I went here to meet a friend the place is very cute and cozy. The waitress was very attentive and polite. We didn't stay there long. We just ate some fries and have drinks, but the atmosphere was good. I will have to go again to see what is really about.

Wow. What a great place to hang out. Loved the cocktail drinks different Ipas , and wines. River burger , watermelon salad , and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Service and ambience is good. Definitely a place to return too

What a place! The bartender is from Ireland and has the Irish accent and humor. He makes one hell of a drink. It was incredibly fun to sit at the bar and chat. It's a very friendly place and although we only went for drinks, I will go back next time for food as well. Parking is annoying as there is mostly only street parking available, and it's a dollar or so an hour. Some places have a limit on the parking as well. Their bathrooms were not the best but they worked. It was overall a perfect neighborhood bar. They also decorate it every month for a holiday or theme.

Great place to kick back with some friends and enjoy a brew or some way better than expected food! It's loud, often crowded, and seating is hard to find, but if you stick it out, you'll be rewarded with some surprises like maple wings, and a great burger and fries. Pulled pork and fish tacos were less impressive but service is always fast and the man who runs the show will do everything in his power to make you happy. Party on!

Wanna grab some delicious drinks AND great food all in one spot? Consider this a MUST! Before heading to Woodbury Commons Outlet, we decided to grab a nosh and Whiskey River on N. Division St in Peekskill- popped up. The menu reads well and that's why I decided not to pussyfoot around it and just come here- instead of doing a 20-minute Yelp search like I usually do. No reservations taken- just walk right in. And at the time we did, it was just us on tables and two folks at the bar. Whiskey River is stylish with an inviting entrance, brick walls and equally chic, textured wooden black walls. It's not your typical bar food. And it's not a big menu- but a creative one which hubs and I were really digging. My 'Double Mule' was well-crafted, had the right components with extra oomph while hubs enjoyed both his Lagers. Our Granola-topped, Butternut +Ginger bisque was stunning with the most subtle heat. Hubs loved his Fried 'Mother Clucker' Chicken Sandwich and I was all over my chunky, Fried Cod Fish Tacos. Lemme just say this: the cod fish was substantial with an airy dredge on it, served with pickled onions and the lightest-touched mayo on the slaw- which I barely noticed. Perfection! The proof is in the eating. And just so you know, Whiskey River's food is hearty- but not boring bar food! This was a fantastic escape from our usual locations. Our guy Nathan was on his toes the entire time and totally appreciated that. Thank you!!! We'd come back ASAP. Everything about it was great. I'd even try my hand at some of their other cocktails. Hospitality? Check! Courteous? Check! Food? Awesome!

It is quite small inside but yet they are able to distance everyone and still make the dining experience amazing!! We started off with these smokey paloma drinks and proceeded with the empanadas of the week (creamy chicken and rice,) beef tacos, fish tacos and bro got the venison chili. The chili alone was superb!!! I wish I would have gotten a takeout order for my dad since they change up the menu pretty much weekly but here's to hoping they have it again sometime Empanadas are always a win no matter the version and the fish tacos ohhh man.... I should have asked for two orders they were so tasty! It was a 'cold' taco with slaw and drizzle and I could not have asked for better. I will be back here again and again fo sho

Oh man....the veggie burger here is super tasty. It has all the fixings, avocado, jalapeño, the sauce, TLC...it's just so satisfying. The cauliflower wings were good. And the burrito was a burrito. GET THE VEGGIE BURGER.

Small cute little bar! Pretty Christmas decorations! Huge whiskey selection. The menu is a bit limited! We had the chicken sandwich and the garlic parm wings with fries. They were okay. Nothing to go crazy crazy about! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They following covid guidelines!

The restaurant was extremely busy and clearly understaffed -- there were only two servers working incredibly hard. Service was definitely slow, but I give them a lot of credit for doing their best under the circumstances. They were very gracious and even brought us a complimentary drink to apologize for the wait, which was a really nice touch. Despite the delays, the food was excellent. The nachos were great, the French dip and chicken sandwich were both very good, and honestly, the fries were some of the best I've ever had. We also tried their house-made beer, which was delicious. One thing to note is the layout of the restaurant. It's right next to (and partially within) the arcade, so it can get very loud with lots of kids running around and yelling. I can definitely see the appeal for parents -- being able to eat and have a drink while keeping an eye on their kids is a big plus. For those without kids or looking for a quieter, kid-free night, it's just something to be aware of. That said, I'd love to come back in the summer and sit on the outdoor deck along the water. Overall, a cool spot with great food.

Past three times I've been, they have been dry to the point of overcooked and hollow. But the burgers are good and other menu items are also tasty. Disappointing that they shut down early weekdays. Especially Wednesdays! lol. Dining area holds plenty of seating indoors and out. View of Hudson River is awesome! Staff are all good people! Bar outside is not too bad. Good social spot! Like I said. I like this place and will still visit. So solid two thumbs up.

The Irish latkas have a nice flavor and the potato/cheese mix was really good, add in that onion and bang you have an amazing flavor. I would have liked it to be a little more crispy. Let's talk main courses: we had a variety of food ranging from burgers to steak. The fries are fresh cut and cooked to a nice crisp. The burgers were cooked to order and from what I was told had nice flavor. The roast beef sandwich was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and the cheese was a great hit. The sliders were cooked right and had nice flavor with the onions and cheese The hush puppies were ok very fishy flavor. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and I got fries instead of mashed and enjoyed it very much. The Buffalo wings have a little kick nothing over the top. My daughter liked them but said it could be a little hotter. Dessert is missing, they have a ice cream sundae and that was all. The ambiance is a relaxed bar like atmosphere. The first floor can be pretty loud. They have plenty of tvs on the walls. The seating is alot of hightops, upstairs has a few tables and a little quieter then downstairs. Service is ok, not sure if the delays with the kitchen being a busy Saturday night or the fact that we were upstairs and had to keep running up and downstairs.

The waiter had an unfriendly demeanor from the start. He glared at me as I came in through the door, but then didn't bother to say hello. To find it, drive up to the top (third) level and it faces away from the street at the end (furthest from where you drive into the third row). It's a great neighborhood pub that happens to have some indoor virtual golf rooms. There's a lot of space and not so many tables in the front section, which get filled up on trivia night. The service was very friendly. I had the ribs special with fries. I was a bit surprised when it came out with only three ribs. They were also pretty small. On the good side, the meat fell off the bone. The rub, if there was one, was not evident. The sauce that came with it tasted like store-bought sauce. Maybe one of the Jack Daniels BBQs. It was thick and very sweet. Fries were standard shoestring that also felt like they were store bought, but they weren't greasy at all. I'll try the wings next time. If they are not on special, they are pretty expensive if you calculate the cost per wing. Decent beer selection. Guinness comes from the can and they use the small 12oz tulip glasses. They do have a small selection on tap. Prices are reasonable, even for the specials, although the serving size is only good enough for a snack for anyone bigger than a 6th grader. Burgers seemed much bigger and plentiful from what I could see. Trivia on Thursdays is fun, although it is corporate trivia, which is not as much fun as personally tailored trivia that you see in some other places. They have lots of numbers questions or facts that no one would ever know because they are too detailed and the host generally does not understand the answers or mispronounces them. Definitely worth a visit if you are local, but don't come hungry if you plan to order a special.
