Pasion Tequila always hits! I haven't been in to dine recently, but have been getting more takeout here. Their takeout portions are HUGE! Enough for like 3 meals for me. They do not hold back on rice and beans either. The chips come out hot, they use sustainable packaging, and it's super easy to call an order in. My shrimp enchiladas were amazing, and the server who helped me out was super kind and prompt in getting our order, even on a busy night. I will say- the margaritas at the restaurant are amazing, but we did not love the takeout margaritas. Maybe drinking it out of a big glass makes all the difference, who knows. Recently moved up to the Bothell area and I have been disappointed with the lack of tacos and Mexican food. I went here for my brother in laws birthday and was blown away! Fresh chips and salsa, of course! The margaritas were delicious. The Camarones A La Diabla sold me on this place. It is one of my favorite dishes ever! Such a bummer. The food here is always amazing and it's what keeps bringing us back, but unfortunately the service just sucks. We've gone here a couple times and every time the service is quick in the beginning but then falls short at the end. They seem to just abandon you. Went today, people who came in after us got their food before us, server let us know food was coming, we just ordered burritos so shouldn't take long. And then after we got our entrees, server disappeared. We sat there for roughly 20 minutes waiting for our check while she walked around completely oblivious. I was excited to try Pasion based on reviews but found the food mediocre and the service disappointing. Went in for lunch. The carne asada was thin and a bit dry. When my dish was delivered, I saw my server brush a hair off the side of the plate before he thought I noticed. My spouse's enchiladas were made with the wrong meat filling. Was enjoying a lovely afternoon/early evening with my husband. We had a couple appetizers and drinks. My husband said we would like to order dinner. The server (who appeared to be a long time employee or part of management/ or ownership) took his order- never looked at me and before I could place an order walked away. She then returned with his dinner. Again didn't even look at me. I'm an overly polite person who usually tips generously. It's bizarre. She seemed annoyed with me that I ordered a margarita sans all the sugar when we first ordered. I just can't imagine that being the reason she was so disrespectful to me. I love Pasion Tequila. When I moved to the area a few years ago, Pasion was the first restaurant recommended to me by a friend that has lived here for years. The staff is so kind and they remember you after the first visit. The food is incredible. The drinks are strong and tasty. I am always excited for my next trip back here. We love sitting in the bar area. There is a indoor/"outdoor" area which is heated in the winter and has great airflow in the summer. I love to get the tacos al pastor. We went here for a quick dinner one night. The restaurant is really well decorated and we got seated right away. The menu is huge and there are so many options! I wasn't in love with the enchiladas I got, but I will definitely be back to try something different! They have a really good happy hour as well, every day 11-6, and includes beer, margs, wine, wells, and apps. I definitely want to take advantage of this deal, so I will probably go for happy hour next time! Our server started out slow to take our orders, but ended up being really good and nice! Beware of stickers in food First time trying this place out and was disappointed. Food taste was okay, but that was quickly diminished by the sticker we found in the guacamole that came with the entree. We notified our waitress of this, she said "Oh, okay" and proceeded to bring us our check. Not even an apology was offered for us finding an avocado sticker in our food. I'm not someone that complains about a meal in hopes to get a discount or free item, but to not even say "sorry" was diabolical. Been here a couple times, and even during COVID this place has been amazing! Food quality has not been sacrificed, and flavor is great! Service is friendly, patient, and following guidelines. We have been looking for good Mexican food since moving from AZ and this has been by far our favorite! This restaurant has watched me grow up from elementary school to 22. The food is amazing especially with how I need my food to be consistent because of the tisim. The food never disappoints and always hits the spot after a long day. The service is amazing they are so kind and are ontop of it even when they have groups. The tvs are always playing sports. Last night was my first time there and I was not disappointed! I ordered Carne Asada based on other reviews and the seasoning was beyond perfection. I asked for a medium cook (thin steak often get dry) and it was done perfectly. I did find it odd that it didn't come with grilled jalapeños (or a spicy pepper in general), as that's traditional. I asked for grilled Serrano's, which they had. My boyfriend (his second time there) got the Molcajete Mexicano (for the second time) and devoured it as if he had not eaten in weeks! Their salsa is AMAZING!!! Portions are huge! Staff and service were all very friendly and accommodating. A bit of a "hole in the wall" but those are the best!!! As a group of 5 friends. we really likedl this place and have been coming for years. But our last visit was awful. The boneless CHICKEN dishes were flooded with garlic salt, especially in the red sauce. It was inedible. The now $25 PORK dishes a couple of us ordered had about 2 ounces of dry, shredded salty meat and the rest was soggy onions and bits of jalapeño. The only saving grace was the waitress who apologized and was as gracious as you can be under the circumstances. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

I like that in many places you get a small cup when you order a margarita and here that is not the case! Our friends ordered the ceviche and they really enjoyed it. We order the fajitas and it was good! the rice and beans looked meh- so i just ate them with the corn tortillas. The corn tortillas came a little cold, but I was too hungry to order another one and just mixed them up with the hot fajitas (it was fine!) When the check came it was kinda a mess to be honest. The folks who greeted us, and the server, were really pleasant, the decor was cozy, and the chips and salsa were promising. We ordered the two taco combo plate with "crispy" tacos. I hate to say this, but it was no better than Taco Bell. The tortillas were your basic pre-fab shells that you'd buy at Safeway, and the cheese, rather than actual Mexican cheese like Cotija, was graded cheddar--in big shreds--that pretty much covered everything. Seriously, it was like "pot luck Mexican food." I was so bummed. The sign says "Mexican food made with heart," or something like that. More like with a Betty Crocker cookbook. I have a mixed review. Let me start by saying that we love Pasion Tequila. We had dinner there ordering spinach enchiladas and a combo plate. Our dining experience was good. Socially distanced, obvious cleaning done, a table set with hand sanitizer at each table. Our food was delivered quickly and tasted very good. We took some of our food home as the servings are good sized. The next day I had my leftovers of the spinach enchiladas. In one of my bites there was a hard crunch, I immediately spit out the food and sadly found two pieces of GLASS in my food. Sadly I could not eat the rest of my food. I've come here a few times with my husband but also my sister and brother in law. We always get there and are greeted right away and most of the time sat right away. We have sat in the restaurant side and also the bar side. The employees are all great! They are all friendly and helpful. They recognize us and come by our table just to chat. We have had many items on their menu and it's all amazing! The food comes out hot. They are all made with fresh ingredients and the portions are huge. They have a full service bar so you can get what ever drink your feeling like. The wine selection isn't great but the other drinks are!! This restaurant is family friendly for sure. My hubby and I celebrated Taco Tuesday with take-out from Pasion Tequila in downtown Bothell and I think it will become part of our quarantine routine. We've eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and have always enjoyed our experience. When things get back to 'normal', they have a great happy hour. This is the second time we've ordered take-out from here since the stay at home order and it's some of the best we've had. They package the food really well so it keeps its quality on the trip home. They have a great fajita platter for two that left us with leftovers for a couple of days after! The portions are generous and always leave us with leftovers! And, to go margaritas?? YES PLEASE. Food tastes good but is greasy so much so that I ended with a very bad case of heartburn and other consequences.
