After visiting a pop up at a nearby indie cafe, I decided I needed to finally stop in and check out Pancake Haus (9/13/25). Always good to see a long time spot remain in business since 1969. Well worn and comfy, like your favorite sweater or hoodie. Welcoming and enjoyed seeing a nice cross section: families, teens, couples. Variety of seating configurations. There's even a big dining area towards the back. Looks like Toastmasters meetings are held there. I had a basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and orange juice. What a local gem! Solid food with lots of heart. Every time I've come here it is families - grandparents, grandchildren, young moms and dads with their littles, teens. Truly a community staple. You might just think this is a pancake house but in it and you will find some delicious food. I always get the fish and shrimp is absolutely wonderful. It comes with a salad and a roll vegetable on the side. The waitresses are absolutely wonderful and the restaurant is clean and tidy, my friend always gets the egg Benedict. I would suggest this restaurant anyone it is absolutely wonderful and the owners are absolutely great. Thank you for having a pancake house that has some thing other than just pancakes. Went at 8:00 am on a Wed by myself. Sign said to seat myself. Was not very busy Waitress was not friendly at first and seemed very annoyed when the first thing I asked about was their gluten-free options. Perhaps it was because she didnt really seem to know which was odd since she seemed like she had worked there for a long time. She was guessing when I said "I assume the buckwheat pancakes are gluten-free" and obviously had no intention of finding out from her tone and body language. I did not feel like pressing her so skipped it. She did say that many GF customers order the Grated Potato Pancakes so I ordered those since they seemed safe. She somehow got a little friendlier as the experience went on The pancake was not that great. I tried it by itself, with salt and with syrup thinking that in theory it would be good but no. The scrambled eggs (a la cart) were just barely across the line making them just ok. Nothing here made me want to come back for "just hardly ok" food so I would say to keep looking. read more

Upon entering, noisy. Took about 5 minutes to acknowledge and seated. Hostess was less than stellar. Waitress, however, was fantastic. My coffee cup was never empty. Interior is dated, clientele seems older, a place my granny would enjoy. They do charge 1$ for a side of salsa. I wasn't told, but I saw it on my bill. Quick place to grab a late brunch. I really don't think five stars is enough damage. They ordered in the service that I got. What is the best way for me to start any morning of my life. I've never had Lindenberry preserves before, but if you order the Swedish pancakes, you'll get some meat with the butter... Instant heaven. But I'm at was perfectly portions in Cambridge by side of sourdough toast. Be sure to add lots of butter though, because I love the flavor of butter which is why bread is just simply a means of delivering it lol. I would say this is probably one of the best breakfasts that I've had in a long time I can't recommend them enough. This place is so lovely. Everyone is kind and thoughtful. They got cool window cleaner that makes lovely drawings out of scrubby scrubby soap. There are light bulb hot water containers. The whipped cream on the pancakes are so good. These are the greatest hashbrowns I have ever had. I eat a lot of hashbrowns and these are my favorite. McDonald's Dennys hashbrowns and ihop are Ok but Pancake Haus hashbrowns are in freaking sane. read more

Went in on a Sunday around 11 and we were seated up at the front booth in the corner by the windows and there were so many gnats it was disgusting. They were almost like fruit flies how big they were. I felt like all I did the entire time I sat there was kill gnats. We arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There was one server taking care of everyone, and she was efficient. Booths were strangely uncomfortable--the tables are too high and too close to the seats. I'm on the smaller side in terms of size, and can imagine many folks would not fit in those booths. Having read multiple reviews, I had an eye on a waffle and an omelette. My boyfriend wanted pancakes, so we devised a plan. I ordered the spicy Italian sausage omelet with Swiss cheese and chose the raspberry pancakes with whipped cream. My partner and I arrived at about 11:45am and had our order taken about 10 minutes later. The waitress was very nice and took our order. We waited another 40 minutes before we asked for an update on our order and we were told that they were working on it. We waited another 10 minutes before we went up and asked for the status of our order. The older, bald line cook in the back said - rather rudely, that it was being worked on - but had produced nothing to be sent out. I understand places can get busy... but, there was no line for anyone waiting to be seated. No line for people to check out and the place was only 75% full. Many people would understand our frustration if you waited for 45 minutes for your order and saw that another couple, who was seated after you - was brought their food about 20 minutes later. They were practically finished by the time we decided to leave. This was very disappointing. We will not be back. read more

