This was a cute place for breakfast in Jackson Hole. Not far from the town square, it's got street parking. On a September Saturday, it was very crowded but had lots of outdoor seating (it was chilly so people were clamoring to sit inside.) My friend and I got lucky with an indoor table. The line was out the door but service was efficient. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. We both got the turmeric lattes with oat milk and I got the egg, cheese and tomato breakfast sandwich. The latte was and my sandwich, a simple but filling option. I ended up taking half of it to go for lunch later on. On a quieter and warmer day, it would be nice to enjoy a latte or dessert on the patio to people watch. Persephone is the highest rated bakery in the area, so having a major sweet tooth, I gravitated here like a magnet. We arrived here for brunch, and were impressed by the architecture and overall ambience. Its beautiful, white exterior adorned with flowers, and its outside seating area with ample seating facing a view of the mountains set the tone for a charming experience. Inside, it was a bit more cramped and packed to the brim with customers looking to get their fill of delicious pastries, decadent lattes, and sandwiches. After the friendly staff went over a few recommended options, I'd settled with a hazelnut iced latte, a double chocolate chip cookie /w walnuts, tuna salad sandwich, and an avocado bowl. The hazelnut iced latte was one of the best iced coffees I've had, rich and with large hints of Ferrero Rocher chocolates with every sip. The double chocolate chip cookie /w walnuts was fantastic and a very popular option here. It's gooey in the best way, dense, and generous on the chocolate chip and walnut filling. Everything worked and I'll be sure to order this on every future visit. Now for savory; the tuna salad sandwich was a top 2 I've ever tried. It was a bit salty, but it worked. Bread (find out) had great texture, it was light on mayo which gave room to explore flavors from all the other ingredients such as sliced cucumbers, capers, red onion, and sun dried tomatoes. Loved this. The seeded avocado bowl was both beautifully plated and delicious. It had an assortment of fresh and tasty ingredients that blended well together such as avocado slices embedded in everything spice, colorful cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, smoked salmon, feta cheese, crisp, rye biscuits, sliced soft boiled eggs, capers, and pickled red onions. They got me hooked on a new green pomelo iced tea...and everything else they serve. If they have the pumpkin bread, it's a must. They have homemade cookies in boxes for sale and they're amazing. This would be so dangerous to live by if I wasn't just traveling through Jackson. Their baked goods are gorgeous, creative, and clearly well-baked from even just looking at them, much less tasting them. I recommend coming soon after they open if you want the best to-go, as it will sell out. My favorite pastry in the world is the kouign amann. I was looking forward to trying it here, but of course they were all gone by the time I was there. The french macaron and blueberry muffin were great consolation pastries. I came later because I wanted to have a sit-down lunch. The interior is so charming, but I had to sit outside with my dog on the comfortable patio. My turmeric latte was good, but too strong a choice to go with the flavors of anything else I was eating. I treated myself to a Gin + Juice too, which was refreshing and well-balanced with the beet juice and ginger. For brunch, I ordered the perfectly made omelette, with bright and beautiful sweet pea ricotta to set off the peppery arugula. I love how well they've done with a short but brilliant menu and pastry selection. The perfect breakfast! My friend and I were only in town for 2 days. We came here the first morning and were not disappointed. The pastries are incredible. The layers of croissants are done perfectly. It's super light, thin and crispy. The capuchino has no sourness after taste, which is great. Quiche is a must-try in their menu. The coffee shop/bakery is super cute inside out. It's so crowded in the morning so finding a table can be tricky. Persephone was on the top of my list for our trip to Jackson after reading reviews and multiple personal recommendations, however after two visits I have mixed feelings. The lattes and regular coffees left a lot to be desired -- the medium latte was either in a deceptively small cup or I was accidentally given a small, and to add insult to injury it was only 2/3 full. Both this and the regular black coffee were weak with a slightly bitter flavor (you're better off going to Snake River Roasting or Cowboy Coffee for consistently delicious coffee). The chocolate and plain croissants were great, but almond croissant too heavy, and the scones/biscuits very underwhelming. Oatmeal cookie was the only cookie worth having. Yogurt and granola delicious. Loved the aesthetic and chic, clean ambience, but I found it odd that when we arrived shortly after opening the display case was totally empty and the staff were very slowly and almost lazily filling it as we waited in line, as if we caught them off guard. By the time we were at the front, there were still only about 3 items out so we had no visual cues on what was available or even looked appealing. On our second visit, a staff member commented that they just bring things out as they become available. It seems that they quickly and routinely sell out throughout the morning so it's likely irrelevant to the business that a few early risers were left disappointed, however it felt very entitled to not be fully prepared to receive (paying!) customers during the business' own defined operating hours. read more

I took no photos of our food, but the chicken breast sandwich delivered a satisfying, savory, unique taste, with fresh romaine lettuce, juicy tomato and thick bacon on soft, tender sourdough with a crunchy crust! Also, the outdoor patio is charming with plenty of shady spots, surrounded by tall green trees and lovely wildflower gardens.
