Staff was nice and service was quick. They aren't in a rush to ring you up if you're dining in, so just order relax and they'll take care of you when your order is ready. Can't speak to the take out experience but people were popping in and out without issues it seemed. Clean and well lit place, small and minimal seating though. Seems more of a takeout place than a sit and enjoy there kind of place. Lucy's has been a staple in Ossining for several years. A great place to go where you can get solid slice of pizza! Local fan favorite. The staff is always welcoming and prices are good. I would normally give Lucy's five stars but I am a little bummed. The last two times I have been there, the pizza just wasn't the same as I grew up with. Slices were more doughy and a little thinker than that thin slice we grew up with. Who knows. But it still remains my number one choice for pizza in Ossining!! Will keep on going. Maybe a fluke. lol. This is my favorite pizzeria in Ossining. I love pizza so I have several pizza spots but this is one of my favorites. During the school year, it gets really packed around lunch time because the high schoolers go here for lunch also. But overall, they work to make sure the line moves quickly and people are in and out. They are super friendly, the more you go here, they remember you and treat you like family. I've had pizza from here on numerous occasions and it was excellent. I've also had salads from here and they were also delicious. I thought Lucy's Pizza was just okay. There was nothing terribly wrong with it; it just tasted very status quo. The appearance matches the taste. The one benefit of Lucy's is that it is one of few restaurants in the area that delivers. I am not intimately familiar with the town, but I would say that Lucy's is a good option when you need something quick and convenient. I ordered a pie with two toppings and garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. I can see the pizza and the garlic bread having tasted better had I had it straight out of the oven. This place makes a tasty pie but it's a different style of pizza than all that - the crust is definitely New York style (i.e. not deep-dish thick but not apizza thin) and it's on the firm, chewy side, not on the crispy side. I see so many out-of-towners reviewing Lucy's but let me tell you - Ossining is my home town and will always be. Every single person who has graduated from OHS in the last 30 years (maybe longer) had Lucy's coursing through their veins. An absolute staple on a weekday, and yet still somehow a treat on the weekend or over the summer if your parents ordered it. Their prices are reasonable, their food is great, I love that it's the SAME PEOPLE that have been there for 20+ years, and somehow, somehow, they still recognize me when I walk in. 20 years after I graduated high school, 10 years since I moved away, and they know me by name. Been going to them a few years now & have finally concluded that they aren't so great when it comes to pies. First of all, as of this writing they seem to be understaffed. So, for maybe the last 3 delivery orders, they Took. Ages To arrive. Then the pie tasted like it was done in a hurry (to fit in all those Friday/Sat night orders, I'd guess) For me, the key to a great pizza is the sauce. If that's not right, the whole thing is off. Being a vegan is not always easy when I'm visiting the Ossining area and of course pizza is always a challenge. However I went to Lucy's to pick up pizza with my family members fully expecting to eat something else when I saw them bring out a salad pie. I double checked that there was no cheese and asked if the dough was vegan (explaining all the things it couldn't have to double check). Luckily the salad slice is vegan!!!!! Is was a very large slice and was filling with the lettuce onions tomato and olives on top. It still gave me that pizza feel bc of the sauce and the soft crust. It was delicious!!!!
