We love zoom room! We've been doing pack walks with Justin for 2 months and it has been a total game changer! We couldn't walk this dog before, she was completely out of control. With Justin's help we now have a well behaved dog that we love to hike with! Thank you :)

My well behaved boy, thanks to Alex.

I am extremely happy and impressed with the effectiveness of the training my dogs have received from this location. Alex is an extremely knowledgeable and gifted dog trainer. I came to this Zoom Room location after the Santa Clarita location suddenly closed its doors in July. The Owner, Diego, is very kind and always welcoming. I had adopted a 5 month old Boxer/Doberman mix back in June from the animal shelter and had just began taking him to Zoom Room for Obedience classes when the Santa Clarita location closed its doors. Unsure of where to turn to, and with my growing dog desperately needing obedience training, I decided to make the hour long drive and give Zoom Room Sherman Oaks a try and I scheduled a private Obedience session with Alex. I immediately observed how well her calm and positive energy worked with my dog, like a true "Dog Whisperer". We did some agility training which my dog really enjoyed and continued with the Obedience training. One month later and I am extremely proud of my dog's progress and how far he has come. I followed Alex's advice and guidance on what/where to practice with my dog on my own and after putting in the work, all of her tips have worked so well! My dog has gone from excitedly pulling/lunging on the leash to a calm model citizen, a place I never thought possible for him. After my huge success with my new dog, I decided to bring in my 3 year old Cane Corso for a private Obedience session with Alex. I rescued my Cane Corso a year ago and she has had severe anxiety / fear of strangers and requires a dog trainer that really knows what they're doing, not quite as easy as training a puppy. I had previously paid another trainer to come to my home with no progress and my dog did not like her. However, I was confident Alex's calm energy would get through to my dog. Alex remained neutral with my dog, did not force any interaction, and allowed my dog to grow more comfortable with her in her own time. Alex explained to me all the body language my dog was displaying and really helped me to understand what was going on in her head. It is clear she has a deep understanding of dog behavior. We also practiced some confidence building with agility which really helped my dog to relax. Once again, I followed all of Alex's advice on how to work on my dog's anxiety on my own and after only a few days I am seeing a lot of progress with her! Totally worth the drive for us.

Private lessons with Alex are Ollie's favorite!

We are so grateful to have found Zoom Room! We have been working with Alex and Diego to get ahead of my puppy's separation anxiety and all the other challenges caring for him requires. I was having some serious puppy blues and working with these thoughtful and skilled trainers has given me the confidence and capability to forge ahead. Your loved ones are in great hands here!

I have been coming here for a few months and so happy with the training! I have had dogs my whole life growing up, but never did any training with them. Now I recently got my own dog and since she was still a young pup when we got her, she was one rowdy dog! She was very hyper and not house trained at all. After just 3 classes, we have over 6 solid commands down and learning more! I love the group class setting as it provides just enough distraction for my pup that we can't get at home and mimicks more real life. The trainers are also nice and attentive. Can't wait to keep going to more classes and trying agility next time! Thank you!

Gus at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks Obedience Class

The classes and private trainings we have attended so far has been very helpful with my dog Gus. The trainers give us the proper tools on what to work on at home. I have seen improvement on my 15 month old golden doodle named Gus. Everyone is very responsive and helpful especially Diego whenever I call plus they keep their facilities clean and they have a variety of products for dogs.

Last day of Obedience 1

As a first time dog owner, Zoom Room Sherman Oaks has been the best for training my dog and me on his basic manners! We just finished Obedience 1, and are excited to get started on Obedience 2. We've also taken the loose leash walking class, which has given us a lot of help on pulling and staying neutral with other dogs. My dog loves trainer Alex, but both of the trainers we've worked with were great! We do group classes to keep him socialized, but they also offer private classes if needed. I like how patient the trainers are, and that we can go on our own pace/schedule. I've learned that obedience training is mostly human training and involves a lot of homework, but the payoff has been worth it. The classes help in learning commands, but also in building the bond between you and your dog.

