Space was limited so we elected to grab and go. A glass case displaying the baked good let you know that the selection of treats is vast. A blueberry and carrot cake type muffins were ordered from a middle age lady with a snippet attitude. Customer service is not one of her strong suits. The large muffins were packed with flavor and not over-sweet. The base of BOTH muffins were over-cooked, dry and stuck to the bottom wrapper. Persephone Bakery makes a large variety of good tasting baked goods. The dry and overcooked base sometimes happens. It was just a lack of attention at a vital step during the process. The food is excellent. It is just SO overpriced. Even for Jackson. I got two egg sandwiches and 1 coffee and it was $45 with a minimal tip. The sandwiches were very good. They were perfectly wrapped in branded paper and closed with branded tape. Nothing else came with them. I ordered a latte with honey and they pointed me to the condiment table. I said, well, how about simple syrup? They pointed me to the table. For the prices they charge, make the entire coffee for me. And, for what it's worth, you can't put honey into a hot drink and have it dissolve easily by itself. Coffee places that offer it have a warm or diluted honey that can easily blends into drinks. I mean, go here. You will love it. Everything is great. I hear the tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich is just perfect. I just couldn't get past the cost but I know many people in this town don't mind. If you have people in your party with a big appetite, send them two blocks down to D.O.G. for a grab and go breakfast burrito that is chock full of flavor and goodness for $12. read more

This is a very cute bakery and coffee shop. We got there late morning so they didn't have as many pastries as they probably did earlier. My husband and I shared a chocolate croissant and an apple pastry, and got coffee to go with us (mocha and breve). The pastry dough tasted devine-buttery sweet. I cut each pastry in half and was a little dismayed to see so little chocolate in the chocolate croissant (see my photo). We liked the apple one better. So good! The mocha had a weird taste (almost like Mexican vanilla but I'm not sure what it actually was) and the breve was respectable but as I write this 2 days later it isn't memorable. We noticed some good-looking sandwiches people were eating for an early lunch. I'd love to try them sometime. read more

Stopped one morning because I was pretty sure their coffee would be good. I wasn't wrong. Be advised, there is not a ton of indoor seating but they do have a patio that is a great escape if the weather is just right. There is usually a line out the door, but I am glad I waited it out. The cute little concerted house is much better than any chain coffee you may be used to. The service is good and while my blueberry muffin did not hit the spot, the special I ordered which had egg, Jake and a sweet potato has sure did. This was delicious bowl of goodness and while I don't think it is on the website menu, I am glad I tried it. The muffin just wasn't a traditional moose and sweet treat. Maybe I got a dud. Overall, Persephone has a lot to choose from and great coffee so give it a whirl. read more

So much hype. Even at 7 am when the temperature was in the 40s, there was a line outside. And yes, we waited in it! Thankfully it moved quickly and we were able to not only order at the counter but also find a couple of seats soon after. We got the caramel apple croissant (looks more like a tart), an iced pumpkin spice latte, the smoked salmon bowl, and the ricotta omelette. Loved the salmon bowl - great flavors, portions, though expensive. The omelette was bland and it felt like the ingredients didn't go well together. The latte was tasty (couldn't taste the pumpkin though) and the croissant was good too. They kept the bakery quite chilly, so much so that the butter on my omelette solidified midway! I'd say this is a fine bakery to visit but I would be ok skipping it if there's a loooong line! read more

