I pass Brodie's on a regularly basis and finally got around to stopping by for some grub. I didn't really know what to expect walking in the door but ended up leaving pleasantly surprised and satisfied. This place gave me Cheers (the tv show) meets Irish pub vibes. Very neighborly atmosphere with what seemed to be a lot of regulars. One thing I really liked was that the staff were very friendly and even though it was our first time there they treated us as though as if they knew us. For food, I ordered a burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg, and I added the "special sauce". It was a very good burger and paired well with a Guinness! We also ordered a sliced beef sandwich was was also very good. Oh and we felt adventurous and ordered the pineapple curry hot wings which were interesting...in a good way. Not from the area but I come to walmart often. Everytime I drive by this place I always wanted to try it and I finally did and boy oh boy ! The best burger I've ever had. The nice char grill lines on the outside, so juicy inside. I got the "big mick" with the special sauce, it was delicious! Fries were like steak fries, crisp and soft on inside. So delicious. Liked this place quite a bit, but didn't love it yet. Pros: food was really good bar food without being greasy! Zucchini sticks were a definite hit! My husband had the Guinness burger and loved it. The buffalo wrap was ok, the buffalo sauce was a bit watery. French fries were really good too - more like steak fries but not overly greasy so they were great for baby munching. Cons: the restaurant part of the place is small so at prime time dining hours it packs very quickly. It was a great and welcoming place for our baby, but they only had 3 high chairs which were already taken. Definitely will try them again soon a little off prime time hours to get a better perspective. read more

Wow talk about going down hill. Our meals were horrible my husband had the short ribs and only ate one bite they were horrible and I had the baked Penne. Baked Penne is normally with pasta, ricotta, sauce, mozzarella not there it was penne with vodka sauce baked disgusting. The menu did not say that. The waitress was ok but she was all alone she was very apologetic for the horrible food. We asked for a To go container and after 15 minutes she never got it so we left with our food in a napkin The place is old and smells like mold on top of that I stuck to the floor because it was so sticky. I should have know when we arrived at 5:30 pm and the place had an empty dining room. This is my third visit there and every time we go it's horrible. I have to say, the food may just be mediocre but they put on one hell of a St Patty's Day. Today was the 3rd year (not consecutive) that I've been here. They always have an Irish Folk Singer named Tim Quinn (he is fantastic) and the Westchester County Emerald Society (they are AWESOME!) On St Patty's Day expect a wait - can range from 25 min to an hour depending on the time you arrive. We arrived around 5:15 (hubby and 2 kids) and waited about 30 min or so. We have had the pleasure of visiting a few times since the beginning of 2023 and found that we should have been stopping in weekly at least! Yesterday, we had an impromptu birthday lunch for a neighbor and his request was to try out Brodie's. The service from our waitress Donna was impeccable and the food was outstanding. I don't know where they get their meat from but the Burgers is top notch. Lean and no grease with tons of flavor. Kevin the owner worked very well with me to plan a surprise 30th birthday party for my son on Sunday, April 3, 2022. I appreciated his suggestions with catering and keeping the costs to a minimum, while providing excellent service. The menu had a variety of options to select from and we opted for a bar tab to keep the drinks flowing. We brought in our own DJ friend for the event and the sound was perfect! There was also a spacious dance floor. We arrived around noon to set up and decorate. The party was catered in the private basement with easy access for entry and had it's own private bathroom for our guests. The guests parked to the rear of the restaurant and entered through the back door while keeping it a surprise for the birthday boy. I highly recommend Brodie's Pub for considering any future catering events you need to plan for. read more

