Came here the day before a marathon to bulk up on carbs! There were closing in an hour so we were grateful that they let us in as a group of 7 people. Didn't seem like a problem though as a handful of tables were still there when we left. Service was good but the food was awesome. All of us were running so we all needed different foods and they had plenty of options. I do remember the sun was beating down on us lol very hot day but it was a good experience and when I am in town I would be happy to go back and try more items. Looking for a breakfast spot in Jackson Hole, WY and Cafe Genevieve has been suggested by many. A quaint, stand-alone building resembling someone's home is packed with patrons who must agree. We were seated and quickly gave our order. The biscuits and gravy are one of my favorites. Cafe Genevieve does them very well. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was rich and flavorful with a plentiful amounts of sausage. The eggs done over medium were also good. A bowl of fruit was ordered with fresh blueberries and ripe strawberries. Again, a generous amount. Cafe Genevieve has a staff that hustles. The food is done well and the portion sizes are large. I visited a few weeks ago for my friend's birthday. Oh boy the brunch I had here was good! I ordered the cheese grits and eggs that were topped with green onions and it was go good and reminded me of back home in Alabama. Recently dined in with a party of 7. Groups of 5+ are heavily encouraged to make reservations anywhere in town. Most of my party showed up 10-15 minutes late and staff was friendly about it. Service was prompt when everyone arrived. Drink orders were promptly taken as we trickled in. This was probably one of my favorite meals while in town. Everything was fresh and delicious. Meal prices are about what you would expect for Jackson... overpriced for eggs and pastries. People rave about the "pig candy" which is 4 pieces of candied bacon they give you for $16. The food here is delicious! The service on the other hand is below average at best. The place stays extremely busy, so a little wait was expected. We put our name on the list and received a text and were told about 10 minutes. Not a problem. We saw many people leaving while waiting outside. Well we waited about 25 minutes as opposed to 10. Then when we get the text we were told you can sit at the bar instead of a table even though I saw two tables that were open and clean. So we went and sat at the bar. Then two minutes later another couple that was standing outside was seated at one of the empty tables. Well we sat at the bar and it took about 10 minutes before any one came and greeted us. Finally came back and took our order. We received our food which the s'mores French toast and the corned beef hash were both fantastic, but after the food. We got the check and it took another 10-15 minutes before they came back to pick up and run my card. Look I get being busy, as they were. But there are some improvements that can be made. read more

So much of Jackson is fake: fake exteriors, chain businesses, up-scale pretentiousness. Please. Then there is this cafe, just off the square, nestled in a log building that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Not only real, but historic, yes! It is busy but staff work together to keep your coffee filled. Friendly and patient, particularly with those who ended up here for who knows what reason. Love the breakfast choices, from benedicts to chicken/waffle (recommended) to classic western of 2 eggs, home fries and bacon (my favorite). The multi-grain wheat toast by itself almost makes it a worthwhile stop. Only one issue--a single restroom for a lot of people. But hey the coffee is worth the wait in line. read more

What went well? Everything! From the moment we stepped foot in, we were sat quickly and everyone was Uber friendly. The server was amazing. He was quick and tended to our every need. The restaurant has a very small vibe but I think it seats quite a few people. The food tho... I knew the instant I saw boudin on the menu, I had to have it. Luckily they have a Cajun Eggs Benedict made with boudin that was absolutely phenomenal. I have had ALOT of eggs Benedict and this has to be one of my favorites. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, the hollandaise was tasty and the baguette that it was all put on was soft and easy to cut through. Easily one of my favorite meals on this(so far) week trip I'm on. We ordered some of the Pig Candy which I hear they are known for. Café Genevieve on East Broadway in Jackson is an adorable breakfast/brunch spot just off the Square in Downtown. The menu ranges from eggs and omelettes. Soup, salads, and sandwiches. There is a small coffee and cocktail list as well. I ordered fried chicken and waffles takeout on the way to the airport. I was actually really surprised at how delicious they were (I am used to fried chicken and waffles being dried out a little bit, but was willing to give Café Genevieve a shot) The hostess was friendly. We recently discovered Café Genevieve on a Sunday day trip from Idaho Falls. It had been decades since I was last in Jackson. All I can say Jackson has become quite the resort town catering to visitors. We were happy that we could still be seated at Genevieve even though the 3:00pm closing time was approaching. Service was friendly and accommodating and we were seated outside in the wonderful dry mountain air, something an East Coast type like me who has to experience hot and humid summers really appreciates. JP ordered the avocado toast, which he loved. It comes with two eggs and their homestyle potato cubes. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which now does not currently appear on Genevieve's online menu. My sandwich was full of good flavor and very very filling. Because it was so big and gloppy (I don't mean that in a bad way) I opted for eating it with a knife and fork. The house-prepared kettle-style potato chips that came with the sandwich were very good. This was an excellent breakfast spot. We sat in a nice outdoor seating area, so I'm not sure what the inside looked like. The weather was perfect outside and the scenery was beautiful. Jackson looks like you're on a movie set, with the mountains rising high behind the buildings. For our breakfast, we had the Belgian Waffle (with berries and whipped cream), and the Cajun Eggs Benedict (with potatoes). Thankfully the wife n I like to share, so I got to enjoy both. And both were delicious. The waffle was crisp and fluffy, the berries were fresh, and the whipped cream was just the right amount of sweet. The eggs Benedict were full of flavor. The hollandaise sauce was excellent, and the potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The only downside to our visit was the service was a little slow at times (getting our order in and getting our check), but everything else was great. After reading the reviews of the Cajun Eggs Benedict, I just had to find out for myself. Popped in and ordered the dish where I asked if I could sub the potatoes for berries instead as I don't eat potatoes and the server, Piper, said it wasn't a problem at all. Got the food and it looked amazing, tasted amazing as well. Piper checked on me once before i started eating, and twice while eating (which to me is just the right amount of checking on. ). Would recommend. Reservations are recommended for table seating or any group over 2, or they'll direct you to the bar to be seated. Restaurant music is the perfect genre and volume level where you can still have a conversation with someone and not have to talk loudly. Quaint little spot with good food, good ambiance and friendly and attentive employees. 10/10 One last thing, overheard they DON'T have tap to pay, bring a physical card or cash.
