Wow! Where do I begin! This place exceeded expectations definitely! Upon sitting down, we were immediately greeted by our server, Maxwell. He was very sweet, very informative, and most importantly, honest! He wasn't sure what was in one of the cocktails because the ingredients recently changed, so instead of making something up, he went out of his way to go find out exactly what was in it! This was important to me because I've been to places where the servers either told me they don't know or they don't even offer to find the ingredients. For our appetizer, we ordered wings which came on the bone. We did request only the drumsticks, which they were able to accommodate. These wings were absolutely delicious, probably top five wings that I've ever had! We also ordered the chicken egg rolls, these were good as well, the dip that came with it was super delicious! For entrees, we ordered the mac & cheese, and the rack of ribs. Holy cow both were SO GOOD! The ribs melted in your mouth! The Mac and cheese was really good as well! For dessert we ordered the devils food chocolate cake and oooo my goodness how AMAZING! We also got 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. For cocktails we ordered a Guinness and the Tropical Storm. The tropical storm drink has banana liqueur which I loved but it's very strong so make sure u like banana! Overall, I cannot wait to return to this place again! Had a nice dinner at Table 9. I ordered the penne vodka with shrimp, the pasta itself was tasty, but for a $10 upcharge, getting just 5 shrimp made the dish feel a bit overpriced at $29. The service and Ambiance were good. Everyone was friendly and attentive. To me that goes a long way. I wish I could say the same about the food. I am not sure if this review is a fluke as this was my first time there, but certainly do not plan on spending $130 ish (after tip) to find out The crab cake Hoagie was not good. It wasn't even on a Hoagie, it was on a roll. Not sure why they added a combination of bacon, avocado and cheese to it. There was nothing good about that sandwich, not the crab or even the remoulade. The Parmesan crusted chicken was fine. It lacked flavor depth. It was just a lot of the same sauce over everything. The chicken crust wasn't very special but cook on the chicken was great. The kids nuggets had a tasty tempura batter. The inside was overcooked / dry, but the outer crust was fantastic. With that being said, the place was packed on a Saturday night. I have a problem with most Westchester food, while others don't. So maybe I'm the problem. If you like most Westchester restaurants, then I think you will like table 9 too. Such a welcoming, homey diner-like spot that reminds me of City Limits in White Plains. Everybody from all walks of life comes here, from army vets to families to firemen to couples on dates. ALWAYS a great experience....until this visit. We ordered 3 orders of Parmesan crusted chicken, a shrimp and scallop combo, and a salad (which we requested to share). After placing the order the server came back and asked "Do you want one portion of the shrimp and one portion of the scallops?" In all the times we've visited, there has never been such a bizarre miscommunication when there's a "shrimp and scallops" combo on the menu. We waited maybe 20 minutes for the food and the salad never came. When our meals were served we let the server know that we never received the salad, she said "let me go grab that" we let her know we ordered it as an appetizer and we're met with a "I assumed that you were going to share it with your entree, my bad." Half way through the entrees the salad showed up, and we asked if we still needed to have it, the server took it back and let us know she would take it off the bill. One person ordered a glass of wine with dinner, that never came either. The server came back and asked if anyone cared for dessert and we reminded her of the glass of wine and asked her to take it off the bill and we're met with another "my bad." The server appeared flustered and promptly walked away only to return with the bill. No dessert or coffee for us! To add insult to injury we had a front row seat for a majority of our meal watching a man who appeared to be a manager socializing with the next table for over 30 minutes, never once stopping at our table to ask about our meal. Finally, another server approached the manager to ask for his assistance with an another table, possibly having a similar experience. Walked in sat down, in the bar area, waited 10 minutes-still no waitress. My friend ordered a drink at the bar and had to wait 15 minutes before he was served. Now mind you 4 of my friends already had their drinks before I got there. One was already finished with her drink. She sat there for 30 minutes before she was asked if she would like another one. So she didn't even just mess up my order but my friends also. I asked if the owner was in and she says yes he is and he was her uncle. I have known the owner before she was even born. What was that suppose to prove that he was her uncle. This is a solitary player right in the middle of a traffic circle with Bear Mountain slightly off as a backdrop. 9 had a major shift in style and truthfully, even 6...maybe 7 years ago, we'd bypass this place (under a different name) every time we would head further north. But between hubby's home showings and being close by, this made the cut. Style is very current now with smokey greys, woods and more neutrals but the outdated pop music, didn't fit with 9's flair. Take your pick by parking on the side, rear or to their right. Place is equally huge inside and noticed like a Sweet 16 or something in their Banquet Room. Made another wrong turn and almost crashed like a Retirement party- until we finally reached the Lounge/Bar Area. On paper, Cocktails sounded very good, but my Lemon Drop had no strength. What's more, it tasted mediciny. Menu has everything for everybody. Fried Mozzarella Wedges were unusually good and my Salmon Burger was quite tasty too. Hubby liked his Chicken Piccata with steamed veggies- instead of the rice. Our server Steve- who we actually found out his name through another server (more than halfway into our meal), was friendly. But there was just one off moment where he practically ignored all my cues and focused on one person at the bar. Perfectly cooked. My wife got the penne vodka, which was tasteless. But this isn't a place to get Italian food. Stick to steaks, chops etc. The service was great. Mark gets five starts. Friendly service and huge servings for burgers & fries! My medium rare burger was cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful. Love the mushroom provolone burger's flavors and ingredients. The fries were also the perfect amount of crispy. I also love the seclusion of the rounded booths with SUPER tall backs - comfy and pretty private/intimate for a small group say of 5-6 people. My only disappointment was the appetizer sampler platter. While the dish itself was large, the amount of appetizers provided was underwhelming. The egg rolls and mozzarella wedges were pretty good, but I didn't find the platter worthwhile overall. I love Table 9 and me and my family have been going there for years. My go to favorites there are the Parmesan crusted chicken over angel hair pasta (Yum), the fish and chips, and the delicious the ahi tuna. The calamari appetizer is amazing as well. My wife loves the shrimp scampi, and the panko crab cakes (but last time we went they shortened the menu and omitted the crab cakes ). Their draft beer is nice and cold and their service is friendly and attentive (unless they are packed of course, but that happens with any crowded restaurant). All in all it's a great place, with a nice atmosphere and good food. Everything is moderately priced so it won't break the bank. Hope you Enjoy. read more
