This is the second time I've used this company because Hudson did such a great job with my two male dogs, when I found myself bringing home an energetic one year old female, my first thought was to get Hudson over here to help me. And after only one meeting with him, I'm very glad that's what I did. He gave me a clear and understandable plan, each part of which made perfect sense. And while I have to get some equipment, like gates in doorways to keep my older dogs apart from the new baby, the suggestions Hudson made that I could implement immediately are all helping our new addition be in more comfortable and happy. read more

I have met with Hudson twice now and continue to see good results with my dog. Hudson is patient, super knowledgeable, and really connects with her. My dog is somewhat distrustful of people she does not know, and can react badly during walks, but Hudson had her doing simple tricks in a calm manner and gave me the tips and tone to continue in his absence. In two short months, I have seen great improvement in my dog's attitude and focus. I will continue to follow Hudson's training advice on a daily basis and look forward to working with him in the future. read more

Hudson is the best trainer for all dogs. He worked wonders with my boisterous australian shepherd. I have a fully trained, well behaved dog! As a veterinarian, I am very choosy about trainers. He is remarkable and I've personally seen what he does with tough, "untrainable" pets. He adopted a very nervous aggressive pit bull and she is now a complete delight to work with at our clinic. I recommend him completely! read more

Hudson helped train my other dogs 10 years ago, and I'm so glad to be working with him again with my new puppy. He is patient, highly observant, and has a wonderful ability to notice and explain the small details that make a big difference in training. He doesn't just tell you what to do, he explains the reasoning behind it, giving you the tools and confidence to work effectively with your dog. His genuine love for dogs and passion for his work are apparent in every interaction. I highly recommend Hudson and his services. read more

Howard is very knowledgeable and gave me great training tips to help my dog walk without lunging at other dogs, and cats of course. He stresses positive reinforcement. He was great with my pitbull and she responded to his training right away. I highly recommend him. read more

Hudson is fantastic! He worked with my young Weimaraner/Black Lab mix on separation anxiety and gave us fun, effective ways to keep her mentally stimulated. Even with 20+ years of dog experience myself, I learned so much. He's energetic, professional, and very intuitive. Highly recommend! read more

Best Dogs Ever - My baby after a training day. It was fun! Slept soundly that night :) - Pet Training Near Me

The best trainer you could possibly hire. My 90lb reactive rescue dog has massively chilled out, learned precise recall, and happily stays by our side on walks. He can now get a lot closer to dogs on walks, when he used to lose his mind even hearing another dog. Also best of all, Hudson only uses positive work with our dog, no punishment. He has helped our dog become much much more mentally healthy. read more

Hudson is truly a miracle worker. I found him on Yelp and there's a reason he consistently gets 5 stars. He started working with my dog Benson three weeks ago and the progress is astounding. Benson is a rescue who didn't know any commands, and really struggled on a leash/with other dogs. In just three weeks, he's got multiple commands down, and is able to walk past dogs without losing his mind and loves his sessions with Hudson. I can't recommend him enough, his approach is direct but gentle- he genuinely has a gift with dogs. read more

Hudson is an incredible trainer and teacher. We are in the midst of taking the Puppy 101 class and we are learning so much. It's more accurate to say he's training us rather than our puppy in this course---he's effective at communicating information, and emphasizing the most important parts, recognizing that we won't be perfect at first. Hudson is patient, entertaining and smart, and has a real love of dogs. He is dedicated and went way over his allotted time with us to make sure he answered all the questions from the new nervous puppy parents. He really put our minds at ease about things that were worrying us. We appreciate that he's willing to take text questions outside of class and he responds quickly and thoroughly. We plan to use him for much more training in the future. read more

I worked with Hudson and he was great and gave wonderful and helpful advice to help my big 80 pound pup.

Hudson made learning fun and manageable. As first-time dog owners, my partner & I didn't realize how much we needed to learn. Puppy 101 was hands-on & packed with info. We're applying those lessons now before advancing to obedience training. Highly recommend! read more

Hudson really understands dogs and is great at explaining the logic behind his training techniques. As a new dog owner I had a number of questions he was able to answer that will help me create a positive environment for my new pup, and he even provided printed instructions that I can refer to if/when I forget any of the specifics of the training process. read more

We interviewed other dog trainers but knew Hudson was our guy when we spoke. We chose a course of 12 hour long training sessions with our 6 month old rescue Golden. He uses only positive reinforcement and is an animal behavioralist who explains clearly what our dog needs . He makes training fun for us and especially for our ( at first nervous) puppy who adores him. She has gained so much confidence, and so have we - we have skills that will help us address many situations now. There are different options for training courses, which is very flexible financially and for your lifestyle. We will be using him in the future for even more training. He is especially good at teaching the whole family in a clear and simple way how to use training that is consistent. We recommend him whole heartedly!! read more

