The food and service were very good. It's a very nice, simple place to pop into any day of the week.

Came for dinner our first night in Bend. Calamari came out blue and pale. Like it hadn't been fried enough. Hostess who dropped it at table said "those are the tentacles" and walked off. Finally got them sent back since it tasted off and undercooked only to wait 30 mins to receive basically exact same plate. Kitchen screwed up two of our three entrees, and basically garlic bread was the saving grace for the meal. We did receive a discount but won't return. One of my rules while traveling is no eating at chains. However, we tried to eat lunch at 2 other establishments nearby, and walked out of both due to abysmal service. We felt defeated and decided to stick to what we knew. We've been to Pastini back home a ton of times, and this menu was slightly different, but still had the staples. We walked in, sat down and were concerned we were not going to receive prompt service as our server seemed busy. However, she turned our day around. Julie rushed our order after hearing about our previous experiences, and our food came out super quick & perfectly made. I got food in 7 minutes after ordering. And the macaroni had the best aged cheese. And the decoration is very welcoming. And I only waited 12 seconds for service. So I think this restaurant is 5 stars! read more

We stopped in here on our road trip home from a long road tripping vacation through multiple states. We were seated immediately by a smiling young lady, the place was esthetically pleasing with modern clean decor... lighted oil candle on each table gave it a nicer feel! I ordered a coke, the pesto pasta and garlic bread and Dave ordered a pasta with tomato sauce and fennel sausage in it, and a maple whisky sour drink... We both loved our meals, and the friendly conversation provided by both waiter men! The waiters really elevated the dining experience and we both agreed they were top notch and would go back next time we're visiting Bend, Oregon. Loved it! Sat outside, off the river with a great breeze listening to music from the amphitheater... Service was good, attentive but not smothering. Appetizer of mozzarella sticks was quick and perfectly sized...although we are still waiting for silverware! Main pasta courses were delicious-the Fussili Ala Roma was great!! I ate it all, when I normally box half for take away. (I would love to try it with a different noodle someday, perhaps a nice rigatoni?) My dining partner Fussili with asparagus/lemon cream, which she demolished, much to my amazement. Finished with the tiramisu, a perfectly sized portion for sharing. Bottom line- will go again. They do have a sign to limit your stay to 90 minutes but that is because they are located near the amphitheater and you can hear the performers from their location so they want to give everyone the opportunity to listen and dine. Looking for a good Italian place? If you are down by the Old Mill district then look no further. Pastini is a pretty solid restaurant with lots of pasta dishes. They have meat, vegetarian and even vegan options. Additionally, they have a number of ways to customize your dish. They also have a limited bar where you can get mixed drinks, local/national beers and wine. Just know that if you are here during the spring/summer, you might want to call ahead as it can get pretty busy and the wait times can be fairly long. read more

We go often but during our most recent visit as we waited to check in, the manager was cashing out a customer. I didn't hear the conversation but the customer swore at the manager for taking too much time. The manager handled it greatly and told the customer not to come back. No big deal to us but the manager did apologize for us witnessing the exchange. He came around to our table and again apologized. Again no big deal. When we paid our bill we learned that he paid for our caprice salad. I thanked him on the way out. I thought it was a nice gesture and was a pleasant surprise. read more

This was a big disappointment. From the server who was unfriendly and seemed to be rushed, to the poor ambiance of the empty restaurant, to the poor food quality. My soup was room temperature and I had to wait what felt like forever for the waitress to come around again so I could provide the feedback and send it back. I was appalled by her response. I said "I'm sorry but my soup is cold". She didn't apologize, or offer to get me another bowl. Instead she asked "oh, would you like me to get another bowl?" I said "well, yes please, I'd like hot soup". When she returned with my soup, it was clear that they did not serve me a new bowl, but heated my bowl up in the microwave. My friend was equally disappointed with her meal and service as well. I will not be returning to this place. Don't waste your money. read more

Hearty Italian food that is filling, satisfying and pretty tasty. Regretting only eating here twice before moving out of the area as I did find it pretty good. The garlic bread and ravioli is what I had both times, enjoyed it so much the first time I did a replay the second. Did not plan to move away after a year and a half but life happens and a better opportunity presented itself somewhere else. This spot has a very nice view, outside next to the water, heat lamps next to your table so if your cold your able to get some warmth, distance between the tables allow you to not to have your mask on once you sit down. Visiting Bend for a few days and tried various restaurants and found Pastini to be absolutely terrific. Pleasant out door seating overlooking a concert venue playing wonderful music. Service was attentive and excellent. Choices of pasta dishes on the menu were eclectic and different. Food was prepared and brought to the table piping hot. The salad was fresh and huge with the just the right amount of homemade dressing. Highly recommend Pastini as it is not your usual red sauce restaurant. read more

I generally avoid places that feel too commercial or like a chain and didn't give this place a chance early enough. They're pasta was fantastic! This is no Olive Garden weirdness (apologies if that's your favorite place), this is soo much better! Customer service was on point, even with Covid things they are dealing with.
