Irish Breakfast
Anthony C.

Just returned from a cruise around Ireland and found this wonderful Irish eatery just a few miles from our home. The food was very good (the Cottage Pie was fantastic) nice Irish tunes playing and a fully stocked bar. Our waitress Betty was delightful and made the dinner special. will definitely return.

Visited on Sunday before ST Patty's. Went to see Piper Dream to see Coryanne with her bag pipes!…read more Excellent music and dance area. Decided to have Irish food since that was the menu for the night. My friend had the shepherds pie and it was HORRIBLE. If you could find a carrot you were lucky never mind any of the other veggies. The potatoes were little scoops plopped around the top, no cheese. Bland and horrible. Worse Shepherds Pie ever. I had the corned beef reuben and the corned beef looked like scraps that should have been used on nachos instead of a sandwich. There were some strips of CB with sauerkraut and the swiss made the rest of the sandwich OK. Would go back for the music but would not have food here. Waitresses were not as attentive as they should have been as we had empty glasses of Guiness and needed refills and had to wait along time to get them to swing by. Excuse twice was the Guiness kicked? I can see 1 time, but not 2 in a short time. If you want authentic Irish fare go somewhere else.

Went to check out a band here. It's a big place really nice great venue for a band. We ordered…read morequesadillas, nachos, and wings, standard pub fare. The Irish quesadillas were fantastic! Love the corn beef and cabbage inside. Regular nachos were OK, they were missing key elements of nachos. No jalapeños, no salsa, no guac. Pretty lackluster. The wings were good, we had two different types smothered in the sauces. Wings were also very good and the waitress was really nice and accommodating.

I haven't been to Rory Dolan's in about 25 years; it's exactly as I remember it. A fun atmosphere,…read moreexcellent food, and beverages. there's a Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well as seasonal specials. That doesn't happen very often anymore where you can go "home".. It made an otherwise somber occasion a little less sad. 2/28/26. We had a family memorial luncheon, originally reserved for 16 people, it soon became 20 people. Rory Dolan was very gracious and accommodating, rearranging tables to accommodate the group. We had a section in the upper dining area to ourselves. There's an extensive adult beverage menu, with of dozens of beers on tap and on ice, wines, and liquors. See photos. The food menu had the expected Irish fare; shepherds pie, salmon, corned beef, and cabbage, etc. There were some Italian inspired appetizers and mains, even Korean flavors. Everyone ordered whatever they wanted off the regular menu. Service was impeccable, the restaurant has an inviting ambience. I noticed there were a lot of "regulars" there this particular afternoon. It's still a pretty cool "watering hall". They have live music on the weekends and they also sponsor local event events.

They have a spacious bar and restaurant area, that is conveniently located on McLean Ave. It is a lively space but the decor and dark wood make it seem more like a historic location. I came here for a work event and order the chicken tender and fries. It came out very quickly, even though the bar and restaurant was packed. My food was hot and fresh. I would definitely order this again. Can't wait to stop back in.
