Like a nice, comfortable and tasty picnic with restaurant grade service, hot food and drinks. Set back from the road, so the rooftop patio is surrounded by trees, not traffic and tourists. There is a regular indoor dinning room, too. My server deserves a callout because she was very good, and very good is superior this day and age when even high end restaurants can be understaffed or undertrained. My waitress last night was more than just pleasant and engaged. She hit all her marks on time and well. In particular, just when I was thinking of water, she came by to check in and got my water to the table quicker than expected. She kept my table cleared of clutter and waste. Seems like basic service, but it's often missing at mid-priced restaurants. 4/5 because I usually save 5 stars for destination restaurants I would go out of my way for. read more

Great atmosphere and wide variety on the menu. The owner was great to talk to and to see his pride in the place was an added bonus.

A new restaurant, we sat upstairs outside with trees around us and the beach in the distance. Friendly and welcoming staff, including the owner, and a fried seafood dominant menu. Drinks were tropically themed and tasty, not too sweet, and with an added punch of a dark rum shooter on top for an extra $1.50. We had the Bahama Mama and the rum punch, good choices. The clam chowder was tasty, with bacon added, but a bit thin compared to typical New England style. The fried clam appetizer was on the small side, pricey for the portion, and not as flavorful as we had hoped. The excellent, juicy fried oyster dinner was a decent portion and delicious, although french fries were more plentiful than the main item. All in all, 3.5 stars, but I am rounding up since dining out during this COVID summer time is tough and I appreciate all places that stay open and all workers making it possible to do so. read more

Had a horrible experience here today. We had a party of 10, including an elderly person with mobility issues, so we called beforehand and asked if they had tables open and could accommodate us. The man on the phone (I believe his name was Patrick) assured us this would not be a problem and there would be just a 20 minute wait. Myself and a few others were dropped off at the front while the rest of my party went to park the cars. When we approached the podium at the entrance to the restaurant, we stated that we had just called and that they were able to accommodate us. To my disbelief, the manager, who was at the podium, responded "oh, who told you that so I can fire them?" While the manager went looked for said person, the owner, Tony, arrived and we explained our situation to him once more. He offered us 4 separate tables on the side patio near the stairs since all the tables inside were "spoken for," although many were empty. Some tables were circular and some were square. Not ideal, but whatever. As we were trying to maneuver the tables into position, a lovely server popped her head out and asked if we would like to sit inside, where they can push tables together so we can sit together. We accepted the offer, although we were apprehensive considering our encounter with the manager. A few minutes went by and the manager makes his way over to our area. He told one of the women in our party to stop "accosting" his servers and we were lucky to even be sitting here since "we did this for you as a courtesy," then stormed off. I couldn't believe my ears. A manager talking to a patron like that, let alone a woman, is completely unacceptable. Since it was a Sunday, the kitchen closed at 7:30. We arrived at 6:45, thinking we would have enough time to order our food, considering it didn't look very busy. The manager and the owner kept incessantly reminding us that the kitchen was closing. If we hadn't had the encounters with the manager, we would have ordered with time to spare. Nonetheless, we got our orders in before 7:30. As we were waiting I noticed the tables inside, the ones the server offered to us, were still empty. Sigh. The food was nothing to write home about, mostly fried food that was too overpriced. We were the last people to leave the restaurant, and the manager and owner were no where to be seen, presumably having left for the night. Overall, besides the kindness of the servers and the beautiful weather, this was an awful experience. I have never met a manager that talks to his patrons in such a tone. Next time, we'll just give money to a business that treats us with respect and kindness. read more

