Went on Yelp and saw at the sunrise diner got a 4.6 so I thought it would be a great place to have a late breakfast. I ordered the crab eggs Benedict. It was probably the worst eggs Benedict I've ever had. They chopped up some type of crab and mayo and laid it on. I'd say about 2 to 3 inches thick right under the poached egg.. With the amount of un tasty crab meat packed in the eggs Benedict you could've spackled my living room as well as bathroom wall. Being a wheelchair user I needed to use the men's room. As I ventured to the back of a restaurant looking for the men's room, I asked one of the waitresses where it was, she had to push back one of the booths so I could fit through to the men's room. When I got there, the door was too narrow, so I turned and looked at the women's room and was able to get in, but could not close the door. So where it says this place is accessible. It is not accessible. Gotta say I'm a little surprised of the score that this got especially being in Westchester. read more

Love how charming the whole spot is, affordable, everything you want in a diner that's now so rare to find. Great eggs, killer omelettes, bacon as you ask for it (just completely cooked but not crumbly) fresh squeezed OJ, great French toast and good strong coffee. Nice folks here. This little tiny nook-like corner Diner, was a deliciously inventive delight! On my way through for business meetings I stopped for some late A.M. breakfast take-out: sandwiches and coffee. At the outset I though they may be sold out. NOPE! The coffee was strong. The sandwich was loaded (high quality eggs, cheeses, herbs) and hot. The take-out staff and interior seating area, were prime and the women very, very kind! The menu has lots of options for such a small corner Diner. It was surprising. The kitchen cooks fast + accurately. Salads, crab cakes, wraps, omelettes and egg-wiches, as well as morning plates are PHENOMENAL! Plenty of indoor seats and outdoor spots to sit and catch a breath. People wait hours in lines to eat at Westchester and Putnam counties' trendy breakfast/lunch spots while being completely unaware of the Sunrise Diner, an unpretentious gem in Somers. Owner Elizabeth and wait-staffer Angie have made a warm, welcoming, and friendly place to enjoy delicious food creatively made and presented by an amazing kitchen staff. The crab cakes benedict and the huevos rancheros are to die for! As are the pancakes, waffles, and everything else on the menu. I share this information with you knowing that it might make it harder for me to get a seat in my favorite local restaurant, but Elizabeth and her staff deserve to benefit from what they've built. Kind of an oddball location in a strip mall. I sat at the counter so service was always at the ready. I had my usual breakfast order, Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Everything was good but not so great as to warrant a trip back here from home. If I'm ever in the neighborhood and in need of a quick meal, I'll be sure to stop in again. read more

Small diner innocuously located in a strip mall so it might escape your attention, but definitely worthy of a try if you are looking for low key atmosphere and really fresh food. I came in for pancakes but ordered the quinoa and rice bowl. Served with fresh cooked spinach, ripe avocado and perfectly poached eggs. Someone in the kitchen knows how to prepare. Dug right in so didn't snap a picture, but presentation wa nice (for a quinoa bowl). This place doesn't have flash or a scene like some larger diners but makes up in value, service and freshness. Menu is diverse (Challah French Toast, Huevos Rancheros to the aforesaid Quinoa bowl). Seems to be a Mom/Pop operation. Waitress (owner) seemed to be cleaning/organizing at every moment. reincarnated old eatery, very clean, and ready for business,warm greeting, nice menu made it hard to decide. i asked about the eggs beny with crab cakes "are they frozen reply NO is it real crab or the fake stuff reply NO and no bread used"so decision over we will take 2 orders. it was as real as could be, and as thick a pile as if you just ordered cakes alone. eggs done to perfection (soft) could have used a bit more sauce, muffin toasted just right and home fries cooked just right. i beleive there may have been a bit of error with the online price and what was charged, but for the value of what we received i did not question it. dont miss this place, hope to see you there soon read more

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning . This diner has alot of great choices on the menu, including some vegan options. The waitress was very accommodating and provided excellent tableside service. The avocado toast was excellent as were the home fries. I love this new Diner and Owner. Menu is wonderful.Everything is delicious. I particularly enjoy the home made ice cream, the passion fruit and coconut is to die for. A little touch of Spanish food is always welcome to me. I come for breakfast , lunch or dinner and food is always hot and made to order. Waitress is always pleasant and attentive as is the Owner. Amazing little breakfast/lunch jem, small unassuming spot that does breakfast right. My wife and I have been frequenting this place for breakfast, and everything we have ordered has been fantastic. The different benedicts have been my go to, and the belgian waffles my wife has ordered have been huge and fluffy. I can tell they are understaffed but they really try to stay on top of everything, and have been apologetic when things move a little slow, but it has always been worth the wait. Have yet to try their lunch offerings, but can 100% say the breakfast is worth it. read more

For crab cake fans these are the best crab cakes ever, all crab meat. Had to wait a bit since everything is made fresh, so worth the wait. This cafe is a gem! These days I generally order take-out, but I've also dined inside recently. Everything I've ordered, and I've ordered plenty, is simply perfection. I love what the owner does with eggs, especially her huevos rancheros and veggie frittata. The decaf is unusually good (that's important to me) and the bacon beautifully crisp.