We absolutely have loved Sherman Oaks Zoom Room! Chip is getting better and better with each visit, and we love both the obedience and agility courses. It has also helped Chip to socialize more and the guidance and support has helped a ton as we raise our puppy. Thanks!

All the trainers at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are patient and supportive of every dogs success with obstacles in agility training. They offer good suggestions to improve your dogs success throughout the class and keep all participants moving through the class well. Agility classes are also a great way to continue working on general training once you've completed obedience school.

Sally has been there for us through training, boarding, board-and-train, and daycare, and I have never once worried about leaving our dog in her hands. Her place truly feels like our dog's second home, and that kind of trust means everything. Her assistant, Sam, is also wonderful, kind, attentive, and clearly just as caring with the dogs. They also go above and beyond with enrichment and socializing, taking the dogs on walks, to dog parks, and even on beach outings. Thanks to the socialization and experiences they provide, our dog's confidence has grown so much. One of the sweetest things Sally did was throw a birthday party at daycare for our girl's first birthday and her dog friends. It was such a special memory and just shows how much love she puts into what she does. If you're looking for someone who will love your dog as much as you do, Sally is your person. Mila is afraid of most new people, especially women, and COVID really took a toll on her because it put a halt to all our hard work in socializing her. Shawn knew exactly what to do and gave us tips on how to be consistent with her even after our appointment. The best part about Shawn is she will answer the phone or text us whenever we have a question. I was entirely overwhelmed and at my wit's end trying to manage her behaviors. When I hired Brett, I'll admit I fought him along the way on some of the training protocols--but in the end, he was correct about EVERYTHING. The most vital thing for difficult or frustrated dog owners to understand is that Brett's training isn't just about fixing the dog; it is primarily about training YOU, the owner. He provides an exceptional structure and leadership framework, but it only works if you are willing to check your own habits, get on board, and consistently follow through as a pack leader. His methods are incredibly kind, humane, and highly effective at correcting severe behavioral issues. Today, I am so incredibly happy with how my once-crazy dog has turned out. Thanks to Brett, Lucy is a wonderful companion who listens perfectly, handles major environment changes like moving to Downtown LA beautifully, and doesn't react to other people or animals anymore. Having her in my life has truly become the amazing journey I always hoped it would be. If you are willing to put in the work on your end, Brett is absolutely the best master trainer you can find!

Teddy a sweet pup but struggled with anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding and was VERY sensitive to being touched and would often lash out or try to bite. We were really worried about how to help him and how to curb some of these bad habits we'd no doubt reinforced with our own behavior. When I called Brett for the initial consult, he was patient, understanding but also honest and direct about the time and effort it would take and the changes we would have to make to have a real impact. We were open to the feedback and committed to making a change in and out of our home. WOW. We've been working with Brett consistently for 3 months and Teddy is like a new dog. He is calmer, happier, more obedient, and much more confident and tolerate of being touched (especially on sensitive areas like his paws!). Our friends and family have all been shocked at the noticeable difference in Teddy's overall demeanor (happier and calmer!) and behavior. Our groomer asked us what had changed as he was so much calmer and happier to deal with. I want to be clear this is no "magic pill" we put in the work but with Brett's guidance and structure, we cannot believe the results. Teddy is of course still a work in progress and we have more work to do, but seeing the progress he's made in such a short amount of time with Brett's thoughtful approach has been so exciting. Brett truly understands dogs and their psychology and this makes him a true expert. Just know that part of the training process is training your pup but also training yourself to adjust your own behaviors to create a positive outcome long term for everyone. We cannot recommend Brett enough!!!

It's also nice that the dogs can mingle before or after class (I've been to another trainer where all the dogs were petitioned off and cannot see one another). If there is, then we'll start with that, if not, then we do a quick review and start to learn something new. Time goes by in her classes because we are all having fun! I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN.