My first issue with this restaurant is that the grumpy old man at the door wouldn't allow my stroller in. He told me to use a highchair, my 3 month old can't sit up thanks. So I literally went back to the car and got my car seat and plopped my daughter on their dirty ground. Why did I bother even eating here you ask? Well because, a plus on their side, they are one of the few places open between 3-4, everywhere else was "closed to switch over to dinner". The food was fine, a little pricey to eat with plastic forks. Which I don't get, the place is very modern and the prices are on the more upscale end so I'm not sure why we are eating off disposable plates. We aren't right by the beach, this isn't a shack seems a little like the place isn't quite sure what it wants to be. Has a tiki bar open air menu type, but the look and vibe is more modern hip. Overall it was fine but I'm still ticked off that places advertising how open to everyone they are, clearly don't want people with children there as again they want me to leave a $1200 stroller outside and have my 3 month old flop over. I had the pleasure of going here twice for lunch sitting up at the bar on the deck. Super friendly staff both times they were the best part. Food was pretty good - the whole belly fried clams were awesome and I agree with the bartender who said their tartar sauce is on point. I wasn't as bowled over with their lobster roll it was pretty plain jane, but not skimpy which I appreciated. Definitely a great spot to grab bar food and a drink in a cool beachside atmosphere. Went for lunch yesterday with two friends. It's a great location, with beautiful views of the harbor from the second floor. The waitstaff is very attentive and food came right out. I had the fish haddock sandwich with fries. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy with a nice side of blue cheese. My friend had the scallop po boy sandwich which looked amazing and he said it was great too. I kinda wished they had coffee but it is a lunch /dinner spot so I see why they don't have coffee. My husband and I just had afternoon drinks at the upstairs bar, Cheryl was our bartender and was AWESOME! Cheryl has the best personality and makes great conversation. Added bonus, she also makes fantastic drinks. The Blueberry Lemonade is a nice refreshing summer drink and goes down really easy, so be careful. The Rum Punch was another great drink and they serve Allagash beer on tap which is great. We also ordered Calamari with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce which was a perfect snack. In April on a casual walk I stumbled upon this place due to the construction. Tony, the owner, spotted us checking it out and immediately invited us in for a tour. Definitely disappointed... it looks so pretty very modern and new, the owner told us it was opened in 2018. We ordered drinks and my husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered Patron margarita. His drink was served in a nice actinic glass and mine was served in a cheap plastic glass. I watched the bartender/ owner make our drinks and he used Hornitos tequila- not cool, for deco round my husband ordered a whiskey and fresh lime and I watched the bartender/ owner squeezing a lemon because he was struggling to take the lime out of a jar. This place caught our eye because of the upstairs deck. We were looking for a spot for some late afternoon cocktails before we went to dinner. Looked like a fun atmosphere and it didn't disappoint. Sat upstairs and enjoyed the open air and partial view of the river and ocean. Owner Tony who was bartending kept us laughing. All the employees were great and really seemed to enjoy the customers and working there. Tony made some great Long Island iced teas for me and margaritas for my wife. We didn't eat there because already had dinner reservations somewhere else. We returned the next day after spending the day at the beach and were greeted immediately by owner Tony and manager HeatherLee who remembered us from the day before. We ordered the Bang Bang cauliflower and some cocktails. Both my wife and I agreed it was hands down the best Bang Bang cauliflower we ever had, and we order it at every restaurant that has it. We will be back and will try some other menu items next time. I highly recommend stopping by next time you are in Ogunquit. Grab some cocktails, some food and enjoy. What a great experience! Came to The Patio on a Thursday evening with a party of 7, was greeted and seated quickly by the Owner, Tony. Drinks were flowing, food was amazing - we ordered the bang bang shrimp, chicken fingers, onion rings, calamari and a sampler platter as a starter. Everyone loved the appetizers - next we ordered 3 pizzas - lobster, white clam and a shrimp and broccoli -all came out perfectly crisp and hot - highly recommended...next we ordered the lobster mac n cheese (table favorite), fried chicken dinners and finished the meal with deep fried oreos, fried dough and cheesecake! We were so...looking forward to trying a new resteraunt in Ogunquit having vacationed for 30 years at the Anchorage by the Sea . We arrived at the opening at 11:30am as we had a big party . We were immediately met by the owner who had an attitude about the size of our family ( even though there was literally no-one in the resteraunt ) . He was unsure he could accommodate us and he actually sat the family behind us as he continued to argue with his staff if they could seat us. I told him we would be more than willing to sit at different tables but after waiting at least 15 minutes and observing his attitude we decided to leave as we felt not welcomed in his establishment . His response, "ill take it up with my staff at the next staff meeting". I said its not the staff thats the issue , its your attitude and he said "I was being funny , I am the owner ". I realize they may have been short staffed , but there was literally no-one in the place . What owner treats customers this way ? Well you just missed out on the 600$ we spent at the Crew up the street !!! read more
