I love the feel of this place, the personality, the authenticity, and the vibe... For this, Blazers easily reaches three stars. We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... A casual, family friendly place with good service. My group of 4 and a toddler waited 10 min on a Sunday night. The highlight of our meal were the wings - perfectly crispy and double fried with additional buffalo sauce on the side. Honestly everything we ordered had no flavor. I took a bite of the fish from the fish and chips and it made my stomach turn. It seems like the batter was similar to a mozzarella stick crust but that wasn't seasoned either. It wasn't really fish and chips. My boyfriend got a burger and there wasn't really any flavor other than grease. We also shared the wings and for their signature wings, it just tastes fried and not really anything special. So ive been hearing about this place and finally checked it out. They were the Dark Horse of the viral Tiktok "Best Wings In Westchester " competition who took out Candlelight and Roosters..As you pull up you see an old stand alone house that looks like it hasn't changed in years ( that's actually a great sign of really good food )..ample parking lot and you see a great outdoor patio area. As you get to the front door you see a Blue Line sticker on the door...anyplace that Backs the Blue gets my love ! You walk it and its exactly what you expect..cool eclectic artwork, Police Patches adorning the entire Bar area...and cozy dining areas. Everybody was super friendly..our Server Vaida was sooo nice and helpful. Of course we started with the wings in their signature sauce...delicious!! I had a Bacon Cheeseburger ( one of the best Bar burgers ive ever had ) wife had a Roast beef club sandwich that she loved...and we shared a cup of absolutely Delicious chili ( that of course we used to dunk our huge thick cut steak fries into ) This place is very special and we will definitely be adding it to our rotation of amazing local eateries. Have been wanting to go here for a while and stopped in today. Hostess was nice. Took a long time to order and also a very long time for our food to arrive and no acknowledgment of either delays. Food was ok, we had a burger ordered rare that came medium/well. Fries were extra - not salted and well done, chicken salad sandwich was good but nothing special. Went to The Blazer Pub after a hiatus of some 25 years. It was basically unchanged (which is good). The menu is straight forward. The hamburgers were served exactly as ordered (ranging from medium rare to medium-well and well done) and the fries were just great. We ordered the fries for a party of 9 and they were more than enough for us. The service was excellent, attentive. We've been there twice for family birthdays. Once in January for my son's 21st. They gave him a Blazer Pub T shirt - a classy lost art and very cool. The wings are outstanding. We had all the kinds. Excellent crisp, size and flavor. The rest of the food was very good too. We had more staff attend to us in each occasion than any family would ever actually need. I had a buffalo (grilled) chicken salad that was excellent. Solid portion and a yummy side of homemade blue cheese dressing. My colleague doesn't like blue cheese, so she just had ranch dressing with no crumbles - she also had the buffalo chicken salad. The reuben sandwich that was ordered looked amazing. I saw The Blazer Pub on a show called Restaurant Hunter a couple of year's ago. Their burgers were touted as being one of the best of all of Westchester. We were not disappointed as we ate every last morsel of our burgers. We had a small order of steak fries which we shared which were quickly devoured. I had the pleasure of having one of their local tap Pilsner beer which was so refreshing I had to have a couple. Service was stellar and I love the ambiance of this establishment. My brother has been to this quintessential pub in northern Westchester. We were in the neighborhood and stopped by. This place is straight out of central casting. It's situated in a very old building, covered in college pennants and other knickknacks. The bar has a warm vibe. The waitresses were very nice. We had the signature chicken wings. They are cooked, then tossed in buffalo sauce, then cooked again. They are dry and crispily delicious. The buffalo sauce was a bit muted. When I return, I would get some more sauce on the side. There wasn't an equal number of flats and drumettes, but that was fine. I was blown away by the French fries. They were steakhouse sized, cooked crisp as requested. The crunchy exteriors contrasted beautifully with the creamy interiors. This was a top five fries experience. We couldn't finish a large order. It could be shared among at least three people. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. It would be hard for me not to order the chicken wings every time, but I would happily work my way through the rest of the menu. Successfully got into this place on our second try--new to the area and thought we'd grab a drink around 9pm on a Saturday, but the parking lot was completely full. This time we came for dinner with our nine month old in tow at 5:30 on a Friday--and the parking lot was full again! Undeterred, we parked on the side of the road (following the example of some other cars). The inside is incredibly charming with old school college sports bar vibes, and lots of families. A lady I suspect was one of the owners was working the front desk and she was lovely. Inside was packed to the rafters so we asked for an outdoor table and were seated immediately. Service was A minus (very friendly, responsive, easy to hail the server down even if she wasn't making regular drop ins), which I actually found more impressive given how crazy busy it was. The food is amazing. We split an order of the signature chicken wings, a bowl of the tomato bacon soup, and then each got a cape cod reuben. SO GOOD! Our only regret was when an order of the fries came to the table next to us--we should have ordered those as well! For two beers, two apps and two mains, the total was $78. From a family perspective this place has it all. Lots of high chairs, crayons brought to the table, arcade games inside, and plenty of options for picky eaters on the menu. Plus the volume was basically a dull roar so if our baby had gotten fussy I don't think anyone would have noticed. Great for: families, friends looking to have some beers and catch a game, pregnant or otherwise non-drinking looking for a bar experience (solid NA beer list) Not for: the hard of hearing, someone who wants their pub to come with fifty beers on tap you've never heard of--the beer list was good and had an emphasis on New York beers, but they were definitely of the tried and true variety! read more
