Wow!! Really amazed by the experience and detail. Makes PETCO look like rookies. I got my Shih Tzu 4 months ago and every time I went to PETCO I 'd hear excuses like my dog is difficult. I would get my dog back with nails not trimmed, facial hair around the eyes and paws not cut properly. Just lousy service. What a world of a difference going to Pets R Us. I got a new cockatiel from another pet store , and when my cockatiel fell and broke a blood feather , it was so terrifying because there was allot of blood. I panicked and called all the vets in my area , and either it was going to take a few days to get an appointment or I had to take him in for emergency service with a starting cost of $200. Yikes ! Thank God I remembered my friend telling me he got his cockatiel and budgie from Pets R Us and that the owner is very helpful. This place is absolutely amazing. Today, my little cockatiel got attacked by an eagle. I let him outside (in his cage) for some fresh air and the eagle was picking at the cage and almost took my little baby. He survived, but his wing had been nicked. I was told to go to Pets R Us to see if they may have any medicine for him. Harut, the wonderful owner, took him out the cage and checked his little wing. He said all was alright and told me what to do to avoid infection. He gave me peace of mind, knowing he had been checked by Harut (who must have a lot of experience with birds since he was so gentle and so swift while looking at my little Tito). I also looked at some toys for my bird and some treats. Harut had a wide selection of items that were priced very well. My new go-to pet store is Pets R Us! There's a new puppy in the family so my mom and I stopped at Pets R Us to get him a gift. We were greeted by the man working there who was very friendly and was able to help us out with exactly what we needed. We asked what toy would be good for a little puppy, and he was able to recommend a great chew toy. We also ended up buying some puppy pajamas because they were too cute to pass up. The store looked like it had all the essentials for dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Service was also phenomenal. Ah, where do I even start... The store owner told me that rabbits can only live 3-5 years. Well, that's only true when you feed them the wrong food and keep them on painful wire flooring!! They're not supposed to be eating Armenian bread!! Not to mention that it is now ILLEGAL to sell rabbits in the state of California. I've visited this place twice and it was heartbreaking to see animals living in such terrible conditions. I have brought my dogs here for a few years now. Started out with good prices and good grooming - however my last two visits have dramatically disappointed me. Prices are outrageous and staff are very negligent. I brought my elderly poodle mix on June 6th and picked her up with her back left paw pad shaved off. I ended up having to take her to the vet. When I picked up my dogs (3 of them) that day they also informed me that they had fleas. This was a shock as I regularly give them flea medication. He also proceeded to tell me he was charging an additional $35 for the "medicated flea baths" that each of my dogs were given. No phone call prior- just an additional charge to the already outrageous prices. Also my younger dog had a razor cut on his leg however it healed quickly unlike my poodles paw. Today I brought them back, thinking this time would be different. My biggest mistake yet. When I dropped them off I explained the paw situation to one of the groomers. She said not to worry that they would be very careful and reassured me that my dogs were in good hands. Surprise surprise tho- when I picked them up the same thing on the same paw. (I had treated it with vet help and it had finally developed a scab) the scab was gone and a fresh layer of exposed flesh on my poor dogs paw in its place. I was furious and went back in and politely explained to the owner what had occurred when I had dropped them off. He said that it wasn't from the groomer, that it was her old age, and to just put neosporin on it. I was shocked... this is the exact same thing that happened last time I brought them here and was definitely the groomers fault. I will never be bringing my beloved pets here again. EVER. read more

And my little angel looked pretty good when she came out. I had no complaints about the service. The biggest issue/concern I had was that the door of the place was propped open. I realize it was a hot day but this shop is in a mini-strip center on a very busy road. If a dog gets out, that's it. Game over. So as a concerned (OK, very concerned) parent, that just isn't OK for me. I mentioned it to the owner but he assured me it wasn't a problem. It is for me. Also, the location is a bit dive-y looking. Still, the interior of the shop seemed clean, so if you can overlook the outside, go on in. The Groupon was a great deal... but I felt so uneasy with that door propped wide open onto a major roadway. This was my first time taking my puppy to get groomed. I am quite busy and called to see if they could take Cody around 4 PM. Arthur told me they were really busy, but that I could come over and he will see depending on how Cody was if he would take me or not. Once there he was really welcoming to me and my dog. The man at the desk was very kind and gave this sketchy place some hope at first, but I was wrong. On Christmas eve i dropped off my 9 month old shihpoo off for a haircut with nail trimmings and shower and all the usual stuff. I called about 10 places that day and I wish I had dropped him off anywhere else. When I took my pup in he was a beautiful ball of fluff and although we wanted his hair shorter so he can freshen up, we did not want him to become a rat. They didn't even try, they just shaved him down. I laughed it off at first because it's hair, it grows back. I was however concerned at how my dog latched onto my shoulder and refused to be put down until we started driving away, but still, I understood, he's not used to being around unfamiliar places, he's a puppy. What really made me decide that this place is horrible, is all the razor burns he had! I didn't notice them when we were there because he was clinging onto me, but my mom quickly pointed them out when I got home. He had on giant burn on his inner thigh about 4 inches long and an inch wide. If that wasn't bad enough, when he was sleeping, I noticed one long scratch across the length of his throat! How careless can these people be! I wish I took pictures. They just take your dog and shave them down and throw them in a kennel, with no concern for the dogs well being. My dog was traumatized by this experience and my whole family was furious. They treat animals like dirt. I feel bad for the dog's who are repeatedly brought in by their owners. There are many other places to take your pets to, this is not one. read more
