I had an opportunity to visit this restaurant over the weekend for a Sunday brunch. I would say I enjoyed the brunch overall. The restaurant was a decent place with a very welcoming staff. The ambience was ok. This a place where you get food at a decent price with leftovers to take back as well. We ordered veggie omlette and benedict and waffles. The omlettes here are frittata style which I liked. The veggies blended well with the taste. The hash brown was huge. The belgian waffle was as expected. The benedict was good as well, however I felt the hollaindaise sauce could be better. The menu had lot of options, so there will be lot to choose from. Just moved into the area and went here New Years morning grateful that they were open. The food was standard diner fare, ok, large portions but nothing to write home about. The issue we had was the sticker shock. If you eat here don't order drinks... our breakfast tab was $47 for two. Coffee was $5, small OJ was $5. So two coffees and two OJ's added $20! And it was standard diner drip coffee that we passed on refills because it tasted burned. Sorry but this type of price gouging really irks me. read more

Not our first time here but wanted to support restaurants during COVID. We called and ordered over the phone at opening (7:05A), the employee that helped me was very sweet and gave her recommendations when I asked. We ordered eggs benedict, chicken/country fried steak, and 2 pancakes (total $39). Everything was pretty good and fresh but the country fried steak needed a little bit more seasoning. We added salt and pepper to both dishes. We did ask for extra crispy potatoes but neither were very crispy. The pancakes had good flavor but not super fluffy. I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here for years and everything I leave with a smile and full belly. The portion are GIANT!! And delicious I have to say though the service is my favorite aspect of the business. Heather has been waiting on me and family for years and she's just a gem. Really good breakfast. The entire dining area felt rather crowded, tables really crammed together with little space to walk between. I ordered the county benedict ... eggs benedict with country sausage topped with sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked well, plenty of runny yolks and the whites were firm. The sausage and gravy were quite tasty. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and thoroughly cooked. I wasn't asked if I wanted anything to drink besides the water I accepted (I declined coffee). They do have a senior's menu if you qualify. My granddaughter got the bear face pancake. It was completely cooked (no gooey spots) and bacon. It also had fruit on the pancake as part of the face. She was happy with it but it was way too much for a child's tummy. The menu is pretty extensive, and I'm interested in returning to see their other offerings. They have a single restroom that was clean enough. They do offer a punch card as well. Everyone who works here is prompt and attentive. We were greeted right away and sat immediately after. They had our orders correct and placed without hesitation and were always ready with flowing coffee. We were extremely impressed watching other tables being cleared as the staff wiped EACH individual item on the table down, salt shakers, sugar ramekin, etc. Their attention to detail and care for cleanliness was great to see. Solid A-Ok comfort food breakfasts abound at Patty's Eggnest. They also serve a full lunch and dinner menu which I have yet to try. However, word is they make some great stuff besides the morning faves. I am not sure if there is a Patty or why the unusual name but you immediately drawn the conclusion they are gonna offer loads of AM options when you walk through the door. It has that bustling vibe, booths everywhere, patrons shuttling in and out and wait & kitchen staff hustling to keep everything moving. It's a place where you shouldn't be surprised if that seat you are plopping into is still warm from the last patron. Weekends can require somewhat of a wait if it is later in the morning. The service has always been efficient and friendly, they know how to do busy. Their large menu takes some perusing to gather your thoughts on your selection so super hungry patrons be prepared. You may find your self second guessing all the way up to the point of ordering. I was torn, omelette or benedicts' as both come in a wide variety of choices. I knew I didn't want the more common bacon and eggs routine although it's hard to go wrong with old faithful. After giving the nod to Eggs Benedict, time to figure out which one. They offer several choices and I have had the chorizo version here before. I opted for something with avocado but I can't recall if they called it the California Benedict or something of the sort. I do know it was quite tasty and filing, loved the side hash browns too. My only quibble here is the amount of Hollandaise sauce. It was enough to stucco the side of a house. It overwhelmed the plate but I just brushed some aside. Other than that it was de-lish! The 4 of us all enjoyed our meal prior to the early AM tee time and thanks to their quick service the timing was just perfect. Patty's Eggnest is something of an institution in south Snohomish County. It's actually something of an institution in some of the more neighborhood-y parts of Seattle, too, but up here it has a bit less competition, so the locations stand out more. The one on 164th was a home base breakfast spot for me, and I took countless friends and family there. They moved that one over to 527, I think, which made me realize that there's another one on the same stretch of highway, just a little closer to Thrasher's Corner. So saddling up for a hot breakfast this morning ticked off another Patty's location for me. I think this one was here before they moved the one from 164th, but I still haven't tried the one in Mill Creek, so I'll compare the two. This one's a bit smaller, and seems to have more parking, so getting to the place feels a lot easier here. You have more people milling around the door here, though. Always a line at Patty's, even if you get here at a reasonably decent hour. And the crowds are fun to watch here for sure. There's the table of lively grandparents on a triple date, chatting merrily--they're still chatting in the parking lot when you finally pay and leave. There are the mixed bouquets of family and relatives; there are the buddies knocking back coffee and the girlfriends chatting energetically. My favorite was the young couple and their friend looking at baby pictures on somebody's phone. I thought I noticed their conversation because their friend mentioned that the kid's name was Maceo, which struck me as being really cool (even if I was the only one in the vicinity who got the reference). Turned out I noticed their conversation because everyone in Bothell could hear their friend if they listened, but that's alright. That's what that first cup of coffee does for some of us. The service here is super chipper and friendly without being phony or annoying. All the hostesses, cashiers, and servers are outgoing and clearly they know the place cold. Tables are always clean, everything's on the table in minutes. The kitchen is fast--unlike the 164th location, you can't sit at the counter and stare at the cooks, which probably enhances their ability to concentrate (it certainly would mine). The dining room is a little more packed in with furniture than the 164th, but still nice. You have to move people around like a puzzle a little bit when you're being sat, but once you're in, there's plenty of elbow room (and if you can say that with my arms, it's probably safe to say everybody's gonna fit). The plates hit and it's the comforting heavy crockery with crisp hashies and delightful scrambles and toast. Well, unless you order the oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt, which looked fine too. A big glass of orange juice and a decent cup of coffee puts you right to start the day. On your way out, maybe you notice the sign that says "all happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast." You could certainly find worse things to help make the most of a morning. read more

