Corn Beef Hash with eggs over easy and French toast with sausage and scrambled eggs

Nice diner which is located in a shopping complex. Went for breakfast with a cousin that lives a few mins away and was great typical diner vibes and food. Good and place was good!

Where to go to eat? We can't agree on a place! Is there any place we can all agree on? Pastels. It's a great diner that has been here for years. It's clean, food is great, the selection is typically vast for a diner, and the service is spectacular! The seating is cozy and it is smaller than your usual diner. There is minimal signage outside, so, unless you're specifically looking for it, it's easy to miss. We've never had a bad meal here and the soups change regularly. This is a perfect diner if you're expecting a diner. Remember to tip well.

I'm writing this review while sitting in this restaurant. I've written a review for this restaurant before but my experience changed today for a simple comment that shouldn't have been said. Today, Saturday, November 7th, 2020 there was an older man that was being taken out by paramedics next door as the servers were watching the older server said "it was probably at the Indian restaurant. They probably poisoned him." I looked at my mother in shock and asked "Did she say that?" We were both shocked we almost left. The only reason why we didn't leave was because our food was almost done and we were hungry. This is the last time we are coming here. We just can't look at this place the same way anymore.

No complaints here. French toast deluxe was really good, got it with eggs over easy and sausage. Morning Quesadilla was also really good. Service was good, will definitely come back

So much to say for such a little place! Absolutely love the family feel in this diner; everyone knows everyone and the service is amazing! The food is always perfect! I find myself here several times a week!

Great little place if you're looking for a cheap & casual dinner. Staff makes you feel at home and the food is always comforting.

The smell of the Indian Restaurant next door permeating the restaurant left me uncomfortable.

Decent food at diner prices. Nothing to write home about. Just fine if you want a basic sandwich or a non fancy breakfast.

Do you have breakfast egg bacon and cheese sandwich to go?

Not unless you call it in and just pick up. More of a sit down diner, but they're pretty fast

If that's your thing, then 4+ stars! Will also give a big thumbs up to the decor -- loved what was on the walls and the floors looked like they'd recently been redone. Various dishes our group had included a breakfast sandwich with sausage; an omelette, which was probably the healthiest option of what folks got; a cheeseburger; someone else got a French dip kind of sandwich. French fries were fought over -- so also a thumbs up for them. Again, I was the outlier in our group and in other reviews so I do plan to return to give it another chance. Check out the menu and other reviews and maybe you'll give it four or more stars!

It had been awesome in the past however the last two times it was inedible....there were 9 in my party and 3 of us ordered it. Needless to say, we left the slop in our plate. ALSO, they do not have bottled water. The water tasted and smelled like fish. I have never been to a food establishment that does not have bottled water of any kind. Any brand would have been fine. The service was good but Im not going to say there were any happy faces or joyful people working there. The outside needs a little face-lift. Knowing my customers were eating on rusty tables would drive me nuts. The place looks sad.

The space itself is spectacular, and the views are absolutely magnificent; definitely a beautiful way to start the evening. We were seated immediately, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the service felt a little off throughout the night. The servers did their job, but they weren't particularly attentive or especially friendly, which took away from the overall experience. We both ordered the three-course meal from the Cherry Blossom Spring Menu. My wife had a non-alcoholic drink that she loved, while I ordered the Blueskin's Bounce, a rye cocktail with cherry liqueur. My drink was just okay. For her meal, she ordered the local burrata, the Chilean sea bass, and the black sesame cheesecake. She really enjoyed the sea bass, but the cheesecake was disappointing. I had the tuna crudo, the cherry-glazed duck breast, and the cherry blossom panna cotta. Unfortunately, the duck was extremely tough, almost impossible to cut or chew, and the panna cotta was bland and forgettable. Overall, despite the stunning atmosphere and views, the food and service did not live up to expectations, especially for a birthday dinner. Sadly, I wouldn't return.
