I've been here twice and both times the food was amazing and the service was good. They are a little expensive but it's worth it to treat yourself sometimes. I can't drink right now since I'm pregnant, but I love to get a cocktail with my fancy dinner. I asked if they have any non-alcoholic cocktails, and the waiter made me the best freaking virgin mojito that ever existed. It's been about two years since we've been in and wow, there were huge changes. We were really looking forward to our visit as the food was always delicious and the atmosphere has always been very pleasing. Our most recent visit was somewhat underwhelming. The menu was different and the cuisine focus somewhat changed. We ordered the jibarito and were asked which side we wanted. It turns out the side wasn't included and we're surprised by the charge on the bill. The jibarito itself was significantly smaller and I compared it to my previous photos to confirm. The steak used to be so flavorful and it wasn't flavorful at all this time around. The only item we truly enjoyed was our bacon wrapped shrimp tapa. That was really tasty. They told us it would be a wait for the food since the theater across the street just had a show that ended but we honestly only waited like 15-20 for food, basically the normal waiting time. The food was REALLY good. A little too salty overall but some of the best food in this area. We were staying for a few days in Croton-on-Hudson and looking for a place to celebrate my birthday. We really enjoy tapas and the ability to share a few dishes. We arrived early, about 4 pm and had a reservation. We were the first people there and seated by the bartender who also took our order. Ordered the Trip to Seville cocktail which was excellent. For dinner we had the Loaded Papa, Pinchos de Pollo, Gambas Al Ajillo and the Pulpo a la Parilla. All were delicious but we especially enjoyed the Loaded Papa and the Pinchos de Pollo. Everything was so good we wished we would have had time to go again. They also serve breakfast and brunch. We took home an order of Tres Leches Cake for my birthday and enjoyed it at home. I was deeply skeptical going in as I'd had trouble making a rez on the website which looked lovely but didn't function in rez making, so I called and was further put off by an idiot who couldnt take or confirm a rez in a timely manner. But what I found having eaten there is an immigrant group or team doing the best they can, graciously working together to provide a BEAUTIFUL experience for me and my girlfriend. God Bless America. Pork belly could've had more chimichurri sauce lathered on or something acidic to balance the heavy fat of the meat; I don't think it should have been paired with another fat-- the guacamole. The croquettes were good though could've also used a better sauce to pair. The peril was delicious but could've been a bit more juices or decadent or had more chimichurri sauce. The food was excellent. But they seemed very understaffed. I made a reservation online but they didn't have it when I arrived. Made several errors with us, and table next to us. I felt bad for the wait staff because there weren't enough of them. This restaurant is near an event venue and there was a show that night, so I understand why it was busy, but they need more staff. The place is located in a cute little town of Peekskill. If you're hiking at bear mountain or nearby trails, great spot to drop by after a hike. This is a tapas place with several decently portioned dishes to try and share. The service was fast and waiter was attentive. We ordered 4 tapas (mentioned in the pics) and a flight of sangria. I'm a light drinker so, the light sangrias with fruit flavors were great for me. All the tapas that we ordered were pretty delicious and carefully made. My top 2 would be the crab cake and ceviche. Great little place. Beautiful inside with a rustic feel with exposed brick and wooden accents. Nice Artwork on the walls. It is very small but charming with a linear space which gives it a " NYC / SOHO " type feel. The food was very delicious and the Bar is beautiful. Have had the delicious bacon wrapped stuffed dates, complex, lush and very yummy. Fresh Spanish sardines on toast were straightforward and delicious. Grilled artichoke hearts on crostini were very good. Grilled Chimichurri Shrimp were not flavorful enough, very bland Chimichurri sauce! Chimichurri needs more fresh parsley and lemon/lime juice and salt. Pinchos De Pollo, chicken skewers were not a favorite, thigh meat, was a bit bland and I am not a fan of thigh meat. The french fries are very delicious. I was able to try it because it looked very good and I didn't order a burger but being that he did and I am a fan of burgers I figured I'd try it and I was