This location out of all the places in the area has hands down the best taste and the California Scramble has been awesome for 4 years. During the past few years I've come here never once have I had an issue and I'm finally writing a review now after what I witnessed a few weeks back. Some of the people who claim on this review that "they will never be back" enjoy eating all of their food and then complaining it was disgusting. WTF would you eat all of it if it was so unbearable your feeling sick ? Coming into the restaurant with no control of your children and demanding a 5 star service and your dressed like a wal mart special and your 500lbs. This place is legit and don't let people who whine and complain about small issues in which they've usually caused or feel entitled take you away from here. Awesome place to go for breakfast. This place is usually packed on the weekends, but I usually have been seated in 10 minutes or so. The wait staff is constantly bustling around the restaurant refilling coffee, and easily accessible if you need something. Service is quick and they ask you if you want any beverages when you sit down which is really nice. Wait staff doesn't loiter and are pretty quick touch with everything. They have a really good breakfast selection, and they've been nice enough to sub out things like eggs for hash browns for me when I requested. The pumpkin pancakes are really good and I appreciate that they offer them year round. The apple pandora french toast is also delicious. I don't think I've ever had anything here that I didn't like. There sausage is a little greasier than I prefer but nothing out of the norm, and its full of flavor. It's pretty cramped in here, and I probably wouldn't come here if you're on a strict diet, but those are really the only negative things I have to say. I always leave feeling full and happy. The wait staff isn't the gushy bubbly type, but I'm totally ok with the fast paced nice and polite ones they have here instead. I'd definitely recomend stopping in. read more

I don't go out for breakfast much, but when I do, I usually judge a place on their Eggs Benedict. Patty's serves up a tasty one; nothing incredibly special, but good and there wasn't anything left over. Their menu has some things that make me scratch my head - An omelet with gyro meat? Just when I thought to myself, "Who on Earth would order that?", the lady next to me actually did, and when it came out, it surprisingly looked good. Service can be a bit slow as this is a VERY popular place in the mornings and early afternoons, and you should plan on waiting in a line that goes outside on the weekends. read more