Hudson with Best Dogs Ever has been incredible for our new pup. Having older dogs in our home for the last 18 years, we haven't had a puppy so we're grateful to have found a dog trainer who has coached us to be successful puppy parents. We chose the Puppy 101 and are following with the 12 hours of Day Training. It's been worth it for the patience and peace of mind that he's given us and how well our new puppy has adjusted to her new home. Hudson is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and has put us at ease and our puppy adores him. read more

I consulted with Hudson last August regarding my pup Sage who has separation anxiety; I could not leave the home without Sage panicking. Hudson provided clear instructions for how to support Sage with being calm when I left and linked me to respected specialists for further training. We started the separation anxiety training well ahead of the curve because Hudson got us off to such a good start - he knows his stuff! I'm so grateful to Hudson for giving us hope, encouragement, and skilled advice. read more

We've had a lot of dog trainers and hated them all. But Hudson is different. His methods work incredibly well and our little pup has matured leaps and bounds. Best part of it all is everything is POSITIVE. Couldn't recommend more. read more

Let me start this review by disclosing that I, myself, am a certified animal trainer and have trained many animals to perform behaviors for enjoyment, photo shoots, and film. However, I was not versed in animal behavior. Hudson is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge. Be prepared to walk away with a ton of actionable information that will improve your dog's behavior and help you understand how to be a better owner. I am so thankful for the help that he has provided Delilah (my 7 pound chihuahua) and me!!! I have tried four previous trainers and Hudson was the only one that truly listened and made the process easily understandable as well as beneficial. read more

We engaged with Hudson for the Puppy 101 training course, and I can't recommend him highly enough! Over the course of two sessions totaling three or four hours, Hudson was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super loving and kind with our puppy. His approach made it easy for us to understand the various techniques and advice he provided. Hudson's instructions were clear and straightforward, making it simple to follow along and implement his recommendations at home. He was also very communicative, which made scheduling our sessions a breeze. His passion for dogs truly shines through in his work, and it was evident that he genuinely cares about both the puppies and their owners. If you're looking for someone who combines expertise with a warm-hearted approach, Hudson is definitely the trainer to go to! Now it's just up to us to continue what he taught us. read more

Hudson and Best Dogs Ever are worth every penny and more! We have two senior dogs and adopted a 9 week old puppy which we anticipated to bring total chaos to our household. We were given the Puppy 101 two 90-min sessions as a gift, and we are so grateful! First off, we had Hudson come over prior to the puppy's arrival was such a wise decision as he set us up with various ways to set the puppy up immediately for success with house training and integrating with the senior dogs. He was so patient and clear in his communications and instructions...all very thorough and wise. He gave a comprehensive list of things to have on hand when the puppy arrived, all of it made the arrival so smooth. And the puppy learned right away where to go, and how to be a happy, well adjusted pup! Then we had Hudson come back after the puppy was here about 2 weeks and he was able to coach us for more advanced techniques. It's been smooth and fun to have the puppy and 2 senior dogs, and all credit goes to Hudson and Best Dogs Ever. Invaluable wisdom and most importantly, all of his techniques are based in positivity training with your puppy, all so lovely. I will recommend Hudson to everyone I know who gets a new dog! read more

Hudson is a truly remarkable dog trainer. His methods are humane, non-aggressive and produce quick results. His approach is patient, kind and very effective. We adopted our shepherd/pit mixes as adults, and they came to us with a whole bunch of behavioral issues - lunging at people and other dogs, barking at everything, scrapping with each other, severe anxiety - and on and on. We worked with a couple of other trainers, but we struggled to embrace the methods. Some of it felt cruel and we dreaded practicing the skills. After a few sessions with Hudson, we walked our dogs in public for the first time in months. His emphasis on keeping the work stress-free and guilt-free, for both the dogs and owners, has kept us moving forward. We are significantly reducing the "reactive" behaviors. Walks are actually enjoyable, and our dogs are so much more relaxed and fun to be with. Hudson's work with us over the last two months has literally changed our lives and we highly recommend him. read more

When we rescued our new dog Gracie we quickly realized we needed some help. Our girl was cute and loving, but also young, energetic and a little out of control. Over the course of several sessions with Hudson we realized that we needed training as much as Gracie did (!). Thanks to his guidance and encouragement we learned basic commands, how to gently calm her down, the importance of vigorous exercise (a flirt pole is a game changer), and the proper way to walk her. Hudson's reward based techniques have made life with Gracie a lot better for all us! read more

Hudson is just the best. When he came over and helped our dog, Huey, Hudson was clear, patient, and told us exactly what we needed to hear to help our sweet pup. Our dog is now very calm and relaxed when new people come to the house but a year later, we're dealing with a different issue and Hudson was available for a 20 minute phone call to help with the issue. He is an incredible resource for all dog owners and we are so thankful to have him as someone we can turn to, should we ever need help again with our dog. Thanks, Hudson! read more

