This might be just the taste, but nobody at our table liked them. Also - and this seems to be the specialty of the house - they were not particularly warm. We also ordered the nachos with the brisket chili. The plate was huge and the nachos were pretty good. Unfortunately, the chili was largely a rumor. Now for dinner. Oh boy. First the staff, including our waitress, brought us food for another table. We didn't realize it right away, because the other table ordered a couple of items we did. Then we did get our food. We had a couple of the brisket grilled cheeses. These were tasty, but again, with precious little meat in them, and not hot. We had a smash burger order - COLD. Two mushroom truffle burgers - also cold and one was severely undercooked. We were going to a show so we suffered with it. The fries were a hit by the way. I ordered the salt caramel gelato. I've had similar many times. This was overly salty. I was very excited to go here, but unfortunately, quality flew the coop at Birdsall.

The Irish latkas have a nice flavor and the potato/cheese mix was really good, add in that onion and bang you have an amazing flavor. I would have liked it to be a little more crispy. Let's talk main courses: we had a variety of food ranging from burgers to steak. The fries are fresh cut and cooked to a nice crisp. The burgers were cooked to order and from what I was told had nice flavor. The roast beef sandwich was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and the cheese was a great hit. The sliders were cooked right and had nice flavor with the onions and cheese The hush puppies were ok very fishy flavor. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and I got fries instead of mashed and enjoyed it very much. The Buffalo wings have a little kick nothing over the top. My daughter liked them but said it could be a little hotter. Dessert is missing, they have a ice cream sundae and that was all. The ambiance is a relaxed bar like atmosphere. The first floor can be pretty loud. They have plenty of tvs on the walls. The seating is alot of hightops, upstairs has a few tables and a little quieter then downstairs. Service is ok, not sure if the delays with the kitchen being a busy Saturday night or the fact that we were upstairs and had to keep running up and downstairs.

$25 for Two Coronas?!?…read more I stopped in expecting a chill drink with friends, not to get hit with steakhouse prices for two beers. $25 for two Coronas -- no specials, no live music, no rooftop view. Just a regular bar charging luxury prices for something that costs $5 at a bodega. I get inflation, I get markups -- but this felt more like a scam than a splurge. The staff didn't mention any service charge or pricing beforehand, which makes it feel even worse. If you enjoy overpriced drinks and surprise charges, maybe this place is for you. Otherwise, save your money and go somewhere that respects its customers.

There's a big stage and fab lighting throughout...looks like a great place to enjoy some live entertainment. We went before a (Paramount) show and sampled the pizza, Brussels sprouts, wings and specialty cocktails. Our friends had pasta dishes that received rave reviews. Service was very friendly but since it was on the busy side, the food took a little while (which was totally fine since we had plenty of time before the show started). Really enjoyed my meal and I'll be sure to visit again.

We tend to follow the local cover band Run For Cover, and with them talking about this place on their podcast, we decided to make the drive from Connecticut to go see them play here. We came for the music, so I'll mention the stage first. I'd say there isn't a bad seat in the house, but there are. You can scoot your chair, though, so I'll say there isn't a bad table in the house. Acoustics are nice, and the stage lighting doesn't usually move around and shine directly into your retina. Table service keeps the food and drink coming so you don't miss a minute. Now, onto the food. Their pizzas are made from scratch with their house-made sourdough starter, and it sounds like they do a better job of keeping it healthy than I do. (I wonder if I can take some home. I should ask next time.) The result is a pizza crust that is light and airy, but is dense enough to provide what The Sporkful calls "toothsinkability." They don't put the kitchen sink on their pizzas, so don't expect the crust to flop over the entire time you're holding your slice. There are plenty of special pizzas, or you can build your own. Each one has a fully-cooked but not burnt crust, pretty close to the classic New York style that's an hour south. It's hard to resist a good pizza, so we haven't tried too much of the rest of the menu. Our forays into the appetizer section have been great, and the dishes I see pass by all give my eyeballs a feast. The craft beer selection is a little thin, with a list of five or six regional ones scrawled in chalk on one wall. Still, if you like IPA's, lagers, or ales, you should find at least one you'll like. Street parking can be a pain, but there is a parking garage a few blocks away that's free at night. EV owners, you'll have to fight over a double-corded L2 ChargePoint station around the corner. (Get with the times, Peekskill!) Fortunately, I think it's free for the first few hours, so consider yourself lucky to get a plug!

The restaurant was extremely busy and clearly understaffed -- there were only two servers working incredibly hard. Service was definitely slow, but I give them a lot of credit for doing their best under the circumstances. They were very gracious and even brought us a complimentary drink to apologize for the wait, which was a really nice touch. Despite the delays, the food was excellent. The nachos were great, the French dip and chicken sandwich were both very good, and honestly, the fries were some of the best I've ever had. We also tried their house-made beer, which was delicious. One thing to note is the layout of the restaurant. It's right next to (and partially within) the arcade, so it can get very loud with lots of kids running around and yelling. I can definitely see the appeal for parents -- being able to eat and have a drink while keeping an eye on their kids is a big plus. For those without kids or looking for a quieter, kid-free night, it's just something to be aware of. That said, I'd love to come back in the summer and sit on the outdoor deck along the water. Overall, a cool spot with great food.

I paid for my food when I ordered and the girl whims the bar that took my order kept the coins of my change without asking. Wouldn't patronize this place again if it was the only place open.

To find it, drive up to the top (third) level and it faces away from the street at the end (furthest from where you drive into the third row). It's a great neighborhood pub that happens to have some indoor virtual golf rooms. There's a lot of space and not so many tables in the front section, which get filled up on trivia night. The service was very friendly. I had the ribs special with fries. I was a bit surprised when it came out with only three ribs. They were also pretty small. On the good side, the meat fell off the bone. The rub, if there was one, was not evident. The sauce that came with it tasted like store-bought sauce. Maybe one of the Jack Daniels BBQs. It was thick and very sweet. Fries were standard shoestring that also felt like they were store bought, but they weren't greasy at all. I'll try the wings next time. If they are not on special, they are pretty expensive if you calculate the cost per wing. Decent beer selection. Guinness comes from the can and they use the small 12oz tulip glasses. They do have a small selection on tap. Prices are reasonable, even for the specials, although the serving size is only good enough for a snack for anyone bigger than a 6th grader. Burgers seemed much bigger and plentiful from what I could see. Trivia on Thursdays is fun, although it is corporate trivia, which is not as much fun as personally tailored trivia that you see in some other places. They have lots of numbers questions or facts that no one would ever know because they are too detailed and the host generally does not understand the answers or mispronounces them. Definitely worth a visit if you are local, but don't come hungry if you plan to order a special.