I can see why everyone talks about this place whenever they visit Jackson. Do not let the long line stop you from get food from here. It does move very quick. We went twice and both times the line was out the door. It is a very small place with just a few tables inside and the rest is outside seatings. Very decent sandwiches. I came in for a little snack and decided on the cranberry walnut scone. I thought it was really good. It was yummy and flavorful and not too sweet even with the frosting drizzle. Saw very good reviews on this place and decided to try it myself. Persephone Bakery is must try in Jackson Hole. Indoor seating was small. The patio has additional seats but it was raining that morning. Got here at around 7:30 AM. Line was short and moved quickly but a few minutes after, more people came. We did not wait that long for food to be served. The food was delicious. Yogurt and granola was the perfect kind of sweet with berries. Brioche French toast was also awesome. It had delicious brioche, stone fruit and pistachios with mascarpone cream and cinnamon sugar. Seeded avocado bowl was soo good too - fresh yet savory. Their cookies are huge. Persephone is a must go while in Jackson, but be warned to get here early!! We got here around 7:30-8 and this place was already packed but don't let the crowds scare you because it is so worth it. We came for breakfast after some sunrise photos and got a small table inside. We all got some coffees which had some great latte art. The largest latte size does come in a to go cup as a heads up! For breakfast, I shared the bacon and egg croissant and the french toast. The croissant sandwich was delicious and the french toast was out of this world. Don't let the line scare you away, it moves very quickly. Bacon had cracked black pepper, adding a nice depth of flavor. Sourdough was perfectly toasted and buttered and was a perfect vessel for either eggs or the delicious jam. Eggs were done right; not runny. French toast was delicious. Croissant was flaky and yummy. This place lived up to the hype! Everything here is delicious. My family and I ended up coming here twice because we liked it so much! You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you, even though they are busy your food comes out pretty quick and all the staff is so friendly! The first day we went for breakfast and ordered the quiche Lorraine, basic breakfast, omelette, croque madame, egg peperonata, and the sweet potato & brussel hash everything was amazing! My basic breakfast came with toast and strawberry rhubarb jam (soo good) we got some jars to take home! The next time we went we went for an early lunch and ordered the seeded avocado bowl, melon & prosciutto salad, grilled cheese, mortadella sandwich, flank steak sandwich, the chicken club, and the jambon-beurre again everything was amazing & the bread was incredible. This French bakery is known for their baked goods, but they also do full plates, lunch, and sammiches. I selected the Brioche French Toast. It was delicious. Stone fruit, chopped pistachios, cinnamon sugar, and mascarpone cream all topped this crispy, fluffy brioche bread. Honestly, when I saw it, I thought it looked a little small, but it was actually quite filling, and just a perfect serving size. My wife enjoyed a chocolate croissant. And we got a strawberry cream cheese pastry to go. The restaurant is small with some seating inside and some outside as well. If I could give zero stars for service, I would. Started our morning here. Every staff member looked miserable -- not one smile. No one asked if our order was for here or to go, so our pastries were tossed in a bag. Indoor seating was full, so we asked for something to wipe the wet outdoor tables. The guy up front look annoyed & said he'd "see"- never followed up. When our drinks were ready, I asked another worker for plates. She muttered without any eye contact she'd get them "in a second" & never did -- she didn't seem to care to help and ensure I had everything I needed after handing me my drinks. We ended up eating off the bags outside and wiping down the tables ourselves. The terrible service really spoiled things for us and we never returned during our stay in Jackson Hole for that very reason. I've always heard Wyoming people are friendly -- and they are-- just not at this place. read more

We loved it so much that we went twice back to back and would've gone a third time if we weren't leaving the next day. It's super cute bakery/brunch spot but has very limited seating. Thankfully, people go in and out so you don't have to wait for long but it's not a place where you can sit and chat for hours because there are other people waiting and even hovering to grab your table. The prices here are very reasonable. There's a cute typewriter towards the bathroom that you can take advantage of to leave a little note! Also, the Teton Wildflower Honey is the BEST honey I've ever had! It's a bit pricey but SO worth it. Ok, let's talk about the food. It's so incredibly yummy and unique. We got the omelette, brioche french toast, herbed fries, turmeric latte, and a cappuccino. The fries and the cappuccino were okay. The turmeric latte was extremely good. The brioche french toast was also great. However, the star of the show was definitely the omelette! It was absolutely amazing! I stay dreaming about the next time we are visiting Jackson Hole again so that we can stop by Persephone for brunch but also stock up on the Teton Wildflower honey. The service is friendly, the ambiance is adorable; cute, bright, clean, upscale bakery. The hazelnut steamer was extra good, the coconut carrot cake was fantastic (it really hit the spot after some miles of hiking), the jalapeño cheddar biscuit was dry and flavorless (our only miss). The smores cookie was the stuff of cravings, the dark choc Bundt cake was decadent and the chocolate croissant was buttery and flakey. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before ordering and it was well worth the wait! The entire menu sounded so delicious, we had a difficult time selecting our final orders. My friends and I visited Persephone bakery on a Wednesday, there was a small line (~10 min). I got a lemon lavender pound cake ($6.50) and a cheddar scallion biscuit ($5). Both were pretty good. The pound cake was the perfect amount of sweet but was on the dense side. The biscuit was nice but I wish it was a bit more cheddar flavored. Great with a cup of coffee. I think Persephone Bakery shines the most with the outdoor seating. There's plenty of plants among the tables, and with the fresh morning air it's magical. The bakery definitely gives off a west LA or north county SD vibe. Hipster ex-Californians lol. But I'm not complaining as a San Diegan. A nice treat to drop by on a trip to Yellowstone. read more

First of, this place is super cute. I navigated here and was confused as to where the shop was because this cute little house couldn't have been it. It was and it was just as cute inside as it was outside. There was a line, even in the off season, but it moved very quickly and we were able to get a seat inside. There was outdoor seating but I'm a wimp and don't like to sit outside to eat when it's cold. They did offer blankets to people sitting outside, which I thought was really nice. We wanted to get a mid day snack, so we opted to come in and have a hot drink and maybe a baked good. However, the appeal of a grilled cheese on this bright, chilly day got me. The only issue was they had changed the menu but not the menus so there was no grilled cheese and my husband doesn't eat ham so we couldn't get the ham and cheese. We decided on the kids grilled cheese. It was really good but also really greasy. We also had the cinnamon brioche. Excellent! We didn't get coffees, we tried the mulled apple cider and a London fog latte. That might have been one of the best London fogs I've ever had. The apple cider was pretty delicious as well.
