Burbank Scales N Tails is a really cool local fish shop. They also have other types of pets but I only come for the fish. Spoke to Vahe, the owner about possibly ordering some fish. Down to earth and really cool. Actually all the employees were very friendly and helpful. They're definitely more focused on fish but they have a decent amount of plants for sale. Just need to ask them the price for whatever plant you want as they're not displayed. They also have multiple aquascaped aquariums that are really well done. And there are bundle prices for most of the fish they have. Always a treat to check out Burbank Scales N Tails. Thank you!

Wanted this plant in a display tank, wasn't priced for sale. The staff asked the boss and accommodated me.

This is the neighborhood "mom and pop" type pet store. It is quite unkempt on the interior, but they have a good selection of live animals, feed, and supplies. FYI I come here for aquarium needs. Pros: - accommodating staff. Requested a plant that didn't have a label and the employee asked her boss and they were able to sell it to be for a great price - great selection of reptiles (snakes, lizards, etc.) - one of the few places that consistently has springtails or isopods - I don't talk to people but every time I've shopped at the store there always seems to be a good conversation happening - prices seem standard, though I've compared and they often have slightly lower live aquatic animal/plant prices. Support local! Cons: -not the friendliest staff, I often don't get a "hello" at the register, let alone be told the total amount -There's been an unused, dirty fish tank wall as long as I can remember and it's just in the way and ugly (but i understand the struggles with hoarding) - they don't have a lot of aquarium plants and most plants do not have prices. -understaffed it seems, so be patient with them (waited about 30 mins to be helped cause there was only one person working the aquarium area) - bird cages look unhealthy The place needs to be cleaned up. The staff needs to have better work ethic. That being said. Scales N Tails has been my go to pet store since living in Burbank. I have conures, but I refuse to buy anything for my birds here. BUT I do also have paludariums and a pond and this shop has provided me with most of my live animals and plants. I have not had any issues with disease or mortality. Not the best, not the worst, but definitely one of my favorite places to shop!

Ball python

That's not a good store. Worker sold me Mojave Ball Python for $300 with all equipment which brought my total to $880 claiming that this is a deal because the price on that snake usually $400 even tho this is the most average ball python genetic with average price UNDER $100. So if you're not experienced and trying to get advice from workers of this shop - bad idea. They'll just rip you off. I had a birthday and it was kinda emotional purchase I should've been examined, but well done, Scales 'N' Tails worker, hope you drive a good sales!

They were very respect and informative with my ball python and getting him a bigger cage. My python Ali loves his new habitat and have been moving around a lot more since my wife and I got him his new habitat. thank you.

Very cool pet shop in Burbank with a huge variety of animals. Check it out! They have a small parking lot in front with a few spots.

Adult corn snakes

They have plenty of reptiles and are knowledgeable about them. I did see some reptiles that were not for sale. I'm assuming that they are boarding them or they might just be pets. I've been to many different reptile stores from Simi Valley to Burbank and this is the only store that has adult reptiles. Most have baby and juveniles but this one had many adults. The environment was also pretty clean and well ventilated compared to others that I have been to. The only drawback was the customer service and the parking. I had asked for help and it took them a while to come help me I honestly thought that they had forgotten and was about to leave but when they did come they answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. As for parking I only saw about 4 parking spots in front plus 1 handicap parking spot.

Exact amount I've paid towards business.

Do they sell Hydei fruit flies?

Does anyone know if they have live pinkies for bearded dragons?

I have a baby Bearded Dragon, maybe a few weeks old and I want to know how to properly care for it... Do they need a light at night? Can i turn my lights off and not have anything for him? Also how many times do I give him calcium and Vitamins?

I would use a ceramic bulb or nocturnal bulb for the night time. I would have the night bulb to keep temps above 75degrees.Do not let the ambient temperature get below 75. If a reptile gets to cold it can lead to respiratory infection, digestive…

How much are the bearded dragons?

$60 and up

I've been bringing my English Labrador to our groomer Jen, and I truly can't recommend her enough. She always does an amazing job, and my dog absolutely loves her. Every time I pick him up after his bath and grooming, he's so happy, relaxed, and looks absolutely handsome. Jen is incredibly kind, patient, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. As a pet owner, it's such a wonderful feeling knowing your dog is in loving hands. Thank you, Jen, for taking such great care of my sweet boy all these years. We're so grateful to have found you!

I will never bring my dogs back here, and I would not recommend this groomer to anyone I care…read moreabout. Both of my dogs have been professionally groomed since they were puppies without behavioral problems. After being groomed here, BOTH developed fear-related behaviors we had never seen before. Henry, who previously loved every stranger he met, began barking, backing away and acting afraid when approached. I was also told Charlie tried to bite while having her nails trimmed--something no groomer had ever reported in five years. I gave them another chance because at the time I didn't know what had caused this sudden change. I regret doing so. On our final visit, Henry was only supposed to have the fur around and under his paws trimmed for nail care. When I picked him up, no one mentioned any problem. Once home, I discovered they had shaved his hindquarters, back legs and ONE front leg. He literally had one shaved front leg and one fluffy leg. I had seen another employee approach his groomer while he was still on the table, and shortly afterward they stopped and brought him to me. No one acknowledged the incorrect haircut or told me what had happened. They also couldn't complete Charlie's nail trim. When I complained, I was offered a future free bath, but I chose not to return. At their next grooming elsewhere, that groomer independently commented on how unusually skittish Charlie was. He found that holding her close and comforting her made her feel safe enough to relax and be groomed. I explained that BOTH dogs had developed behavioral issues after their experiences at their previous groomer. Whatever happened during their visits here traumatized my dogs. I know their behavior before and after, and Henry's change has persisted. Before this, he enthusiastically greeted strangers, rolled over for belly rubs and practically peed with excitement meeting people. He now fears many strangers, barks and retreats from them. Charlie, after five years of being groomed without these issues, also came away fearful enough that another groomer noticed it. The cute photos, backgrounds and bows initially won me over. They are not worth what happened to my dogs. I trusted this business with two animals I love, and after seeing the lasting changes in their behavior, I will never trust them with my dogs again.
