The ice cream is rich, creamy, and they have a great variety of flavors. I like that they use natural ingredients and no food dye. The huckleberry was my favorite. Portions are generous, and it's the perfect way to end the day after dinner. The flavors are listed on TV screens around the shop which helps you prepare in advance otherwise the samples are great to make final decisions. So, so, so busy! The staff are on it and know how to be kind while moving you along so the line does go quick. My hubby fot Moo's twice on our trio. The creative flavors were fun and he especially enjoyed the salted caramel, huckleberry and vanilla. The scoops are a decent size. There is very limited seating inside so take a seat on the curb outside, or walk a littlw with your ice cream. tl;dr at its best, the eccentric flavors are well worth the expected downtown Jackson premium Moo's Gourmet Ice Cream is a premium ice creamery that promises organic, hand-crafted ice cream to downtown Jackson. The broad flavor lineup ranges from the basics like Vanilla Bean to rotating, off-the-wall offerings such as Spice Rum Banana Coconut. But the Wild Huckleberry is the main draw -- Food Network even awarded that flavor the title of best dessert in Wyoming. The shop is about a block from the Town Square. Outside, you can't miss the hunter-green facade, Moo's custom neon sign, and twinkle lights looping around the columns. A bench runs the storefront length under the cover of the building's wooden awning, and a bright pink flat screen displays the long list of flavors above the entrance. Inside, the wide dessert display counter spans the entire length of the room. To the left, candy apple-red chairs are pressed up to petite tables, and the whitewashed walls are decked with Moo's merch and a large Coca-Cola sign. The right side has a standalone counter with Coca-Cola-branded barstools and a mermaid mural. I visited Moo's before the official summer season, so the shop boasted only a short line -- yet, it moved at a snail's pace. Further, the staff were mostly disengaged, although they patiently scooped me samples. Among the more creative flavors, some are definite misses: the Chocolate Cabernet Sauvignon reminded me of a cheap, fruit-filled truffle; the Jamison Whiskey Pecan was like an overpoweringly bitter pecan pie; and the real Pistachio had plenty of whole nuts but was otherwise dull. Other flavors were excellent: the intense, tart Wild Huckleberry had ground-up fruit specs; the Chai Tea was robust and not overly sweet; the Buzz Bomb (espresso) achieved a nice balance between bitter and sweet with plentiful chips; and the B52 (Kalua, Grand Marnier, Irish cream) was the coffee-lover's version of rum raisin. A standard scoop is tiny and costs $6 -- you get more bang for your buck from the 2 Scoop Waffle Cone, in which each scoop will be larger than your fist.
