A tremendous menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is a classic diner both clean and friendly. This is another go to when I'm in town. They are a good Door Dash option if needed. I really enjoy their California Breakfast Burrito, Reuben and Bread pudding. I like the bread pudding so much I made it breakfast once. A little guilty pleasure of mine. Westchester Diner is a mega diner with an extensive menu that has just about everything you could want. They're under new management, but since this was my first time here, I can't compare it to before. That said, I thought the food was great, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very welcoming. Service was quick, and the waiters checked on us regularly. The wings were fantastic especially for a diner. I was really impressed! My only small complaint is that I wish the waiter had mentioned how large the side of fries would be. I ended up with a full plate, which was way more than I needed. THANK GOD they opened DD Diner in Ossining, WAY WAY better and cheaper. So funny when you walk in and you're look at the TV and you see the owner promoting the business with another guy that he himself closed a bunch of Restaurants. Some of the reviews are years old and the diner has been completely redone and things are much better. I've been here twice in the past year to meet up with friends and it's a good diner. This place 'supposedly' changed hands a few months back (or at least that was what they were promoting). Look, this is a tough call because this could just as easily be a rightful 4-star! This is no diner, this is a regular restaurant and their prices reflect that! I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner in recent past and I don't recall ever experiencing a problem as their food really is quite good (they really like to heap on the fries!), but you're going to spend money to sit in a diner with televisions coming at you from every direction, listening to loud obnoxious people and having to request a lot of things (just from my observation). Their turkey dinner and fried chicken are to die for, but way over-priced! I think my turkey dinner was $31 and a cup of soup (like in a coffee cup!) was $6.95! I never let price dictate where I dine but sometimes things are so ridiculously high you just have to pass. By the way, lousy coffee. Friendly and understanding servers! read more

We first came here for breakfast and it was awesome so we came back for dinner and we were equally impressed. We were hesitant due to the 3 star rating but that must be prior to the new owners because the food flavors were much better than a 4 star deli we went to the day before several towns away. The matzoh ball soup far exceeded the delis. For breakfast we had two different Mexican offerings. Both quite good. For dinner I had the turkey dinner and husband had the truffle burger. My dish could have served several people so looking forward to the leftovers. We were told by a patron not to miss the cheesecake. My husband ordered that and is was light and creamy. My parents and I swung by for lunch this past weekend and wow... we were completely blown away by how expensive this place has become. The chicken parm costs more than the chicken parm from my favorite authentic Italian restaurant in Bronxville, which is typically an expensive town! The chicken noodle soup was good, but $8 for a cup?! WHOA! I got a toasted bagel with butter which was $3.79 and wasn't very good. My mom got the BLT and it looked pretty good and was a nice portion. After hearing some good things about the new ownership and menu, we gave it another try and wow! All of food was spectacular. The salad was fresh and the quesadilla was one of the best I've had. The new ownership has turned the diner experience around 180 degrees. We had the meatloaf that was served with a sherry mushroom caramelized onion gravy with mashed potatoes and crisp broccoli . Fairly empty restaurant, fully staffed, no apparent explanation as to why the food was so bad. We ordered normal breakfast staples: eggs and home fries, western omelette, pancakes, coffee. All awful. We should have stayed home and cooked because our food tastes better. The staff was attentive and polite and our food came out quick. But man, the food and the coffee were terrible. And the coffee mugs are super dingy and way past their time to be thrown out. There are other much better options for breakfast in Peekskill, like the Peekskill coffee house and Fuhgettaboudit. We were looking for a diner nostalgia and sit-down atmosphere, but it was not worth it because of the bland food. The waitress Aura was super helpful and nice, we went there the day before and the waiter was not the best, our order was all wrong so we were happy to see a different server the second day. New owner (also owns Pleasantville Coach Diner) has taken over here. The menu has been refreshed and simplified, and should make it easier for the kitchen to execute well. They have added some tasty treats in the milkshake category (similar to Pleasantville) that should be a hit for the children and late night arrivals. Emphasis has been placed on burgers and comfort foods...more "dinerish" The interior has been cleaned and brightened up, but no major renovations. Still convenient to Route 9 with plenty of private parking. Our service was prompt and friendly, and our breakfast spot on - crispy bacon was crispy, the omelette was not drowned in cooking oil, and the coffee was above average.
