggest attitude tells me, "I'm helping someone else," and walks away to the back again. At that point, the other customer was just browing the store and no other customers in the store. Immediately left the store. Rather go to Damoore about 2 blocks away even though they're not friendly either, but they don't even act this smug. Had to get some food for my bunnies urgently and this place was the closest. Opening hour has been changed to 10am so I made small talk with my bunnies while waiting for the store to open. I got a 10 lb bag of alfalfa hay and a small (5 lb) bag of Oxbow young adult rabbit pellets. Until then I have come here for a few years to get my wild bird seed and my nyger (thistle) The wild birds are really ravenous this year, it took one day for the lesser goldfinch to spread the word that the feeder was out! The customer service is great and Epifanio is very genteel while he delivers his heavy packages to the car. He is also very knowledgeable of the inventory, which makes him valuable to the business, good job. During this CV19 epidemic, the process was very streamlined and efficient, when you arrive you just call them from your car and order. I'm so happy to find a local place I can buy Timothy hay for my two bunnies instead of having to order online. They sell in large bags (called flakes) and bales (about 100 lbs). It's such a good deal! It's about $7-8/flake. The hay is so fresh and green. They have other supplies at affordable prices but as of now I only go for the hay. The two ladies who were there were both friendly to me. I could see how some may perceive them as not because they are very direct when you ask them a question. Came in for a gift for my ten year old daughter back in Washington DC, but she rides English. The shop here is mostly Western and stable supplies (lots of good inventory!) However what got me was that the TriKee tack shop salesperson was very helpful and suggested another nearby tack shop. So I recently adopted a rabbit, and have been trying to figure out what balance of hay/veggies/pellets is best for him. I had bought a small bag of timothy/alfalfa hay for him from Petco, as it was the easiest option when I first took him home. After doing some research it seemed more economical and better for him to get hay from either a local farm or a feed store. Stephens is near the equestrian center, just down the street from Pickwick Bowl- a really cute area with "horses crossing" signs- I even spotted a lady walking an adorable little mini horse while in the area. Stephens sells Timothy hay in flakes which (to me) is a HUGE bag that will probably last at least a month. The hay has a fresh green color and scent with little dust, as opposed to the stuff from the store that has drier pieces in it and can get pretty dusty. I set a bunch in my bunny's cage and he LOVES the stuff. After munching in his box, he ran around my room binkying and was even pawing at the bag and chewing on pieces that were sticking out of the plastic. The hay also has fluffy seed heads, which my rabbit likes to pick out and eat first. Altogether it cost less than $8. I'm happy with it and so is my bunny! Thanks Stephens! read more

Love this place! Learned about it when volunteering with Bunny World Foundation, great economical way to care for the bunnies. Considering I have 6, I can use all the help I can get. Those things can EAT. (and poop). Pine pellets are awesome as litter, and the flakes of hay last forever. No longer will I go to regular pet stores. Note: The large bags of bunny pellets are alfalfa, which are only good for the young'uns, and not healthy for adult buns. Unless you want to promote rabbit obesity (cute, but not recommended). Update your hours! We drive a long way to pick up hay and food for our rabbits and it shows online you are still open. Updated hours are 10am-4pm for anyone wondering, since they don't update it! I wouldn't review just for that but when I saw a worker still out back with bunch of hay and I asked if I can buy at least a little so my rabbits have something temporarily he rudely said no!
