We absolutely loved Butter Cafe! The owner, servers, and staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hardworking. You can tell there is so much love and care put into what they do, and it really comes through in the food and the experience. It is definitely a tight squeeze inside, but my husband and I personally loved that! We love community, and it gave the cafe such a cozy, lively, local feel. There was a wait when we went, but they work quickly and diligently and got people in pretty fast. My advice would be to come with a little patience and understanding, especially when they're busy. Good things take time, and you can see how hard everyone is working to take care of each person! There are SO many options on the menu, and honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose. Parking can also be a little harder to find on busy days, but the town is adorable, so a little walk never hurt anyone. Such a sweet place with good food and even better people. Decided to try a local place in Victor, Idaho, and we're so glad we did! This was easily one of the best breakfast spots we've been to anywhere. We were lucky enough to get seated quickly by the friendliest staff and enjoyed some absolutely delicious food. While we ate, we got to take in the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. Meanwhile, the line to get in just kept getting longer but it was easy to see why. This place is definitely a local favorite and truly a hidden gem in the area. Stopped by Butter after hearing from a family friend who has been going for a few years that it's great. We were there at 10 AM on a Monday after a holiday weekend and got sat right away. However, the weekend (when the friend group went without me) had a 2.5 hour dining experience, because everything is made in house, so there's no reheating, microwaving, etc. Things move a bit slower. I appreciate that. They warn you food may come out at varying times, but ours was pretty timely. Service was kind and warm. My Italian egg sandwich was flavorful, especially the pesto and the bread. Do yourself a favor and order the orange juice. Whether it's for a mimosa or by itself IT'S AMAZING. It does have pulp, but I am a pulp apologist, so I don't care. The positive first. Friendly staff good coffee and quick delivery of our food. . My husband loved the spicy chicken and waffles. It was big enough to split and I wish we did. The negative was the biscuits and sausage poblano gravy. The eggs were cooked well and the hash browns were crispy However the biscuit was heavy and the gravy had no flavor of poblanos or sausage. I. I did not find either in the gravy. Salt and pepper and hot sauce didn't help. I told the server and she didn't seem very open to my comments on this. I never order biscuits and gravy and was really looking forward to theirs because the description made it sound craveable. read more

Everything we had at this restaurant was fantastic. One of our favorite breakfasts from our trip to this part of the country. Our coffees, regular drip and a latte, were solid and I loved how the waitress checked multiple times if I needed a warm-up (which I of course took advantage of). The smokey hibiscus chilaquiles were delicious as was the orzo elote salad. They each had very unique combinations of flavors and filled us up so much that we didn't even need lunch. We took the brown butter monkey bread with us to go and even though it wasn't warm when we ate it, it was still very tasty. Prices were as expected and service was amazing. Everything about Butter Cafe was perfectly delightful; a shining example of warmth and hospitality in the Swan Valley. From the moment we were seated in a cozy corner booth, our server took care of us like we were her family. The pastries and butter board were phenomenal, served with homemade honey butter and jam. The homemade biscuits with poblano sausage gravy were everything you could hope for; rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The cowboy bowl smothered in sausage gravy was hearty and satisfying, with plenty left over to take home. To top it all off, our server brought out a fiery habanero hot sauce that added the perfect kick, and the Irish coffees truly hit the spot. We'll definitely be back! read more

Service was seriously above and beyond. Went at around 10am on a Thursday and was pretty packed, waited around 5 minutes for a table. We didn't want to spend too much time on breakfast but were also staying close by so this was a good option. We were told that the kitchen was pretty busy and that we should expect to spend around an hour there. We ordered the pina colada French toast, traditional pancakes, cowboy bowl for there. Then two breakfast burritos and the pork tenderloin sandwich to go for lunch in the Grand Tetons. Probably waited around 20 minutes and then they brought us out their beignets on the house for being patient. First, they were really good, we especially liked the chocolate and yuzu. Secondly, this was beyond nice because most places would not bother, especially because we didn't complain or anything. Food came out shortly after. Pina colada French toast was ok. Not a huge French toast person in the first place but love fruit flavored things and trying something different. Definitely was not a fan of the meyers rum maple syrup that came with the French toast, really strong rum flavor that threw me off. The pineapple topping was good though. The cowboy bowl was pretty good. The pork was good and loved all the things that came with it like the hashbrowns. Had the burritos and pork tenderloin sandwich later. Burritos were pretty standard and the salsa made it better. Pork tenderloin sandwich was a little dry but also waited a couple hours to eat so could be better fresh.
