I am so glad that I found Capri Pizza. Just happened to be working in ossining and stopped in and have actually eaten here for the last 3 or 4 days. I must say I picked up a Philly cheese steak for me and my buddy that was working with me. Man will we surprise that was the best Philly cheese steak I've ever eaten. I knew I wouldn't be getting gourmet food so I didn't have high expectations. That doesn't mean it was bad I just knew Wolfgang Puck wasn't cooking it. I wasn't crazy about the chicken caesar salad but it did the trick. The dressing didn't have that strong caesar taste that I sometimes get from the dressing. The grilled chicken was your standard grilled chicken so no complaints there. We ordered delivery and it came fast and hot. It was a big portion for a good price. Nothing to complain about there. Honestly the foods really good, only downfall is they run out of speciality pizza slices pretty early in the night. Besides that the staff is so nice and welcoming, food never takes too long, and it a great quick dinner spot! Update: HIGHLY disappointed that the menu has changed and rice is no longer offered as an alternative to pasta with the chicken Francese. Doesn't really make sense to me as rice is so cheap. It used to be that you got bread, a salad and the entree. They've removed the salad and bread. I've been eating here for years and this visit was the first time I needed to add salt and pepper to the dish. My husband is obsessed with the thin crust pizza and turkey BLAT. Both of those things are quite good. However the pasta takeout and the thick Sicilian crust pizza were not good. Prices are fair and portions are large but the taste just isn't as exceptional as you want it to be. We will be back for the thin crust pizza and that's probably all. read more

By the time we finished placing the order, it was told to us that it would be delivered in 50 mins. 1 hr and 20 min went by, we still had no food. Something has changed there. The food isn't very good, it's very salty. Pizza has no flavor, crust is dry and brittle. The worst part about it is they chew gum while serving food (note girl at register who is also behind pizza counter). That is a severe health code violation and they can be shut down by the Board of Health. Who wants her germs as she's chewing like a cow on a cud - it's disgusting. I'm done there. There are other places in town to go to. Their eggplant parm hero is some fried eggplant thrown on a roll, cheese and sauce thrown on it and then baked.
