We looked all over for somewhere to eat all day... SO many places, due to Covid and/or staffing, have shut down either permanently or temporarily in Kennebunkport, Wells, and Ogunquit. Our favorites were all closed. So, we decided to walk around and sniff a good place out. That's how we found Patio 03907. Tucked away, we passed it twice before circling back around to the big blue umbrella on the main drag. (A note for tourists: PLAN for this to be a date/child-free meal; I think something that will make this a new favorite is partly the rule of no children under 14. Our children are 14, 15, and 16 so I get kids and the noise and commotion that goes with it but this isn't a place for kids... it was comfortable, lively but not loud, and the view is fantastic.) The owner was so welcoming, and the waitress cheerful on the rooftop patio, where we were brought cold drinks quickly. The strawberry margarita was fresh and robustly-poured from the upstairs bar. The prices were so reasonable that we ordered a medley of things... ALL FRESH SEAFOOD, not frozen, which was quite clear every time a new dish arrived. BangBang Shrimp, lobster bites, crisp and tender onion rings, fried calamari, clam chowder (with a portion so generous and so good that we took it home), a fisherman's platter (HUGE), and fried haddock. Can I tell you that I have never in my life seen an adequate amount of tartar sauce served with seafood meals until today? I took a picture of it and my husband and daughter thought I was taking a picture of them, I was so happy. Finally, not only *enough* but it was sooo good too! I would like to put emphasis on the fries. We never bring home fries from a meal. These were still crispy on the outside even when no longer piping hot but ALSO, they're still good from the fridge, dipped in tartar sauce and leftover coleslaw, hours later. Yes, we took home the coleslaw too (perfect base and NOT sweet, thank goodness) and doctored it up with a little ACV, blue cheese dressing, shredded onion, and dill weed. (That tangy coleslaw is our favorite French fry condiment.) I almost didn't write this review because I don't want any competition for a table when we return but THANK YOU for a great meal in a fantastic setting... we'll be back soon! read more

When we arrived the hostess saw us but didn't look at us. She whispered to the manager or owner. Then the manager/owner said "I'm sorry its a 40 minute wait and then It will be 8:40 and we won't be able to seat you and feed you before we switch over to our night menu at 9pm. I'm so sorry. My wife and I ate here during the Gilmore Girls Fan Festival that was happening in late September. While there, we were quickly seated upstairs (a great view down towards the water) near a nice heater. The staff served us quickly (and we had service from more than one person, including the owner, who was both friendly, and humorous!), and the food was VERY good. My dish had huge chunks of lobster (and enough that I could have some in every bite!), and was well worth the price. For those that don't want to eat outdoors (which as the weather turns to winter, will likely be the standard), the indoor area looked big and clean. When we arrived at Patio 03907, we were politely greeted by Janelle, who told us to sit where we wanted. The disappointing part of this experience was that the menu online was clearly NOT the menu in the restaurant. Being a vegetarian often limits the options, but I was confident that the vegetarian burger would be the option of choice only to be sadly disappointed that it was not on the current menu. Then, I spotted the tacos, in which one could add the protein of choice. I asked Janelle if instead, I could add some of the bang bang cauliflower. She checked with the cook and was told that was not an option. Then, my friend was told that she would get French fries with her meal, only to then be served cole slaw instead. Last, but certainly not least, we were excited to try the blueberry lemon cake listed on the online dessert menu, only to be told that there were no desserts at this time. The ironic part of this entire experience was that I spoke with the owner, Tony, the day before and told him I was a vegetarian and that the menu online had caught my attention for the multiple options. I wish I could find something good to say but besides the open patio/ deck atmosphere this place was rather expensive and terrible. The owner, "Tony" was so rude to our young, female waitress right in front of our table. He was demeaning, insulting and even asked her "who signs your paycheck?". It was awful to witness someone be spoken to like that. In terms of food, I should have gone with a lobster roll but tried the lobster po-boy instead and was disappointed. Minimal lobster and just not good. We had children with us and asked for bread while we waited for dinner and they said they don't offer it. However, after our food took so long, they came out with some sandwich rolls, which was helpful but why couldn't we get that when we had asked for it? Long story short, any employer who treats their staff the way we witnessed Tony speak to our server doesn't deserve our business. There are plenty of other great places to eat in this area! My dad loved his bowl of clam chowder so much he ordered more instead of getting a main dish, and they brought him out a massive entree sized bowl (and they didn't charge us extra). My husband and I had the lobster roll and it was to die for. Best roll we've had in our two weeks here hands down. Was in Ogunquit last week for a 7 day vacation and had dinner here two times, it was that good. Tony the owner is amazing and Wendy our server was just perfect. We celebrated my in-law's 49th Anniversary and Tony brought out champagne and announced the celebration to the entire restaurant, everyone clapped and my in-law's were smiling ear to ear. Now the food, it was yummy. We had for appetizers Fried Calamari, Fried Whole Belly Clams and Onion Rings. They were cooked to perfection. For dinner we had Fisherman's Platter with Whole Belly Clams, Baked Seafood Casserole, Baked Haddock and Lobster Roll. Everyone finished all the food on their plates.. And the french fries, best I have had in years. Drinks were delicious too.. highly highly recommend. Also - if you got kids or love card tricks, ask Tony to show you what he has up his sleeve. Delicious seafood! Got the whole belly clam seafood platter (with clams, shrimp, scallops, haddock, fries, coleslaw). My wife got the lobster pizza. We split a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was thick, creamy, full of clams bacon and scallions. Best we had during our week here. The fried platter was perfectly cooked. The seafood pizza was AMAZING! Also best I've had. Service was fast. They have large squirt bottle containers of ketchup and tartar sauce instead of the tiny embargo cups elsewhere. We will be back. read more

