The reason I said I recommend the place is because of the food because the drinks and bartender service was bad went there for a my friends baby shower smh the place was nice bathrooms clean the food service was good but the wait for a drink was no good they had one bartender and a older one too felt it was just too much for her to attend to a party and regular customers coming in . She wasn't focused I ordered a drink the first time given a price then went back to order the same thing and was charged a different price o didn't argue it because I was already aggravated by the service but you don't do that to people then i experienced a couple come in order a drink. She messaged me calls to take it to the guy and the guy asked what is this she says he's so pineapple martini. He's like I didn't order that. Stopped in Saturday for lunch with our party of 6. We ate in the Wine Room which was quiet and comfortable. Service was OK, a bit slow. Lunch menu was extensive. Three of us ordered the Homemade Pappardelle Pescatore (Pasta w/Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, and Calamari in a Marinara Sauce) - Very Delicious! The Lobster & Crab Ravioli garnered a rave review, as did the Penne alla Vodka. The Chicken Cutlet Milanese Hero was HUGE and Very Good. Walking into the restaurant was akin to being back on the Lower East Side. We were quickly seated (6 person reservation was recommended) and quickly tended to. The menus (3) covered a wide array of choices. The food was PERFECT, but most importantly we had an enjoyable LEISURELY meal with plenty to take away. Huge portions, I ate my entree in three dinners; one at the restaurant and two at home. Our family of 6, influenced by Grandmas Italian cooking enjoyed it all. Service was attentive and friendly and the wine list was extensive. My only regret is that we went here on a beautiful, warm, clear evening, and while the setting is just steps from the Hudson, there is only one window seat in the bar area. I wrote this letter to the management after my Valentine's Day disaster. I never heard back so I figured I just post it here. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service my husband and I received on Valentine's Day. We had a 7:30 PM reservation and were excited to celebrate both the holiday and our anniversary at your establishment. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but special. After placing our order, we waited for nearly two hours without receiving any food. Despite our patience and attempts to check on our order, nothing was brought to our table. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave, as we needed to relieve our babysitter. To make matters worse, we ended up stopping for McDonald's on the way home--certainly not the romantic dinner we had planned. Valentine's Day is very meaningful to us, and this experience completely ruined what should have been a special evening. We understand that restaurants can be busy on holidays, but waiting two hours without receiving food is unacceptable. I would appreciate an explanation as to how this happened and what can be done to make up for our ruined evening. I hope to hear from you soon. read more

Pretty good food and was able to accommodate our large party of 6 adults, 3 babies and 2 kids on short notice. The ambiance of the restaurant was good. A lot of tables and the service was good. We didn't get our salad that was supposed to come with our entrees and the waitress was very apologetic and quickly brought our salads. Big portion of chicken Parm. The spaghetti that came with it was very average but it hit the spot if you are craving chicken Parm. The pasta Lunella was very good. It had lots of seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp) and was garlicky and flavorful. Visually, I enjoyed the black and white pasta thought really couldn't taste the difference. The bread was nice and toasty and quite good. Why the 3 stars? The food took forever to come as mentioned by several reviews! One couple only ordered a pizza and their food was the last to come. They said it was good but with kids and toddlers, the long wait was not ideal. Prices were very reasonable - $18 for chicken Parm and pasta was around $23. Next time, if we are back in the area, we will just get take out and eat at the hotel. read more

My family and I have been dining at Taorima Restaurant for many years, and one thing is for sure their food is always consistent. We have never had a bland meal that lacked anything. My husband and I thought we finally found our favorite "to go to" Italian restaurant three weeks ago. He took me to this cute place near the water in Peekskill. My husband's coworkers were bragging to us about this place and how over the last few months the food has changed drastically for the better so we tried it. The food was excellent and we both knew the taste of the food was familiar to our pallet. At first we couldn't figure out where we've had this food until my husband asked the busboy by any chance is the chef's name Paulie and he said yes. At the end of our dinner, chef Paulie came out and we were so happy to see him there. We followed him and his wife for over 30 years in their restaurants. This Sunday we went back with another couple and were very disappointed. The food was a nothing like our prior experience. It was lacking, taste, freshness, consistency and creativity. A Fabulous Restaurant. Me and my colleague ate here on a Wednesday night in MID April. The Wait Staff was Knowledgeable and Courteous. Attentive, but not intrusive. I had the Meatball Appetizer, and Schrimp Fra Deavlo over Linguni for my Entree. Both were Top Knotch. Unfortunately I forgot what my colleague ordered, but he was similarly impressed. I've gotta tell you, this was probably the best Buffalo Chicken Wrap I've had yet. The chicken was crispy yet juicy, it had TONS of buffalo wing sauce, peppers, onions, it was sooo good. The fries were also really good. They were incredibly crispy and crunchy, just the way I like it. Nothing worse than a limp fry. If I'm back in the area again, I will definitely stop by here again. Walked by this restaurant next to the Peekskill train station, never knowing how good it was. They accommodated a group of 6 of us very easily on a Friday night. Parking was easy at the station 1/2 block away but they also have a dedicated lot. We all ordered from the 4-course menu and we very pleased with the variety and quality of the selections. The service was quick and friendly - no long waits. Everything was delicious! We will definitely return often to this pearl of a restaurant in Peekskill! What an amazing place! Unassuming from the outside, but the food is fantastic, the prices are very fair and the people are great! Located just steps from the Peekskill waterfront parks and Metro North Peekskill station; not to mention being right off US-9 - makes their location is. very convenient. Although their parking lot can get full at times, there is ample parking available within a 1-2 minute, 500-1,000-foot walk. There are a few other nearby eateries, but none with food of this quality. They have a pretty full bar, and even alfresco dining in-season. I personally recommend the Chicken Martini (think Chicken Francaise with parmesan and peas), Veal Taormina, and Eggplant Rolatini. Though everything I've ever had there was very good - and they have always accommodated every special request I have ever had or heard perfectly. During this crazy COVID-time, they adapted and opened to offer great food for take out including great deals for family meals!
