Bang bang cauliflower, fried pickles, French fries, calamari for one
    Lydia C.

Patio 03907 had some great seafood items available and was a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks to watch the sunset. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located behind the Old Village Inn, they have a great view of the river from their rooftop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a well cocktail and was pleased to pay $8, which seems lower than some other spots in the area. My group also ordered the bang bang cauliflower, calamari, fries, and fried pickles to share and enjoyed each of the items. The owner was making his rounds during our time at the restaurant and it's clear he is very passionate about what he does.

We spotted this place off of Main Street and decided to give it a try because it looked interesting. For us it ended up not being very impressive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While we had a nice view from the deck, the food and drinks were just okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the clam strip's appetizer which was a bit rubbery and disappointing. The lobster special was underwhelming. The shrimp tacos were actually pretty good.

    Margarita

Excellent! We got a margarita and a paloma and espresso martinis light and dark. For dinner we had raw oysters, cheese pizza and lobster mac and cheese. Nothing could have been better! Food and drinks were perfect! The bartenders and the owner is sooo friendly. It actually poured when we were there but it made it so much more fun! Were already planning to go back next weekend!

Food was a 10/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a pet friendly small patio which worked because I had my 11 year old French bulldog with us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner Tony was incredible! Not only was he hysterical, he truly cared about our meal and our experience. Everyone's meal was exceptional. The staff was so nice. Highly recommend.

    Lobster roll with cole slaw

Fantastic lobster roll and great coleslaw. Fast, efficient and friendly' service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just beware that you'll have bees visiting so be careful if allergic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] OK wow...editing to add that the owner came up to thank everyone for eating here, and that it was a privilege for them to host us. Old school customer service. Really nice to be appreciated by a small business owner and will gladly return on each visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good view, good food, good vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have indoor seating but their rooftop is the place to be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It overlooks water about a half mile in the distance (unfortunately there's also a large parking lot below) and trees all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their drinks are cute and we liked the blueberryade and blueberry lemon drop martini. The staff was kind and attentive; the owner gave a speech about how restaurants are built around their guests and he hopes we become regulars and then friends and he's just so grateful to us. He then came around to every table to greet us and shake hands, it was very sweet.

    Steve J.

Very nice find! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not crowded because they are known for their open air and patio and today was cloudy, cool and breezy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But inside Joanna provided excellent service and the proprietor, Tony, was great with conversation! I ordered the Haddock dinner and Denise had the burger. Both very good, as were the bloody Marys.

The seafood was below average but I enjoyed their fried fish options. Oysters were full of shards and I've had way better pretty much everywhere else. Service is decent, but maybe below average for the amount of workers they had on the floor in comparison to the amount of people that were actually dining. It's also a bit ridiculous that they haven't fixed their menu issue. There's going to be wind at the beach, maybe find a way to not have menus fly out into the ocean pretty much every 5 minutes? The menus are also laminated, so they just sit there to not rot and instead pollute the area. I suggest having some sort of hole puncher and a binder ring to give it weight and perhaps anchor it to something because the issue is getting out of hand. Not the best way to have a beach-side restaurant.

Best food in Ogunquit!…read more The haddock sandwich and chowder were fresh, filling, and flavorful. The kids' meal with haddock was also high quality and felt like "real food". Plus, the broccoli it came with was cooked so well that my kids gobbled it up. Service was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. We arrived without a reservation and were told there would be about an hour wait. The host came across as a bit snarky, although he did offer us seats at the bar, which we appreciated. After being seated, it took about 30 minutes before anyone took our order, followed by another 40 minutes before our food arrived. The bartenders were working incredibly hard and were clearly doing everything they could to keep up with the rush, so I don't fault them at all. Unfortunately, one of our meals arrived cold and was extremely over-salted. The restaurant refunded that dish without hesitation, which I appreciated, but it shouldn't have left the kitchen that way in the first place. From what we could see, the kitchen was seriously backed up and the overall operation wasn't being managed well. The staff deserved better support because they were hustling nonstop while trying to deal with unhappy customers. I hope management addresses these issues because the employees are putting in the effort. With better kitchen execution and smoother operations, this could be a much better dining experience.

I'd been coming here for at least 20 years, and in recent years it had been a favorite spot to eat outside when traveling with my dog. But now, we are not allowed to eat outside with a dog. Instead we had to order to-go and then walk down back to a 'dog area' which is a spot to the left of the building, below the parking area with one picnic table and some chairs in the woods. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we were getting eaten alive by no-seeums, which is not a nice experience when paying $100 for 1 meal with 6 scallops, 4 small pieces of fried fish, fries and slaw, an order of onion rings, a small clam chowder, and 2 beers. And $50 for a small lobster, an ear of corn, and an iced tea. I get that this is a tourist area, but $12 for a beer in a plastic cup and a $7.50 up charge for 6 scallops while being banished to a buggy spot that made eating very uncomfortable is a big no thank you for me. Crossing this place off my list, sadly. The upgrades and changes to this place are not a bonus at all. I'm sad that a place I always felt was friendly and welcoming is now overpriced and we all felt like we were being treated as second class citizens.

We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.

Gosh, you just hope you made a memorable choice for the right reasons. We did - we both felt we not only received value for our dining dollars, we felt cared for by the staff and satiated by the kitchen. People like sitting outside - so the reservations reflected that and we could only be seated inside. Was not a disappointment to be seated inside. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had a steak sandwich and my dining partner had a chicken sandwich. Both were really tasty and well prepared. We only had water to drink and that was not a problem. I feel many times if I don't order an app or a drink a server becomes less friendly. That wasn't our experience here. I don't believe in over rewarding a place - but I feel a 4.5 out of 5 is appropriate. Since I can't give that - I rounded up to 5.