We came in for a quick dinner the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. There was ample parking because it's next to a public lot but that meant we ended up having to pay and then trek up a pretty steep hill to the restaurant. Luckily it was late enough that we only had to pay for an hour of parking which I believe was $4. The ambiance in the restaurant is clean and modern. There was lots of outdoor seating as the name of the restaurant implies. We were happy to be seated outdoors because the weather was nice but we were disappointed to have a view of a large tree as opposed to the ocean. Although based on the positioning of the building I don't know that any of the tables have an ocean view. The hostess and our waitress were very nice. An older gentleman stopped by part way through our meal to ask if everything was good and I assume he was the owner. After we ate a young girl quickly offered to clear our plates. So they get definitely points for being attentive. All that being said, the food is just ok. The batter on our scallops and my boyfriends haddock seemed to be just flour with some light seasoning to it so there was no crunch or real flavor to the seafood. The fries were tasty but they were clearly just the frozen kind that have a coating. The best tasting item we got was the clam chowder which ironically tasted more like bacon than clams and unfortunately had congealed. We were hungry after a long day though and since it was the best tasting part of our meal we didn't send it back. Overall the portion size wasn't great and the food was expensive but I guess that's to be expected when you're at a tourist destination like Ogunquit. We also didn't love that our drinks were served in plastic cups and our utensils were plastic and came in a wrapper. For a meal that cost us over $100 for just two people it would have been nice to have a normal glass an metal utensils. All in all the location is great because it's centrally located, the ambiance is good and the staff was attentive which is probably what gave this place 3 stars in our eyes instead of only 2. To be honest though, we won't be going back. There are so many other restaurants in Ogunquit that have much better food for the same prices or even less. read more

Confession time: We headed to downtown Ogunquit on a gorgeous Tuesday night in the middle of August expecting to find a table since it was mid-week. We had never been to Ogunquit before and had no idea how crowded it can get. Most of the restaurants were quoting an hour-long wait and we had one member of our party of five that was already "hangry". Then we spotted Patio 03907 in a little back parking lot and it didn't look crowded so we gave it a try. The only reason that I am not giving this restaurant five stars is that the ambiance needs a bit of work. The food was really, really good. We started with bang bang cauliflower and it was everyone's favorite thing on the menu. The pickle chips were also yummy. My son had a passion fruit mojito cocktail that was particularly good. Other items that we really enjoyed included the fish and chips (haddock) and the garden salad with salmon; both were very well done and sizable portions. The hidden gem on the menu was the cauliflower veggie burger. It didn't necessarily hold together as a burger, but it was absolutely delicious. The service was very good; out waitress was lovely and we had several table visits from the manager to make sure we had everything we needed. The building itself is a quirky little trailer-like rectangle that has garage doors that open on both sides. When we visited, the one facing the ocean was open which was very pretty. If they can improve the ambiance and flow of the entry way area, which is particularly chaotic, not very attractive, and just a tad unwelcoming, they will have a top-notch spot. Note: this restaurant does have roof-top seating, but it was sadly not open when we visited. Once that is up and running, it will be spectacular because the location is gorgeous. read more

Amazing!! Please please don't think twice about stopping in if in town! We did the most last minute unplanned lunch here and so glad we chose this spot! The food and service were both outstanding! We were in and out so efficiently within an hour as targeting for a travel / business road trip and our food and experience couldn't have been better! We were promptly sat and everything recommended was delightful and even better than described. We ordered a bowl of their clam chowder and it was not only a generous portion (we had seen it all traveling a few days around the area) but the flavor was outstanding! The sandwiches we chose although not lobster rolls were also phenomenal and super fresh: clam strip poboy and the salmon BLT I believe it was. Wish we had time to stay in town longer and give them a try for dinner or grab a drink in their upstairs patio but even without this option, this place was truly memorable and one of the better if not best experiences we had while traveling in Maine this summer! In this time where restaurants are trying to stay afloat, I hate giving a two star rating, but I could not give more. The few positives - the waitress was very nice and attentive and the upper patio offered a lovely view. However, the food left much to be desired. We ordered the bang bang cauliflower and lobster rolls. They brought all the food at once, thereby defeating the purpose of ordering an appetizer. The alcoholic beverage menu was either beer or tropical drinks - no wine or other cocktails. The lobster rolls were the biggest disappointment. Each one had perhaps 2 ounces of lobster meat and it was chewy and did not taste as good as I had hoped. And they were $28 each. Earlier in our trip we had paid less for much higher quality. While I might go back if I wanted a drink, I don't know that I would want to pay over $100 to eat there again. read more

You need to eat here!! Patio is a hidden gem. We just vacationed in New England with days in Ogunquit, Portsmouth,Rye,Hampton Beach and Portsmouth. We ate at over 11 places and agree that this place was one of our favorites. The chef cooked everything perfectly. We had clam strips, fish tacos, clam chowder, bang bang shrimp, haddock bites and fried pickles. All of it was good. The clam strips were the best we have had all week. And the service was excellent.