The two stars are mainly because the food was very bland and had no seasoning or much of a taste. It's not easy to cook pork belly but for the price, this was very disappointing. The menu is rather overpriced. My friend got the shepherd's pie which was $17. The service was great. We love this place. It's right around the corner from our house and definitely a go-to when we want a good burger and a beer. The Big Mick burger is one of my favorite burgers in the area. Staff is always kind and they've done a great job creating a covid safe dining space for people (like me) who are on the more cautious side and avoiding indoor dining. Brodie's is supposedly known for their wings, but after my visit, I have no idea why. I'm not sure what kind of wings people are used to, that rave about this place, but they clearly haven't had quality wings before. My husband and I went here for lunch one Saturday a couple weeks ago since we were shopping in the area. I'd been wanting to try it out for YEARS after hearing so much about their buffalo wings. So alas, we ventured in. Greeted by a not so friendly woman holding an iPad, she seated us at a booth, score! The place was fairly busy for that time of day but we were seated immediately. She took our drink orders and my husband, sweet as he is, tried lightly joking with her, which she had absolutely no part of. Ok, whatever. Now we get into the menu, and there's the 'wings'..I see 6 wings for $8 and we get that since we would be getting a meal too. We ordered the hot wings WITH sauce. The wings come out and it was only 6 PIECES!! What??? Not even whole wings. And they were tiny, luke warm and I had to ask for extra sauce, which seemed completely different than the sauce that was actually on the wings. What a terrible disappointment. Not to mention the no-personality waitress who barely checked on us more than once, wasn't making this experience any less awful. As we were eating our main meals (I got French onion soup that left much to be desired, my husband a burger that actually was a big and looked tasty), there were now more waitresses that seemed to be working, one of which checked on us TWICE, prior to our departure - she wasn't even our waitress! The other one continued navigating around with the iPad, I couldn't wait to leave. I can say with total certainty, we will NOT be back. This is a great spot to drink at the bar, and if you like a good Guiness, the bartender knows how to pour. The food, other than wings (think bar food) is disappointing. The menu is limited to lots of fried and greasy things, which arrive, well fried and greasy. The burger quality has declined to the point where Five Guys could beat this place handily. Love this place. It's been around town forever and is such a classic spot to go to. My family and I have been here countless times. Enough times to have the waitresses start remembering us by name. It's a split atmosphere between the bar and dining areas (quite literally with a wall between the two) which is nice just in case the bar scene gets a little rowdy, which is usually doesn't. The bar scene is fun and the crowd is definitely a more local crowd but everyone in there is nice and the bartenders are always nice. Darts are a definite plus. Food is great. Can't go wrong with the fish and chips but everything else I've had on the menu has been excellent as well. Love the waitresses and the staff really hustles. My husband and I were in the mood for a burger so we decided to go to Brodies. We have not been there in awhile. Well, our night did not turn out so pleasant. There was one waiter working who had no personality or any desire to work hard or please his patrons. He barely threw menus at us and we waited for sodas. Then he came and took our orders. He brought us our soup (and my husband ordered another soda which we waited 15 minutes for) and I had to ask for a napkin. When he brought us our orders I had to ask for silverware which he just put on the table. He seemed to be very helpful to the other tables and we were wondering if it was because we were an older couple we were being neglected. Finally, I asked for a refill and so did my husband and he proceeded to help all the other tables (one item at a time -- he did not strain himself) and we never got our sodas. I told him then to take them off our bill and we would just take a check which we got about 15 minutes later after he was done hand-delivering one item at a time to the other tables. (Very pleasant to them not to us). Perhaps they were short-staffed tonite but that is no reason to make people feel as if they are imposing. We are paying for dinner and expect to get service with a bit of a smile. The soups, burger and grilled cheese we ordered were delicious. Would I go back? Maybe cause I love their food but if I saw him waiting tables I would leave immediately. read more

As far as local pubs go, this place definitely has the advantageous position for offering quality burgers. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and I can assure you, the burgers are well done - or medium, or whatever else you like - and definitely live up to their self proclaimed burger prowess. They also have some of the best tasting, greasy-finger licking onion rings I have enjoyed feasting on while enjoying a whiskey in the rocks. As for the ambiance, the place is rather laid back and they're definitely a large number of locals who share one hell of an affinity for the spot, but it can be a bit mundane. It's an Irish-American percent b, they offer buy backs and darts, a mixture of young an old, and a jukebox that features those classic tunes that if course no one is tired of hearing every time they frequent an establishment. Most local spots in this area will offer the same exact amount of potential mundaneness, so you can't hold that against them. They do offer live music, and the place can get quite packed with folks, but keep in mind that locals are the overwhelming majority of attendants. read more
