Fries

We had lunch at Franks today. Small menu but wow they do everything right! Smashburgers, hotdogs, onion rings, fries and shakes. I had a cony dog with cheese, onion rings and fries. Everything was yummy and I wish I had a smashburger also. They looked so good. Its a small dining room maybe six tables and some window bar height seats. You order and pay at the counter. Prices are very reasonable. Parking is a little tough but worth it. Cant wait to come back.

This is for the south berwick location: Drove down on a rainy Sunday on an adventure to try this burger. So close to a 5: Pros: Super friendly service Decently priced I love the onions rings they were different and I enjoyed that. Don't expect the ones with lots of batter but they were great! Now the star of the show was the burger! Smash burger at its finest. I also got grilled onions on it and such a good choice. Cons: The fries were average and mine were a little cold. I like them cooked a bit longer. The hot dog was mediocre. Overall worth a spot for the burger alone!

Incredibly inexpensive, delicious burgers and fries. "Dirty" style is nearly as good as the famed "animal" style from In-N-Out Burger. Friendly staff as well. A hidden gem in a small town.

We tried their smash burgers and fries. Prices were very affordable and both were delicious. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

How big are burgers? Order a single or double?

Single is enough with all toppings, plain single might not be enough. Double plain or topped is definitely enough food.

The staff were very pleasant and the double cheeseburger "dirty" was excellent.

They also have locations in South Berwick and Exeter, NH. They serve up burgers, hot dogs, homemade onion rings, crinkle cut fries, chili cheese fries, shakes, and cold drinks (Coke products) from the cooler. Burgers, hot dogs, and fries can be made dirty style for $1.25 more which is house sauce and sauteed onions. The prices here seem fair. The place is order at the counter and there is table seating with blue metal chairs and booth back seats and high top tables with stools, spread out more than their other locations, Exeter seating area is cramped. I made two visits to Lee Frank's over the past two weeks. On the visit last week, I ordered a loaded (not dirty) Cheeseburger ($6.25 plus tax), Red Baron Hot Dog ($4.75 plus tax), Chili Cheese Fries ($5.50 plus tax), and a Special Tropical Punch Shake ($5.50 plus tax). My food was ready in about 10 minutes after ordering and brought out by staff on a tray. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Dirty Style Cheeseburger ($7.50 plus tax) and Dirty Style Fries ($4.75 plus tax), this time through the Toast app. My order was all set in about 7 minutes. I enjoyed my food in shop both times. The Red Baron Dog was loaded with red cabbage & brown mustard over grilled hot dog which had a snap to the bite in a soft hot dog bun. The Cheeseburger was grilled well done beef patty with melted American cheese with plenty of mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles on a soft bun. The chili cheese fries had golden crinkle cut fries topped with cheese sauce and meat chili. The tropical punch shake was thick and sweet, which was a vanilla shake mixed with Hawaiian Punch Polar Blast, topped with green jimmies. The dirty style loaded cheeseburger and dirty style fries were both very messy and the addition of the house sauce and the sweet sauteed onions is a real game changer. Overall, the greasy goodness of Lee Frank's was very tasty and messy each time and worth the drive!

The milk shake was yummy I would go again in hopes of a double cheeseburger

The chili dog is SO good and the chili itself deserves its own fan club honestly. Everything tastes fresh, messy in the best way, and exactly what you want from a retro burger spot. The vibe is half the fun too -- I swear they added even more games since the last time I came. It feels like a hidden little retro hangout where you can eat comfort food and actually have fun while you're there. Definitely one of those places that becomes a regular spot fast. Total hit every single time.

Burger patties are wicked thin, fries are just some plain, frozen crap and the shake had a bizarre cookie coating around the top. Not the edge/rim, the whole like, 1/4 top of the cup was coated in crumbs.. which got everywhere and made it inedible and impossible to put in a cup holder if you wanted to bring it home with you. Just so weird. It's also just gross in there in general. To be honest, all of that would be forgivable if the staff were at least the slightest bit nice. They are all so incredibly rude. They are young and I get that Covid ruined their formidable socialization years, but it's actually crazy how awful they are. Can't even get them to crack a smile or a "thank you". Sorry, not to be a boomer, but if I'm spending 55 bucks on two burgers some fries and a shake, I'd like some good customer service. Definitely save your money. There are lots of other options in the area.

The french fries alone are why I love the place. They taste like they chopped a potato right there and tossed it into the frier. I'm sick of places that use the gross coated fries, Gilley's thankfully does not do that! It's a small little diner that's been around forever with only a few parking spots (like three or four) in a busy area of Portsmouth. The hours are a little wacky but it's always worth it. The fried egg and cheese and the grilled cheese are made about as perfectly as one could hope. Very greasy spoon diner type of grub. Reading some of the one star reviews, they seem to come from disgruntled people who have a weird agenda who also don't tip and are proud to mention it in their review... and this is the only place they've reviewed? Ignore them and just know the food is good. Only downside - It is cramped inside the little space. There are only a few (six?) stools inside - which is fine if the place isn't busy. I'd more recommend getting the food to go.

I think it is good after a night out kind of food, if you get what I mean. Simple, quick, and greasy. Now, I will say - I went with a large group of people one night after going on the harbor cruise and there was only one guy working. That man was the order taker, cashier, and cook, and everything else in between; he did a great job as far as handling the orders and getting the food cooked and out the door quickly, so kudos to him. Menu consists of burgers, hot dogs, fries, and some miscellaneous other items - again, very simple. Our group got a mixture of cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and fries - some "cheesy", others regular. I got a cheeseburger and regular fries. It was mediocre. Like I said, probably good after a night out food but for me, I it wasn't great.

They've recently instituted a 4 course lobster bake, which we have yet to try. The staff are still lovely, the service is good and the food is excellent. They're one of the best at making fried seafood. I had the whole belly clams and scallops today and they were cooked perfectly, with accompanying crispy fries. Even the coleslaw was great. Didn't have the chowder today, but it's reliably excellent. The only negative is the use of disposables plates, cups and utensils. The combination of food and ambience makes Fisherman's Catch a not to be missed restaurant. It's usually our first meal after arriving in Ogunquit. For the comb

I mean come on, 35.99$ for a lobster roll!!?!? And not only that but it was super small. Literally 3 bites and it was gone and I was still hungry. It didn't even come with fries, just a small bag of chips and a quarter of a pickle. I would understand 25$ because we're eating out but 35.99$ is highway robbery. Thank God I opted for adding bacon to the lobster roll bc it made it seem a tiny bit bigger but for 36$ I expected double the size and a side of fries. I doubt there was a lb of lobster on it and if there was, it was weighed down by the mayo.
