We have been dining regularly here since they opened. They are very friendly and of course, being so yummy, always busy! We don't mind the wait. It's really good food, not just your normal run of the mill Azteca or other chains. This will always be our #1 stop for sit down, tasty Mexican food. I always get the Pollo Chipotle - and the waitress always says "without mushrooms, right?" That kind of service and remembrance of customers is terrific. Chips and Salsa and that little side of cabbage stuff is delicious. My favorite thing above all is the rice and beans - they are not just blah. We ordered pollo chipotle and it was delicious. I'm not mexican so i cant comment on authenticity of the dish but it was bursting with flavor. My favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is authentic and delicious. I've had the Pollo Chipotle and Carne Asada, both were perfect. Can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review about a restaurant I love so much. I work nearby and have been spoiled by my visits here for lunch. I have frequented this business since it was originally Jalisco's and could not be more proud of what they've done and how far they've come. To start off with, the service and ambiance are top notch. The greeter and server remember who I am and, at times, will remember what I regularly order. Every time I have visited, I have noticed that they have, in some way, improved on the look and feel of their place of business - new decorations have been hung, murals have been painted, and even the layout has changed. They take great pride in what they do and how they appear here. My regular dish is a simple plate of chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. What I enjoy is the sauce and seasoning they use. My chicken never tastes like "just chicken." Every bite is so flavorful and I don't know how they infuse so much of the dish with the sauce, but it, along with the folks there will keep me coming back. Gracias! read more

I love the cabbage pico and their salsa they bring as appetizer is top notch, a little more heat than most which is awesome in my opinion. They do an excellent job on both the carne asada and any camarone (shrimp) dish we have had. read more

Offering merely serviceable American/Mexican fare, this place must make great margaritas to draw the crowds who fill its parking lot and regularly spill over into spaces at the RiteAid pharmacy that sits just behind it. The al pastor and pescado tacos are over-filled and inedible as hand food, which is pretty much the point of tacos. The overstuffing is, I suspect, their justification for turning a $10 plate of tacos, rice and beans into a $15 dinner. If the food were a bit better, it might be worth suffering the atmosphere, which features a noisy crowd, an enormous television, and at least one waitress who should have her own ZIP code to contain the overwhelming odor of her generously applied personal fragrance. Come to think of it, it may have been her cloud of cologne that interfered with my ability to taste any significant flavors in the food. read more

I generally like the food here. The wait can sometimes be long. It's frustrating because no one greets you when you walk in. And if someone does greet you, it's a very young boy that works there. He is great at bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and grabbing things for the table-however, he is NOT good at being a host. He doesn't have a clue about how long it takes to turn tables. He always quotes us "20 minutes" and is usually more than an hour off. I don't mind waiting for great Mexican food, but at least give me a more accurate timeframe of how long I will have to wait. We came in around 11am, and the restaurant had only one other party, but when we were seated and only asked one question about the menu she rudely said she "doesn't have time for all the question stuff" and started walking away until we told her we would just order quickly. Our food was good except the pork was very dry and tasted like it was not fresh. Lastly we ordered two friend ice cream dessert and they gave us a super hard extremely frozen ball of ice cream with corn flakes that were also frozen as hell and was definitely not just recently prepared. Love this family style restaurant dishing up authentic, spicy Mexican food. Great veggie options. The salsa is hooooot! Lots of space and great service. They even have a cozy little bar. Great for kids too. We got the traditional Mexican favorite called Vegetarian. Yeah, it is just called that becoz the Spanish name is too tough to pronounce. Food was good, but because of the SLOW service I had to bump my rating down. I dont know if we came on an especially busy night (Wednesday!) but the service was so slow. We took our neighbors out for dinner, they both ordered sodas and my husband and I both had waters. For some reason, they kept up on the soda refills, but getting water refills was like pulling teeth. I think we got our waters refilled once and our neighbors got at least 3 refills on their sodas. The food was really good actually. I had a chicken and cheese enchillada and a taco. The flavors on the enchillada were great. Probably one of the best I've had in a long time. My husband got the chimichanga and that was tasty as well. The worst thing was waiting. We waited for our bill to come after dinner, which it never did... we finally had to go up to the reception desk to ask for it! Then once we got it we waited again... do we take it up front to pay, or does our server ever come and take it? It was beyond frustrating. 2 hours for dinner is crazy. read more

Hands down our favorite local Bothell Mexican restaurant (that we've been to). I crave their Chile relleno, beans and their pico de gallo. We've always had the best service and my daughter is constantly asking to go here. She is only 4. The kids menu is adequate. The prices are reasonable. Parking lot is a bit small and the smell is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. I have no idea why is smells like sewer only by the front door when you enter. read more

Have been here several times. Unassuming exterior right off of downtown Bothell way, this cheerful, casual, restaurants focus is on food and warmth. A family vibe, with generous servings, consistently friendly, fast service and great flavor, a favorite local joint. The house specials are great! The ceviche is always a little different, always good, always fresh. Like the jalapeno margs and the foods we have tried have been good, fresh and a cleaner taste profile than I might have expected. I've been in a couple times now and I've had a decent experience, but as far as Mexican food in this area goes, Pasion is certainly not the best, but it's also certainly not the worst. My most recent endeavor here was on Friday night. We literally waited 30 minutes for a table. Nothing on the menu is less than $12 (at least as far as meals go, including all the combinations.) The special that night was two enchiladas for $8.95, so I decided to give that a try. Since it was so packed, it took quite a while to have our order taken or to get our food. Our food came before our drinks, so obviously the bar was backlogged. The salsa was also way too spicy for me, and I'm not too much of a wuss when it comes to spice, though I am a little bit. Overall, this is a good place to come if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

