What a place! The bartender is from Ireland and has the Irish accent and humor. He makes one hell of a drink. It was incredibly fun to sit at the bar and chat. It's a very friendly place and although we only went for drinks, I will go back next time for food as well. Parking is annoying as there is mostly only street parking available, and it's a dollar or so an hour. Some places have a limit on the parking as well. Their bathrooms were not the best but they worked. It was overall a perfect neighborhood bar. They also decorate it every month for a holiday or theme.

Great place to kick back with some friends and enjoy a brew or some way better than expected food! It's loud, often crowded, and seating is hard to find, but if you stick it out, you'll be rewarded with some surprises like maple wings, and a great burger and fries. Pulled pork and fish tacos were less impressive but service is always fast and the man who runs the show will do everything in his power to make you happy. Party on!

Wanna grab some delicious drinks AND great food all in one spot? Consider this a MUST! Before heading to Woodbury Commons Outlet, we decided to grab a nosh and Whiskey River on N. Division St in Peekskill- popped up. The menu reads well and that's why I decided not to pussyfoot around it and just come here- instead of doing a 20-minute Yelp search like I usually do. No reservations taken- just walk right in. And at the time we did, it was just us on tables and two folks at the bar. Whiskey River is stylish with an inviting entrance, brick walls and equally chic, textured wooden black walls. It's not your typical bar food. And it's not a big menu- but a creative one which hubs and I were really digging. My 'Double Mule' was well-crafted, had the right components with extra oomph while hubs enjoyed both his Lagers. Our Granola-topped, Butternut +Ginger bisque was stunning with the most subtle heat. Hubs loved his Fried 'Mother Clucker' Chicken Sandwich and I was all over my chunky, Fried Cod Fish Tacos. Lemme just say this: the cod fish was substantial with an airy dredge on it, served with pickled onions and the lightest-touched mayo on the slaw- which I barely noticed. Perfection! The proof is in the eating. And just so you know, Whiskey River's food is hearty- but not boring bar food! This was a fantastic escape from our usual locations. Our guy Nathan was on his toes the entire time and totally appreciated that. Thank you!!! We'd come back ASAP. Everything about it was great. I'd even try my hand at some of their other cocktails. Hospitality? Check! Courteous? Check! Food? Awesome!

Oh man....the veggie burger here is super tasty. It has all the fixings, avocado, jalapeño, the sauce, TLC...it's just so satisfying. The cauliflower wings were good. And the burrito was a burrito. GET THE VEGGIE BURGER.

It is quite small inside but yet they are able to distance everyone and still make the dining experience amazing!! We started off with these smokey paloma drinks and proceeded with the empanadas of the week (creamy chicken and rice,) beef tacos, fish tacos and bro got the venison chili. The chili alone was superb!!! I wish I would have gotten a takeout order for my dad since they change up the menu pretty much weekly but here's to hoping they have it again sometime Empanadas are always a win no matter the version and the fish tacos ohhh man.... I should have asked for two orders they were so tasty! It was a 'cold' taco with slaw and drizzle and I could not have asked for better. I will be back here again and again fo sho

Small cute little bar! Pretty Christmas decorations! Huge whiskey selection. The menu is a bit limited! We had the chicken sandwich and the garlic parm wings with fries. They were okay. Nothing to go crazy crazy about! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They following covid guidelines!

Honestly so surprised how great this place was! Super clean and well decorated. Great food, Great cocktail and liquor list, and amazing genuine service. If I lived anywhere near here I'd be a once a week regular.

It's a low key establishment from the outside but once you are in it feels a lot more trendy. The stage is right in the front and all the tables can get a good view of the stage. The music can be loud at times and the ambience is more on the dimly lit side but still a great spot. The service was great, and the drink selection was cool too. I would definitely pick from the selection of speciality cocktails. I got the smoked old fashioned (or similar) and that was potent, Smokey and delicious. We also got a few bites to eat. Other than the tuna tartare (didn't feel fresh) everything we got was nice - nigiri combo, kimchi fried rice, kings toast.... Nice drinks, nice atmosphere, good food and great service!!

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

The ambiance is top notch, especially on a busy Friday night. Packed to the gills with some of the most beautiful people living in and around White Plains, it is a treat to come here when everything else has already closed and the party. must. go. on! :-) However, I do have one bone to pick. The bouncer stationed at the front is extremely and suddenly rude. I was shocked last night by this experience. At first, I was let in just fine, told that I just needed to "sheath" my bluetooth speaker that I usually use to provide my own musical ambiance when traveling up and down Mamaroneck Avenue. I walked around inside unscathed, was even so lucky as to catch the eye of a few beautiful ladies- lucky me. I stepped outside to catch a breath - so packed inside - and saw one of those same ladies inside through the glass window. We made momentary eye contact, and I was going to re-enter to chat with her, when the bouncer appeared out of nowhere and told me, rudely, to leave at once. That he had had "too many complaints about me". I truly had done nothing to receive this treatment. I hadn't had a drink all night, I was dressed exquisitely, and I'm an above average dancer. And yet, when I told him I had done nothing, his response was "LEAVE. NOW." I mean, WTF? Other than that, it is great there. I might go back one day if that bouncer receives an attitude adjustment. But until then, I'll steer clear and spend my time at Cantina, whose doorman is MUCH nicer to the clientele and is much less likely to be on some substance when allowing people in the door.
