My wife and I chose Capriccio for an no fuss dinner. The service was good aswas the quiet atmosphere at an early dinner. The meal, well 2 out if three ain't bad..... The Calamari was nice and freshly served and the Eggplant pizza was well enjoyed. My favorite item (Sausage Calzone) was a disappointment, as it came out late and as I was trying to eat it, the slices of sausage were falling out. It wasn't until 1/4 through the calzone that I realized that the cheese wasn't melted through (essentially a ball of cheese instead of a slurry). read more

I visited Capriccio with a group of 6 people total on a Sunday at around 6pm. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a decently-sized parking lot. The pizza at the front looked delicious when we walked in! I ordered the mushroom tagliatelle. It is made with fresh pasta and several different types of mushrooms. The portion was huge, which was nice! Unfortunately, the pasta was pretty bland. I was really excited about it because of the fresh noodles and all the mushrooms, but the lack of flavor was sad. Everyone else in my party said their food was great, so maybe it was just my dish! New to the area, we went out on New Year's Eve, just for a pizza and some drinks. This was the first time we tried Capriccio. The restaurant was extremely crowded with patrons waiting for take out orders, but we were seated immediately. The waitress was extremely prompt, courteous and brought our drinks quickly. Hubby and I arrived on time but because our guests were coming from Queens, they got stuck in heavy traffic. However, we were welcomed in and told they were happy to seat us. Our favorites are the chicken bacon ranch pizza, eggplant parm, turkey BLT, and mozzarella sticks. Recently I learned they have chocolate chip cookies, and they are the best cookies. Pizza toppings are overpriced, but everything else is fair and equitable, good size portions and usually enough to take home. Never had bad service despite a lot of kids working here! I always look for Owen who treats us very well (thanks Owen!)! Getting a table inside can be a problem, especially when the outside area is closed. We came here for dinner after a day at nearby Croton Gorge park and this restaurant was so cute! From the ambiance and decor to the food, everything was really solid. We were so full from a day of eating so only ordered two entrees, a diavolo pizza and seafood linguine. The pizza was amazing even though it was slightly sweet for my taste with the hot honey and the seafood linguine was delicious as well. Had enough leftovers to take a few slices of pizza home too, would definitely revisit if we're in the area and try some other entrees and apps. While passing through town decided to stop in this small-town pizzeria. This place has a pizzeria in the front (already made pies for slices) and their order/pick-up area. There is a nicely decorated full restaurant in the back, with plenty of space for groups. The staff was friendly, service was quick and the spacious sitting area was clean. They also have outside tables as well. I got a slice of their sausage with broccoli as I waited for a buffalo chicken pie for takeout. Both were great, made with fresh ingredients and tasty. It's definitely top three, but doesn't come close to another pizzeria in Montrose I won't name. The truffle mushroom signature pie was beautifully made with high-quality ingredients, I just didn't enjoy the flavor profile. Chalk that up to personal taste. The classic cheese pie is above average/better than most, but won't cause you to drop a jaw. I'm a total meatball snob raised on meatballs lovingly crafted by a Sicilian grandma in slow Sunday gravy and wasn't overly impressed- their tomato sauce is average pizzeria stuff, the meatballs are tender, but not flavorful. Bottom line, I really enjoyed the classic pie and wouldn't hesitate to return if I couldn't secure my favorite pizza. Capriccio shines in this dismally average Westchester pizza scene. What an upgrade! Have to say, while their prices are still on the pricier side the food now lives up to it. Sooooo delicious. Had the wings (very good, not quite up to par with another local establishment but still very good), Brooklyn Sicilians, pepperoni rolls-thank goodness not everything has changed.