very pleased. I got the Ropa Vieja and it was very delicious. I definitely would be ordering again from them as I was very pleased with this experience. I didn't stay inside, but it did look really nice inside and the staff was very very nice. We did get food to go, but we definitely are planning to go and actually stay there to eat. Amazing Tapas!, I for one am usually against tapas just due to portion sizes but Iron Vine was a wonderful experience. Let's dive right in, parked on the street but adequate parking around, and a municipal lot close by, first glance ambiance was quiet and casual, loved the 3D deco on the walls. Staff was welcoming and was seated right away. Good place for a casual lunch or family dinner. Sadly no cocktails for me today but will try some next time around. Started off with the Avocado Salad, Beef Empanadas, Patatas Bravas, Croquetas de Chorizo and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Salad was delicious, fresh avocado on top, dressing was appetizing, the beef empanadas were decently packed but I would try everything else if its your first time here. Patatas Bravas, maybe you can but here can't go wrong with these delicious potatoes, some pieces had a nice crisp to them and it was serviced with a mild garlic aioli sauce. I was a fan of the Croquetas as well, coated with panko, great taste of the mango habanero(not too spicy) so don't be afraid. The Bacon wrapped shrimp, the shrimp by the way were great size, wrapped withe applewood smoked bacon and came with a nice chipotle dipping sauce. For the main I had the El Jabarito, I saw that you could get this sandwich on tostones as bread and that sold me right at the start. The skirt steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, the pickled onions, avocado and the chipotle sauce gave each bite great flavor, be wary of slippage but was very enjoyable with a side with yucca fries. Sadly no dessert, but just to mention service was great and servers were attentive while we sat towards the front. I would recommend this to all my friends and family and would frequent this spot to include some cocktails to try next time. Please visit and enjoy! read more

Needed a place halfway between Rochelle and New Windaor. Peekskill is a good location, so I performed a Google search. I called the day of and was able to get a reservation for 7 p.m. The town seems to have several quaint places. I would recommend a reservation as the place is small and cozy. The decor is nice and I love the sliding door. We got so much food and shared everything. It was all very good. We enjoyed: Chips with salsa and guacamole, Meatballs, Bacon wrapped dates, coquette with chirizo. Pork belly, Hummus with meatballs. I do believe my favorite was the pork belly and then the coquette. I love tapas and having so many people so you can try so many things. I'm so happy we found this adorable little restaurant for our girls night. I'm actually sad I'll be moving and won't get to take the hubby there. We opted for tapas and a salad to share between the three of us. It was so much food! Too much, to be honest. The servings are big and the drinks were pretty good as well. We had a carafe of the hibiscus mojito. I'd say a carafe is about 6 glasses, so definitely worth the $39. For tapas we ordered the veggie empanada, chicken empanada, patatas bravas, guacamole with chips, and chicken salad scoops. We also ordered the crispy calamari salad and sides of both fries and tostones. Everything was really good! The empanadas were probably my favorite, but I was happy with all of it. For dessert we tried the tres leches cake and the caramel apple empanada, which is served with vanilla ice cream. Came here today for an early dinner, place still has a nice Ambience, nice bar with good selection of spirits. I ordered Buffalo wings for starters, the home made blue cheese was very good, but I got the feeling the wings were pre cooked and reheated for service. I also had the chorizo and shrimp dish with veggies and mashed potatoes, but again I got the feeling the food was precooked and again reheated for service. I was so looking forward to a good Spanish style meal, but fell short today. Something was missing. The skinny margarita was ok but had way too much lime juice and no flavor. They were able to seat us super quickly even though there was reservations coming in as well. They have an extensive drink menu and some awesome Hispanic beers on tap. The music and the ambiance really made the meal great. We ordered a few different things off of the menu but the Salmon was by far the best! We finished off our meal with some French press coffee that hit the spot. My only qualm was the waitress only checked on us once besides us ordering our drinks and food.
