Dana's Diner is new to the neighborhood! Located in Mahopac NY off of Route 6! Breakfast and Lunch only! Owned and operated by wife and husband (the chefs). I dined with three other people and two of them ordered full breakfasts samplers, which was delicious! Omelette was fluffy and delicious! Nice menu selections! Home cooking at its best! Bring the kids and meet your friends at Dana's Diner for a great fresh and delicious meal! Support local family owned businesses! Hours 7:30- 3:00 Tues-Saturday!

We were told that there is a new buffet in town so we have to try it! We went fo Grand Buffet in…read moreMahopac, I think they opened few months ago. They were great, better than other places with very oily food and of course the closest one we have instead of going all the way in Danbury and Cortlandt. They have a lot of seafoods with sushi area. They are clean and servers are attentive. :) It's a combination of American and Chinese food, which is great and has more choices, they have varieties from chicken, pork, beef and more! They also have some cold seafood, which I wish they also have Hot crabs and seafoods too! Their shrimp has flavor as well as the other seafoods they have, my favorite was the cheesy mussels! Yum! Went twice for it! They have some vegetables if you're vegetarian and of course some sushi and sashimi too! Some seasoned fruits, different salads as well are available. Paid almost $60 for Wednesday afternoon which we think is reasonable. Will be back! :)

I can't remember the last time I went to an Asian Chinese style Buffet that was this bad. I mean…read morereally bad. I got a plate to go and was afraid of everything I got. More afraid of what I did not get especially the fish items. The sushi bar and the lobster as well as crawfish were screaming out " eat this and you will be in the emergency room in 20 minutes " All items were overcooked and dried out. The only food with Chinese seasoning was the Roast beef you cut yourself. You had part raw part med rare or well done. I knew it was going to be horrible because it was lime cutting a shoe to get a piece. I was right. Stuffed mushrooms 1/2 were sour 1/3 were buttery and weird. ShuMai awful. Instantly tasted rancid. I spit it in my hand and threw it out the window. Steamed pork bun had a tiny piece of pork meatball ins. It was very dry no flavor ( out the window) Kimchi loaded with sugar Eggplant loaded with sugar we'd loaded with sugar Stuffed mussels load with sugar. Everything was sweet!! Why?? I left the phone in my car if you saw the food you would understand that this place will not remain open very long. The one and only item I would ever go back here for is the Hot and Sour soup. Probably the best within 20 miles. Very authentic. Restaurant is very big very clean. Staff was very odd and unfriendly. But I'm used to that. I loved the front as it's a little marketplace with souvenirs. (0/10) Dear fellow Americans Chinese food is not sweet!!! Kimchi is not Chinese and oysters are not dry and dark ( scary)

I'm just gonna come out and say it- run like a thief in the night and come to Southeast G. on Rt 6…read morein Brewster, NY. This is truly comfort food on the cheap. Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

There's plenty of parking, a separate bar room and a large dining room with views down to the lake. Unfortunately building codes don't permit outdoor patio seating but grab a window table if you can (reservation required with request). Service has always been friendly and efficient and the food is classy casual, with a nice selection of dishes for everyone.

Saturday, 11th April 2026 North Salem, NY…read more Sunny 66°F When we heard about Purdy's being one of the very few Westchester restaurants to receive a Michelin plaque for their stewardship of Farm-to-Table cuisine, we knew we had to visit. Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!