Pattys is a good place for breakfast or that hangover cure. They give you huge portions for a good price. The food is decent, not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. I usually get the corned beef hash or waffle and they're both solid dishes. The service is friendly but it is always uncomfortably crowded in here. I really miss the location they had in Mill Creek near Central Market. That location was huge and very clean but it closed awhile back. The location on Holman Road is also a lot cleaner than this one. Good place for families and small groups. There is usually a line and a wait on the weekends. I'm sure ll be back for that occasion when a hangover cure is needed but not really aching to come back anytime soon. read more

we normally had been going for years to Pattys, but, lately the services has gone downhill. the server seems angry and pushy to get your order in. in this case, she messed up the order and order 2 extra plates of food and insisting we pay. i was not happy about this since it was her mistake. but, decided to help her out and paid for the food anyways. not to get her into trouble for her own mistake. the pancakes didnt have the cake, they were flat and dry and the hashbrowns were to dry to eat. they eggs were on point and the coffee is always fresh. but, we had some horrible service, and it didnt help that the wait staff was speaking ill of our table, loud enough for us to hear them. how unprofessional. not sure if we will be back, since i am hoping this is a one time thing. but, hard to say, after paying over 70 dollars for 2 adults?! get it together team, you all were awesome in the beginning! read more

While u wait you can see the boys in the kitchen just working at 200 miles per hour. I hope they are getting paid good or else I would go recruit does guys for my restaurant if I had one. Yes, the ambience sucks. This is a plain ole' cafe, no view, not cozy, tables and chairs from a liquidation sale somewhere. Yes, the waiting room is tiny. Actually, there is no waiting area inside. Yes, it is confusing when you go in, you need to figure out that there is a list, and that it is not seat yourself. But... I actually prefer the food here over Maltby Cafe, to be honest. The service is faster and more genuine, and more consistent. The servings are large, and the food is excellent. When we said we were splitting something, it come out nicely split on two plates. Coffee was refilled quickly. We waited outside, where they had some chairs, and a nice little coffee pot and cups. Nice touch. So don't go for the ambience...go for a nice value and good quality. read more

Went for brunch on a Saturday. We ordered a cinnamon roll, salmon lox eggs Benedict and French toast. Pros: Everyone who worked there was very nice and offered to top up my coffee frequently. The food came very quickly. Cinnamon roll was fluffy and French toast had great texture. Cons: The hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was very runny and lacked flavor. There was also a lot of it on the plate, too much in my opinion because it weighted everything down. Coffee tasted watered down. Not all Patty's Eggnest restaurants are created equal. I went to this location on a Sunday morning after the church crowd had gotten out, which meant there was a wait. Less than 20mins for two of us to sit at their first available spot (which ended up being the counter). The line to put your name on the list was a little unclear, and patrons tried to sit themselves on multiple occasions during our wait. The inside waiting area is very small. We sat down at the counter with a clear view of where they cleared dishes. This wasn't the scenery I was hoping for while waiting for and eating my breakfast. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and some very hot coffee. We were given a few minutes to overlook the menu, which of course is the same at all locations, but their specials board boasted of a Chicago benedict. Steak instead of ham, with asparagus and hollandaise on an English muffin. I ordered this item off the specials board (dry erase) only to find out they had sold out the day before. I thought to myself "wait, it's listed on the specials board, which is dry erase. Why not erase it instead of teasing people with food you ran out of day prior?" I ended up ordering the 8oz chicken fried steak with wheat toast and scrambled eggs. The boyfriend ordered their carne asada breakfast burrito (also a special, but something they still had available.) The waitress did a pretty good job of keeping our coffee cups full. Our food came fairly quickly, and was piping hot. The scrambled eggs were more like a glob of eggs than scrambled and had an unusually strong butter flavor. The toast was actually just a single slice of toast that was cut in half and very well done. The menu boasted that the chicken fried steak would be covered in lots of gravy, but in reality it was really just barely enough. The chicken fried steak was crispy, and not overly battered. The gravy had a good southern flavor to it, and the hash browns were appropriately crispy. I opted for the smaller portion which was plenty. Overall, the food was good and I would go back. I feel the need to say that coming to this location; you're only coming for the food. The ambiance is very plain, and the patrons who visit this location treat it as such. The three of us all ordered the Eggs Benedict, however mine was the Crab Benedict. The prices here are pretty spendy and the quantities are decent. I made it halfway through my food until realizing there was eggshells throughout my entire meal... The waitress apologized and told me that the cooks in the kitchen were very fast at making the food so making a new plate for me wouldn't be an issue... I can't help but think that's what caused this issue in the first place. The waitress didn't charge me for my plate and also removed my mother's plate from the bill too. A little bummed when ordered the Ono Hawaiian breakfast with Portuguese sausage, spam, more breakfast meat I can't remember, Hawaiian roll, eggs, and they ran out of RICE! My only complaint with this one...... The proportion of meat and eggs to rice is way off. Needs to come with more rice. Service here is pretty amazing. Their kitchen staff gets kudos for the speed that they put out the food.