This is bothell so I gave them the benefit a doubt. Service was excellent even though it was packed. Food came out quickly and in generous portions. Food was good so 4 out of 5 on my review. I never really crave Mexican food so I find it hard to give any Mexican restaurant 5 stars. Gf had enchiladas rancheros and I had Arturo's special plate. Happy with both. For dessert we had the deep fried ice cream. Pass on this one if you come. They made it like a banana split so it took away from the whole deep fried ice cream concept IMO. We were around this area looking for a Mexican restaurant with good reviews and decided on Pasion. It was around 2:30pm so the place was pretty empty, only two other customers and still the service was a bit slow. The server brought a basket of fresh fried chips but I really didn't care for cabbage salsa. Cabbage Salsa! It was just weird. Good prices during lunch time with good size portions but the quality is about the same as any other Mexican family restaurant. The ingredients didn't taste very fresh, it felts like the had been sitting somewhere and was re-heated as we ordered. Maybe it's my fault for coming in such a weird hour. Margarita was the only thing that I enjoyed but was not enough to save this place from going to my so so Mexican restaurants list. read more

This place is great. I am always on the lookout for great Mexican food and this, coupled with a great happy hour that they allow me with my two kids to have outside the bar, hits the spot. The food is plentiful and delicious. The drinks are not watered down. The only thing keeping this from being a five star is the service. It's not that the service is bad but that they don't have enough people serving! I have had a lengthy wait time every time I've gone. This place is a hidden gem. The food is always good and consistently good. I usually get the tortilla soup and the portions are huge! It has avocados, the tortilla chips and cheese (and of course the chicken) which I think is important since I have had it at other restaurants and they don't always have all 3 of those ingredients. I also usually get the Carne Asada (skirt steak) and it is flavorful and cooked really well. It also comes with rice, beans and tortillas. Portions in general are very large here. This place has such good food... which is made evident by the THRONGS of people it has attracted. Show up after like, 5:30 on pretty much any given night and you are in for a wait. It's worth the wait, but plan ahead. We made the mistake of heading to Azteca after seeing a completely full parking lot and a line out the door on a friday night. SO disappointed. Their restaurant style salsa is great, but I love that they also bring a cabbage-y salsa thing too. I don't know what it is, and I suppose I could ask, but man, it's great. I like to mix the two because I like a super chunky salsa. I love that they have Negra Modelo on tap. It's a beautiful thing. If beer isn't your favorite, there's always a delicious Patrón margarita. My boyfriend and I go here all the time! Sometimes even with a large group of friends after club. I usually get the appetizers since they big enough for me. Usually the side enchiladas, and I've tried all the sauces! My favorite is probably the Spicy Sweet Mole sauce with chicken. My boyfriend would switch off between the Fajitas and Super Burrito. The super burrito is amazing! The people who work there are very nice and friendly. If something goes wrong, they'll gladly fix that for you. Yummy! Wow, this place came highly recommended by a Bothell local and Arizona native, who said its the best Mexican food in Seattle. Well, I can't confirm that it's the best in Seattle just yet, but I can confirm how good it is! The hubby and I bundled the baby up and went to get some grub. Little one cooperated and slept most of the meal while we enjoyed fresh and fairly authentic fare and washed it down with margaritas made with a heavy hand! Our favorite Mexican spot on the Bothell area. If you decide to give it a try, please, please, please order something other than the combo plates that every other Mexican restaurant has. They have these, and they are perfectly fine, but there many hidden gems if you are willing to be a little adventurous. Any of their pork dishes are AMAZING and they have a surprisingly good steak. Also quite good are the spicy mole enchiladas. We always order something new when we come and we have yet to be disappointed. I came in and placed an order to go. I was greeted immediately and got my food right away with little wait. This is why I gave an extra star from my experience. The food was not good. I brought is back home my wife would not even eat it. After over paying and seeing the reviews I thought at least the food had to be good. But I was wrong. I ordered the poll al la Crema and it was dowsed in onions with very few pieces of chicken. The pico looked like it was bad and not fresh. The guacamole just had a few pieces of tomato cut into it and the Carne Asada burrito was very bland tasting . I did not see any effort from the cooks. This is the first time in my life I had a bad experience at a Mexican Resturant . My wife left the house and went to Taco Bell. That was upsetting to me. Probably the best tasting and authentic Mexican food in Bothell, perhaps even within a 10 mile radius. I went with a group of friends for Cinco de Mayo, and we were seated after waiting about 20 minutes. They have great alcoholic drinks - everything you would expect for a Mexican restaurant: margaritas, Mexican beer, etc. The food came out fairly quickly, and it tasted delicious. I hadn't had good Mexican food since moving from California, and this restaurant satisfied my urge to feast on a good burrito and some chimichangas.