Wow! I found Best Dogs Ever on Yelp after reading great reviews I reached out. We just rescued a 6 month old terrier and I wanted guidance introducing my new dog, to my incredible 6 year old frenchie. I scheduled an introductory call with Hudson and he was FULL of helpful information. His technique is perfect for maintaining our peaceful home and making sure my 6 month old and my 6 year old get off to a great start. After a week, his advice has already made incredible improvements with resource aggression (toys and food) between the dogs. Can't wait to start coaching with him later this year, and see what tricks I can train this terrier to do! read more

We found Hudson on yelp and couldn't be happier with his service! Our dog has improved so much after just 2 sessions. Hudson gave us a lot of helpful information as first time dog owners even 2 years into having our pup. Most importantly, he taught us a hard recall in case we were in an emergency situation. Today, as we walked out of the groomers on a busy street, we didn't realize that the groomers didn't properly secure our dog's collar and leash and he was loose on the sidewalk. We used the hard recall and he immediately came back to us. Overall, Hudson gives very practical guidance that you can continue on your own after the session. We highly recommend his services. read more

Hudson is great! From the initial phone call, he took time to understand our questions and goals -- and provided us with actionable tips prior to our first training session. Hudson is thoughtful and thorough with his approach to training. For our session, he took time to explain everything clearly - creating an achievable plan for us and our pup. Our dog has made major improvements, and all thanks to Hudson's training! read more

WOW. Hudson was simply amazing. My husband and I have been around dogs for a long time and we still learned SO much about how to raise our new puppy. The puppy training 101 is packed with incredible value, insight and we just love Hudson's philosophy to dog behavior and training. It's super positive and even in less than 24 hours and not even fully adopting his advice and we've already seen a noticeable difference in our puppy. We just didn't know how to get through with her and she had some less desirable manners like jumping, nipping, excessive face licking and doesn't respond to "no" when she chews on furniture. Less than a day later and she's been a very good girl! So happy that we invested in coaching with Hudson. He also left us with a book and a folder with great checklists and information. My husband who is usually a skeptic was also blown away. Thank you Hudson! read more

Hudson is a knowledgeable, friendly and honest trainer. He did a wonderful job with Nelson our miniature schnauzer puppy. He always spent extra time with him and really showed his passion and love for training dogs. Nelson would get the most excited I have ever since him when he would see Hudson for training. We highly recommend Hudson for anyone that's looking for a awesome and professional dog trainer. Hudson was flexible and very responsive all the time. We were so lost before we met with Erin. Our puppy was sweet and smart but a little out of control, and we didn't know how to respond. We couldn't keep her in the house while she was awake, and we couldn't stay outside with her. Erin quickly reassured us that there was nothing wrong with our Duchess, or with us. She gave us practical and easy methods to get Duchess to listen to us, to follow us, and to adopt good habits for sleeping, eating and walking. She took the time to answer all our questions and made herself available for advice after our session. She gave us advice specific to our situation and our (presumed) breed of puppy. This was easily the best value for anything we did in 2020. The turnaround was dramatic: that night immediately after our session, we had our puppy sleeping in the crate for the first time. The pee pads all over our house were gone, with nary an accident since. Nipping incidences have subsided to virtually none, for a teething puppy at that. Erin was patient, knowledgeable and a great teacher. We got so much out of our first session, we are coming back for more! read more

Where do we start? Hudson is incredible! We found him on yelp after rescuing a 1 year old pug mix who had NO basic skills or manners. We were desperate to get her under control and after meeting with a handful of trainers we signed up with Hudson. He made it so super easy by coming to see her at home and working with her directly and also worked with us to teach us how to carryover/practice the newly acquired skills. After just a few sessions Rory was a different dog and she continued to improve after each of his visits. She is now potty trained and following basic commands on a consistent basis. Rory loves her "Uncle Hudson" as we have now coined him and we would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a high quality, well informed, dog-loving trainer. read more

What would we do without Hudson?!? We did Puppy 101 as well as 3 weeks of Day Training and Hudson was unbelievably helpful, thoughtful, informative, and went above and beyond with our high energy puppy. Hudson was so helpful! He really went above and beyond in the amount of time spent with us. Our dog has a lot of anxiety and he was super patient in his treatment of her and explanations to us regarding how to go forward with training, and then spent most of the session showing us exactly how to do the training. We noticed an improvement in our dog almost immediately! Would definitely recommend training with Hudson and Best Dogs Ever. read more

We are extremely Happy with how our first session went. Hudson asked plenty of question to try and know our relationship with our boy Milo and to try and set a plan in place. He was very imformative and best of all his energy was amazing. Milo responded well to him and he knew exactly how to handle our dog. He set up a plan for us and advised us on some changes we can make to have Milo be a better boy than he already is. I would gladly recommend Best dogs Ever to anyone who is looking to further their dogs training or want to make some corrections. Thank you Hudson read more

Hudson is the best! He's been helping my girlfriend and I train our German Shepherd puppy since we got her at 9 weeks, and we could not have had a better experience.