This is the girl who I caretake's favorite restaurant ever so we went for "breakfast", though she has ARFID so she got her grilled cheese, fries and ranch. I, however, indulged in the best frickin' fish and chips of my life! Hostess and waitress were both wonderful and sweet! The raspberry lemonade was also so good, I loved how it wasn't too sweet, very refreshing! Tucked into an unassuming corner of the Ace Hardware parking lot and looking thoroughly kitschy inside and out, the real draw of this place is the reliably tasty food and the customizable menu. Unlike so many other breakfast places, Pancake Haus really wants to make adding pancakes--any kind you like--to your breakfast easy. They do not make the very best pancakes I've ever had, but they are good, diner pancakes and offer an appealing variety of "stuffed" pancakes, meaning pancakes with fixings mixed in (e.g. blueberries or bacon or pecans). Their omelets are a surprise standout. Fillings are wrapped up in a delicately cooked, thin layer of eggs. For a diner-like place, it is a miracle to have an omelet where the eggs haven't been browned. Their version is tender and tasty. A little on the smaller side, but still a fair value. Don't hesitate to try an omelet here if you're leaning savory. The service has been friendly and high quality each time I've been, even when they were quite slammed. My husband and I pop into the Pancake Haus a handful of times a month. On busy weekends (especially after church service) service can be a little slower, but they are very transparent about this as it's on the front of the menu. Is this the most amazing, high quality food you'll ever have? No, probably not. Most of it is off a Sysco truck. But the food is consistent good, decently priced, and the long time servers are wonderful. Kimber, for example, is an absolute delight. Always so warm and friendly! I've seen and heard her go out of her way to make something right for nearby tables. This is a great greasy spoon diner and I'm glad they've been a part of our community for so long. read more

We continue to love going to this Edmonds gem. This is a family run business that always remembers their regulars. The staff is friendly and food comes out fast. They also do a great job of keeping prices down. We try to come here most Saturdays with our family. The eggs Benedict is delicious with perfectly cooked hash browns. My son (who is 5) loves them so much he eats a full order most of the time. Today I got the ham and cheese omelette and it was stuffed with cheese and ham. They do not use pure maple syrup and do not have it, so know that coming in. However, their raspberry syrup is pretty good so there are options if you have a sweet tooth. My 5* rating is based on the expectations I have for this style of restaurant. It is very deserving of that rating when you look at what you get. Four people can eat very well for $50 with coffee/drinks. This is a great place to bring the kids because their kids breakfast (three pancakes, egg, meat choice, and a drink) is only $6. Grandchild #2 had the 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Both had apple juice. I have to say that the cooffee is 100 times better than it had been. I even told our server that I really enjoyed the coffee. He seemed pleased. We left with full stomachs and satisfied. Upon arrival we got seated within a few minutes . Took the waiter approximately 10 minutes to come grab our order , another 28! Minutes to receive our food . We order an omelet, waffle and a #3. All the portions we made as if they were kids meals. I was starving leaving . My husband still tipped 15% , and the girl up front looked annoyed . Overall lacks , customer service and good quality . This is my second time here, and still doesn't disappoint. I ordered the Lucky 7+2, which is 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, and either French toast, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, or hash browns. Today I went with French toast. The food did come out in a speedy manner and the flavor of the sausage was amazing. I do wish the French toast was a little thicker of a cut, but it was still very flavorful. Eggs and bacons cooked well. Strawberries did seem to be from a can rather than fresh, but I can overlook that. Biggest complaint is actual communication with wait time. We stood behind one couple waiting to be seated and it took about 15 minutes before they, and us, were even acknowledged. Overall wait time was 25 minutes for a table, but that's not bad for the brunch rush. Just make sure you're checking on folks that come in. read more

Most of the staff consist of teenagers, I understand that teenagers are emotional but I am not a therapist, I went to eat breakfast not listen to a teenagers life problems. What happens when you cross pleasant, entertaining employees with delicious food and reasonable prices? Pancake Haus. Sure, the interior hasn't been updated since the mid-90's, but honestly that just adds to the charm. Yes, wait times between ordering food and enjoying your food are slightly lengthy, but it's completely worth it once you dig in (and there's a head's up about the wait time alongside a plea of patience on the menu itself, so you can't say they didn't inform you!). The best part about the experience is the staff, though, as they're family run and employ local youth and family members alike, and clearly treat them all well. Everyone is friendly, kind, and genuinely seem to have a good time. My partner and I have been going here fairly regularly for Sunday brunch for the past year or so, and most of the servers know both us and our orders, which is always fun. In terms of food, come often and try as many things as possible. While we definitely have favorites (the omelettes, the waffles, and obviously the pancakes) we haven't encountered anything we didn't actually like. My current go-to's are the waffle special with a side of hash browns and country sausage, or a combo of the coconut and bacon pancakes. Side of country sausage, again, because it really is delicious. Anyway, I'll stop rambling now but please do yourself a favor and support the most wonderful local Edmond's brunch place, Pancake Haus.
